Maryland Fried Chicken of Union Park

Ok the place looks totally sketchy. And obviously you aren't supposed to dine in. This is take out only! But you are in for a treat.Of course, the fried chicken is top notch for fast food. Better than KFC and Popeyes and whatever else you want to throw at it. But that's not the good part.Next is the baked beans. Don't skip the beans! They are tremendous. Although 4R is better by a margin.The star of the show, now don't sleep on this, is the creamy coleslaw. Seriously. It defies all logic how good this is. Can coleslaw be the star of a meal? Heck yes!I should probably just have a big container of beans and slaw aways in my fridge from MFC. Don't snooze on this place.

Tiny overpriced chicken. Soft gizzards with no chew to them. There is nothing more to be said. Hard pass.

This place has been around since I was a kid and has always been good. The only reason for less stars is because they have kind of fallen a little behind when it comes to making sure that the food is made fresh/hot. My chicken wasn't hot however, I knew that it was still made that day as it was sitting under a lamp, but it did taste good. Just was warm/cold... I had to go home to reheat it and it was good. I would come back, and I would more than likely ask for something more fresh lol.

Been coming here for years! Glad they've survived. All I've ever eaten is their wings and sauce as they are excellent. Bought 50 for a small gathering and they were a hit. So many places try to skimp and not change their oil but it's always fresh tasting here at MFC. Thank you.

So I grew up in Plant City and loved Maryland Fried Chicken so when we came to Orlando and they had one there I knew we had to get some. So we went here last night and when we drove up the building looked condemnable. I asked the guy at the counter if we got the 21 piece meal how much would be the up charge to make all the legs and thighs into wings and breast and he told me no substitutions if we wanted specific pieces we had to order everything individually. So I ordered 16 breasts and 6 wings along with two pints of coleslaw 2 pints of macaroni salad a pint of baked beans and a large fry. That cost me $140. I insisted on freshly cooked chicken so we waited about 20 minutes which I didn't mind. When it came time to bag the food he started putting the chicken breasts into styrofoam containers and was piling them on top of each other and was just going to shove it into a plastic bag which would have meant the chicken was going to go everywhere since the lid didn't close. I've eaten Maryland Chicken for over 50 years and they always Put everything in a bucket or for individual it came in boxes with the Maryland chicken logo. Nothing about this location is done in the Maryland fried chicken way including how it's cooked and the quality of the chicken. They would always ask if you wanted a traditional breast or the pulleys which this location doesn't even have. The sides were awful and $8 a pint. The bathrooms were disgusting and had I seen them first I'd not have eaten here at all. How this place can pass a health inspection is beyond me. The moral of this story is if you want real Maryland fried chicken done the right way then drive on to Plant City.

Chicken is really good and crispyEven the chicken breast is moist and I usually hate white meat because it's so dryIt's a little hole in the wall and if you judge by appearance you won't eat here (I don't judge by appearance usually but I wouldn't eat here - it's not so nice on the inside)But for sure the chicken is good!!

I am very tempted to give this place a five star review because the chicken is tasty, not greasy, crunchy, and well portioned, but... if I am the only customer, and they mess up the order.... what's going on?The place itself looks like someone's old garage, with an old TV sitting on a brick, one bottle of hot sauce that you need to share, I don't know, it's Orlando weird. But that is the charm, and the food is really good. Also, if you sit down to eat, you get to see some weird stuff happening outside. It is safe, but it is weird. The drive thru is very busy, with most patrons deciding to take their food home. Only the brave sit down to eat, I guess...Put it on your bucket list.

Absolutely loved their fried chicken and their hot wings...mashed potatoes and gravy were also very good...liked the fries which is always a great side when eating fried chicken. Cole Slaw was ok...would definitely be back.

Best chicken I've ever eaten! Although I live in Titusville, I never miss the chance to pick up an order of their chicken whenever I'm in the Orlando area. Highly recommend their food.

Tiny chicken,overpriced. Not the place it once was.Loved eating here when Angel was there.
