Marlow's Tavern

Marlow's Tavern takes shrimp and grits to a whole new level. The shrimp are always perfectly cooked but the real standout is the grit cake. Instead of traditional creamy grits, they serve it as a crispy, golden cake that adds an incredible texture contrast. The rich, flavorful sauce ties everything together, with just the right amount of spice and depth. Every bite is balanced, comforting, and full of Southern flair. If you're a shrimp and grits fan, this dish is a must try!

Food was good. Service was very good. Food took a reasonable amount of time for the larger crowd. Price was about average to a bit high. Would return. Was a large crowd and quite loud.

Had a craving for some shrimp and grits and remembered that a few years prior I had a great shrimp dish at Marlow's Tavern, decided to try it again to see if it was as good as I remembered and...I was not disappointed! The shrimp and grit cake was wayyy better than I remembered. As you can see I started enjoying it and could barely stop before I remembered I needed a picture. I got the rum punch as a drink and it was very delicious.Our waitress was very attentive and gave us great service. I loved the sports channels on in the restaurant and as I got to watch 2 sports tournaments I've never seen before. Overall great experience!

The location and the overall ambience of this place truly have so much potential to thrive. The menu is limited and when we went unfortunately were seated waiting for service for over 30 minutes, we decided to leave and have lunch at Cooper's right across the street instead.

I liked the dim lighting and the ambiance inside. The music wasn't too loud and other peoples voices weren't too loud. The Cuban spring rolls were very greasy but very good! The outside was maybe a little too flaky but it was very flavorful if you're down to get a little greasy. The bacon jam wasn't the texture I was expecting but the burger was definitely good. The bacon jam was all one consistency and not very chunky. I really liked the fries as well, they were nice and crispy. Our waiter was friendly and good but he just seemed really busy. I wanted him to come a little sooner since I was just missing my dipping sauce but every time I looked at him he was at a different table, so I'm not sure if it's just potential understaffing or an unusually busy night. We also waited a while for him to take our payment but we paid cash so we ultimately just left and didn't have to wait. All in all, the food was good and so was the service.

Not being a fan of new American/gastropub cuisine (probably because it is the most common dining option in the US, and, man, do I like novelty), I had low expectations for Marlow's Tavern. Plot twist: I left the place pleasantly surprised with the quality of their food and service. Hence the 5 stars.Service: We were a group of 13 people attending a business dinner. The restaurant was able to seat us before the reservation time, as if no change had been made to the original reservation. Our waiter (I wish I had written down his name to add to my review) was extremely friendly, polite, and efficient. Kudos to him!Food:- Appetizers: We had two types of flatbread and a hummus plate with pine nuts and cauliflower. All of them were served at the right temperature and seasoned very well. No complaints.- Entree: I ended up going with the Grilled Atlantic Salmon (Jumbo Pearl Cous Cous, Tuscan Kale, Grapes, Toasted Almonds, Red Wine Reduction). Everything (seriously, every single ingredient in the dish) was cooked to perfection. The only slightly negative point was the grape addition. I didn't and still don't understand how grapes fit in this dish, but I was not that displeased with the experience - maybe the idea behind it is adding a different texture, as grapes give us that gentle pop as the skin breaks, followed by their juiciness. I truly don't see how its sweetness compliments the dish though. Ambiance: Just the typical gastropub restaurant: a neutral color palette and comfortable seating. I didn't get any "tavern vibes," but I wasn't honestly that attentive to the environment's details. That being said, I did love the sarcastic/clever posters in the restroom!

We went here with family for lunch over the weekend and enjoyed our meal here! We have been here a few times before, and have always liked the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. Our server was very nice and able to answer any questions we had. The food came out quickly and correctly too! The portions were reasonable for what you pay. We left full and happy! Overall I would recommend coming here, and would consider coming back again!

While I don't get to Marlow's often, it's always a pleasure when I do. Going here is never a hard decision because they are consistent. The food is always good. The cocktails are always delicious. And I always have good service. This is definitely a family friendly restaurant as well which is nice and they do have a kids menu. It's a nice vibe. The booths have high walls so even when the place is packed you don't feel like you're in everyone else's business. This is never not a good choice.

Food, and services, is amazing they are very kind and nice and this drink is amazing you should try it I highly recommend you should go here. It has strawberries, lemon, and Iced tea.
