I have been wanting to come here for awhile. This place is beautiful! I love the art pieces on the wall and the whole aesthetic of this restaurant. The service here is great, our server took her time talking to us and explaining all the menu items and giving us recommendations. I could not believe how good the food was. The Octopus was so tender, I have never had it cooked so perfectly and not taste rubbery. The potatoes were delicious. The Tostones Rellenos w Ceviche really surprised me. They were fried perfectly and the ceviche was amazing! The Lomo Saltado was cooked perfectly. You really need to try this place out. I can't wait to come back here and try their other menu items.

Great, very authentic flavors. We tried several of main dishes (parrillada, maki, arroz chaufa, pulpo parrillero) and others, and they were amazing. Kudos to the pulpo parrillero. Service was cery attentive and helpful. The decoration is neat, simple, but cool. We only had an issue with one dish that looonger that the rest. Besides that, five stars all the way.

This review is my opinion based on how often I eat out at restaurants. The food was not worth the money. I love to pay for quality and the quality of these dishes just weren't that good. The plates were very basic in taste and lacked high end ingredients. I spent $151 with tip for 2 orders of ceviche 1 was Vegan , octopus appetizer , 2 drinks 1 white sangria 1 pisco sour , and 1 dessert . I failed to take pics due to the dissatisfaction with the food overall. The service was very very good the Host and servers are very welcoming friendly and accommodating . The ambiance is vibrant white with pops of blue , cool little atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. I really wanted to like this place but , unfortunately I have to be honest. They should lower the prices based on the quality of these dishes .

Really neat hidden gem in Winter Park. Authentic Peruvian cuisine. The Papa a la Huancaina was perfectly made. Their freshly ceviche was bright and yummy. Their attention to detail and service was pleasant. The place is so inviting.

Working on Park Ave means you always have options for lunch. A few coworkers and I stopped by one afternoon and sat inside. There were only a few other parties seated, but it could've been the early afternoon hour we chose. Sitting outside would definitely be nice, but this was a day where Florida had yet to acknowledge that fall is here. Our waitress was attentive and kind, especially considering my two coworkers both had severe allergies. I ordered the fettuccine with the peruvian style huancaina sauce and chicken. Absolutely delicious! My coworkers had the lomo saltado and a ceviche bowl, both of which I'm told were delightful. Will definitely be back! Unfortunately, it may be priced out of my frequent favorites, but it would be a great special occasion location.

The portions are generous and the food is delicious! A culinary gem among Peruvian, restaurants popping up in the Orlando area. Excellent, helpful service that was always attentive yet not intrusive. Ambiance was clean with an intriguing ceiling.

We have been looking for a good Peruvian restaurant ever since we moved from the West Coast, and Mares has emerged as an outstanding candidate for the best we have found to date. For starters, the service was absolutely amazing, which is rare in Florida, but not only was it good for Florida, it was amazing period! The food itself did not disappoint at all. The Ceviche was absolutely beautiful, hit all the right notes and was fresh. Apparently the fish is flown in daily from Peru, but my memory may be failing me, so please don't quote me on that. The Limo Soltado was perfect, perfectly balanced, not too much rice, not too much sauce, and not too much potato. An absolute delight. The Parihuela was spot on, beautiful seafood broth and an explosion of delicious flavors and fresh seafood. We will always return whenever in Orlando. And with the weather so great, you can sit outside and enjoy the weather and the great ambiance of the location.

Our last meal in FL before heading off to the airport and then home. What a treat and we'll definitely be back!It was raining outside but inside, it was colorful and festive. I liked the quirky fish decor on the walls, made from kitchen utensils. There was a large party celebrating a birthday along with a couple of smaller groups and then us, a party of six. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, very thorough when he described the dishes. From the Chicha Moradas through to our Chocolucuma Mousse, the food was fantastic. I really enjoyed my Parilla Marina and the sauces that came with it.

Love the anticuchos but the last two times I've ordered them, they do not have them; I waited 20 minutes on my break and was told only when I went to pick them up that they could not make it. This was due to the app apparently. Instead they offered the octopus which was equally priced, so as someone who normally loves octopus agreed to accept they make me this instead, also with the fact that they said they could do it in 3 minutes or less. They were quite fast and when I got back to my job to eat it, it was quite delicious. Not what I originally wanted but it just quite almost made up for it. The flavor was wonderful and the texture wasn't too chewy thankfully. Happy to eat here again if they bring the anticuchos back.
