Maryland Fried Chicken Original

I was starving so I just needed a place to check out and eat before I return back to work. So I decided on this place and I'm glad I did. One of the first things I noticed was that there is a picture of the owner on the wall right next to Chef Art Smith. For those of you who don't know, Chef Smith has two or three different restaurants around the central Florida area and they're all famous for chicken so I already had an idea that the chicken had to be extremely good. The lady realized that I was from the school district, and hooked me up explaining the menu to me. I had a few pieces of chicken and it was absolutely delicious. I ate it before I left the restaurant. Fried crispy golden, seasoning was on point and all. I ended up getting my coworker Some food as well because it was so good, but so far so good and I will certainly be back again to get some more food in my system from this place.

This was at East colonial store. No one was there at lunch time. Counter person was not helpful but I did order three-piece white meat with potato salad and mashed potatoes and it was the takeout so when I got home I did not have my side orders. Just the three piece of dry white chicken. Was not happy with my experience at this restaurant. How was the only one in the restaurant and for them not to have my order correct? Very disappointing. This was my first and last time to visit this restaurant. Do not go. You will be disappointed

Best fast food fried chicken in Orlando. The other chains can't touch it. Tasty, crispy, hot fried chicken. Tasty mashed potatoes and gravy. Excellent cole slaw. Delicious collard greens. And they have added water ice in various flavors - a staple of my childhood growing up in Central NJ. Generally good customer service. But the CHICKEN is the star (as it should be)!!Not all locations are created equally. I have tried two others. Nowhere near as good. If you're in the area, give them a try. You will return!

I love this brach. They x are always friendly. My favorite is the gizzards. You can't get livers and gizzards at most other fried chicken places. The gizzards here are always cooked to perfection.

Really good chicken!! Love the seasoning. Served up crispy and hot. Friendly service too! TIP: Call in your order so you don't have to wait.

I typically don't do chain restaurants, but sometimes the craving hits! Sometimes I want a slight variation to my fast food chicken place that isn't cajun or extra tasty crispy... I hit up Maryland. The chicken is flavored a bit more savory and usually fried crisp. I noticed other reviewers complaining about the chicken, but i never seem to have a problem.What sets this place apart is the sweet southern white lady that is usually there. I don't know her name, but she is a pro. Doesn't matter how difficult the customer and how rough some of the clientele can be, she is very courteous and still efficient in that way only southern women can be.2017 Yelp 100 Challenge 3/100

never order the chicken wings. they are the size of your thumb ! depending upon who is there, if you order the 3 pieces or 4 piece wing dinner, they double the amount of wings they give you and you receive 6 wings or 8 wings. however, if the nasty female food preparer is there she smiles at you and sends you out the door with 3 scrawny dried out chicken wings for $8 dollars !!!go to publix and get 3 beautiful big fried chicken wings for $4 dollars and better customer service!!!

Sorry, service! Can not answer their phones! They do not even have voicemail! They do not care about customer service!!! Not our old Maryland Fried Chicken! These people should have taken lessons from the original owners from Winter Garden!!!

I like Chicken Nugget Dinner, and Boneless Wings, it taste good and I love this place because it was good

This location had the best fried okra in town. We eat it as a side dish and as a replacement for croutons on salads. We also really like their chicken livers. We eat them as our meat dish and sometimes put them over field greens with a balsamic dressing. Angel, the owner is very nice. So is the rest of her team.
