Maryland Fried Chicken

I kept asking people if the Maryland fried chicken was good. So many folks didn't know! I love fried chicken and I had to try it! Whoa, this far exceeds the colonel chicken by far! Not too much breading and super tasty crunch with the skin. The chicken is juicy and tasty and so much flavor. I would say the beans and the mashed potatoes were good. If you are a fan of fried chicken, you cannot go wrong with this chicken! Yummy!

Absolutely amazing home style food that you used to beg your grandmother for. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for finger licking good chicken

My rating is primarily based on the food; the star deductions are due to other areas of my experience. I've been trying out many different restaurants that sell wings, because... I love wings! Why not... Maryland's is a small fried chicken restaurant in Leesburg. The appearance and the 'look of cleanliness' could use a bit of work (inside and out; seems to be primarily due to wear and tear). In regards to the food, I ordered a 10-piece wing (hot and garlic parmesan) and a kids meal (chicken leg, baked beans, roll and a small drink). I really liked my wings. I would have loved to have more sauce options but, in general, the chicken is always good here. No issues with customer service. It's very similar to most carry-out and fast food locations. The wait can be a bit slow, so expect to wait at least 20 min for your food. Calling ahead may be worth a try, if available.

Long wait in drive thru line. Only menu was at the window where you order. Under duress, since there was a line of cars behind us, we ordered 10 wings each. $13.99 each. Wings were very small and we should have ordered the sauce on the side.Publix was across the street. We could've gotten 20 wings for $14.98 there and they're much larger. Oh well, live and learn.

We drove about 45 minutes to come to Maryland's. We called ahead to make sure that they were still open and making orders cook to order. They guy that answered the phone (after about calling 10 times) told us that he's drop it so that it would be coming up as we got there. However upon getting the food, it was cold and you could tell that it was not fresh. I mean we could've chosen any chicken place for that long drive, and yet, they did not meet the standard or hold up their end of the deal. Also, the wings that were in the boxes were extremely tiny.

This chicken is the best in town. There is always a wait so be prepared for fresh fried chicken. It's situated next to KFC and across from Popeyes. It's better than both!

I'd heard good things about this chain but it's on par with KFC. Small pieces. Decent cole slaw, though. Mediocre food. Grimy interior. I'll stick with Publix fried and baked carry-out ... it truly is superb. Why does this site force you to write so much?

Best fried chicken and Lake County. Any small chicken joint to survive between a KFC and a Popeyes is doing something right. I don't know what kind of service and ambience you expect a fried chicken joint but they got the best fried chicken.

Horrible Service today Tuesday 4-25-2023! I will never return to this place! I called to place a Togo order. The black girl on the phone acted like she could not hear me. She hung up and I called back. She answered again. She said let me place you on hold. I help for almost 4 minutes and made it to the restaurant. As I was walking in the store she hung up. The whole whole I could hear everything in the background. The white man at the front I don't know if he was the manager or the owner but he was so nonchalant about it. He said they cook food to order. I order from this same place a couple weeks ago No problem! Today problem! Last time I order it was a white girl who took my order she was very nice! I just want go back! I'll spend my money somewhere else! I hope he go out of business!

I've always enjoyed MFC but the last two times I've visited the chicken has been TINY they should consider a new poultry vender---see pictures!!! Ordered a 21 piece bucket and was very dissatisfied.Potato and gravy ok and the coleslaw met expectations.
