Maroush Food

First time trying Arabic food and it did not disappoint! Friendly staff, good atmosphere, delicious food! Snapped a pic mid way through the meal as I was too excited to dig in and remembered too late

While I'm glad to have an authentic Middle Eastern place in Waterford Lakes, I was a bit disappointed in my first visit to Maroush. It took several minutes to be acknowledged when I was waiting to order at the register, and when my manakeesh was ready the waitress just plopped it on the table and walked away, like she wanted to just do the bare minimum. I ordered the cheese and zaatar option, which was fine - a bit oily but you could tell everything on it was fresh, and I liked seeing it be made to order in their wood burning oven. I have a pet peeve about places that don't give free water, so that's another mark against them - you have to buy bottled water, no tap option. I'll probably come back again with a bigger group and try some of their appetizers and other dishes...maybe the staff was just having a bad day.

We were greeted warmly and welcomed into their place. We commented on the Grand Opening sign and they told us their soft opening had just ended. Nice timing for us. The restaurant is fresh and clean. They have changed the general layout heavily since the BBQ joint closed over a year ago. It is bright and vibrant now. Great work! We were a bit confused by the ordering, but the manager, who was training a new cashier, walked us through it. Another review mentioned more food pictures and that would be very helpful. I hope Mourush does that. It would help people without a strong background in Arabic food to choose. They were still new and trying things. The music was fun and made us feel happy. The team suggested popular items and we use a QR code to call up a mobile menu. The food was EXTREMELY fresh tasting and the flavors were great. This is not a common style or food for us, so I can't say how authentic it is. I'll leave that for experts! We had some standards, like kebab and shawarma. But we paired that with some tasty dips we had never tried before. They came outside and checked on us during our meal. This included the chef who poked his head out to verify we got our food as intended. Thumbs up!

This is a new place, orders are at the counter, tables are numbered and they bring your food to the table. Their staff is helpful and friendly, their food covers all the Middle East tastes- cinnamon, garlic, citrus. Also- Halal. They have fresh, organic juices and their bread is made in house. Pretty oven! Good portions, freshly made. Their ambiance is casual, looks very new and clean. I'm loving it.

The food was great and service was fast and they are very friendly. Arabic chicken was great as was the hummus. So many things I will return to try.

New Arabic place opened in Waterford lakes. Stopped in for lunch. You know it's good when a lot of the customers are Arabic. I got take out and got, hummus, grape leafs, kibbeh and beef shawarma. Hummus was really good, gave a decent amount a pita bread. The grape leafs tastes like others places. Loved the kibbeh, one of my fav apps in Arabic food. Ended with beef shawarma, I held the onions. The bread it was wrapped in and soft and a little flakey. Great flavor and added tahini sauce and dipped it in the hummus as well. Over all the food was very good and the staff was great as well. I will be back. FYI if you order the ribeye just remember it's cooked and takes 30 minutes. Will get that next time.

They completely revamped this location from the prior restaurants in the space. At first glance the prices are a bit high, but my husband and I shared a single plate and could barely make it through all of the food - making it a great offering for the price. We ordered the mixed grill so that we could try a variety of the food offerings. I don't even like tabbouleh normally, but theirs was fresh and delicious! Everything was very very fresh tasting. We waited a bit for the food, but it was worth it. The chicken was flavorful and tender, the ribeye was juicy and the kefta(?) was some of the yummiest I've ever had. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Was in the area and wanted to try a new place. I was a little confused when I walked in. The tables are numbered so I assumed I would order at the front and then sit somewhere, but a kind waitress came up (probably saw the confusion in my face) to ask if we were taking out or dining in. So if you're taking out, you can go straight to the front. If dining in, have a seat! Scanned a QR code for the menu which was no frills. There are quite a bit of things on the menu so I think pictures would be nice (for those that eat with their eyes). I went with the platter and the bf went with the wrap. There is an up charge to get it with fries which was $6! The fries are good but $6 is too much. He enjoyed his wrap and I enjoyed my platter although I did ask for some garlic sauce to go with. I think some of the chicken would be too dry without the sauce.Overall, the place is good but a little on the pricey side. Lunch for two was $40 without tip. I personally wouldn't drive out of my way to go here, but if I were already in the area I'd stop in. I think it's worth a try. Waterford was lacking a shawarma place so happy to see this addition.

The best food ever. Everything is fresh and delicious! This is my 5th time coming her and I will be coming every week. We had the Syrian Kabab, Zara with vegetables, Organic Fresh Pineapple juice, organic fresh Tamarind. Love this place!!

We tried this place today for the first time! It is really outstanding!! The food is so authentic and delicious! The place is cute and supper clean and the service is outstanding.So delighted to have found this gem!! Highly recommended!
