We made one last visit to Mama Melrose (it'll soon be closed for good. As usual, the food and portion sizes were fantastic.I had the Margherita Pizza, and added prosciutto as a topping. It was delicious.I'd say we will return, but the restaurant is closing.

I've been going to the Disney Parks regularly since 2001. I was a cast member and my home park was the Studios so I've spent lots of time here in particular. I had never been to Mama Melrose's other than in passing on my very first training day. After dining there last night, I know why. Let's talk about what was good first. The restaurant is wonderfully themed (no surprise) and I loved all the little details. There was a bit of a wait past our reservation but it was communicated well from the host stand and that is always appreciated. Our server Grant was friendly and made great recommendations (that I wish I would have taken) but also a bit absent when it came to refills. All of this was making for a good dining experience, but unfortunately I chose the wrong dish. My girlfriends enjoyed their meals (chicken parm and NY strip Steak) but the meal I ate...well, just didn't cut it. We started with Mozzarella sticks for the table. They were ok, nothing to write home about but I'm not expecting a reinventing of the wheel when I'm eating mozzarella sticks lol. My entree, Mama's Pasta with shrimp was so very very sad. The sauce was thin and breaking (butter separating) as I ate it. The Shrimp were ok but lacked seasoning. The squash was undercooked, the kale was nice but I wished there was more. I'll eat a mushroom however it's presented so I won't complain about that. All in all, I'm not going to be sad when this restaurant closes, but if you are at the studios and can't get in anywhere else you'll be ok here (just don't order Mama's Pasta).

Mama Melroses (permanently closing) I am truly sad to see them close their doors permanently on May 11, 2025. If anything, Hollywood Studios needs MORE sit down options, definitely not less. So here's my final shoutout to this quaint Italian spot. I love the cozy vibes and all the old school pictures on the wall. I also like that you can see the wood fired pizza oven. It's pretty standard Italian food, probably nothing that will knock your socks off, but it's our favorite sit down dining in HS. A lot of that has to do with the nostalgia for us. It's where we ate on our first trip in 2019 and have continued to go back over the years, eating here almost every time we're in HS. We've never had bad service and the food is always good. If you get Angela for your waitress, you're in for a treat because she's the best. We enjoy the complimentary bread and olive oil/herb mix. The caprese is light and fresh and so is the margherita pizza. The Mama's Italian Pasta and Spaghetti and Meatballs have always been my go-to order. Overall it's been consistently good experiences and I think it's worth a try before they say Arrivederci for the final time. ** The last day to enjoy Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano will be May 10, 2025. The location will permanently close on May 11, 2025, to make way for the new Monsters, Inc.-themed land coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios**

We came here one day for a Fantasmic dining package and we all thought it was worth it! The packages come with an alcoholic drink! We had the NY Strip to make the package worth our money. It was surprisingly amazing! It was cooked well and melted in my mouth! The Mac a cheese on the side was alright. Nothing amazing. My boyfriend ate all of his chicken Parmesan! My sister had the cannolis for dessert and she ate it all! I had the lemon mascarpone tart and it was good, but I wish it had more lemon/citrus flavor. The drinks were all delicious!

The food is okay. It's cheap and quick for Disney. Service is also okay but it's just a. Quick service. I think there's better quick service in Disney. Ambiance is cute if you like the muppets if not it just feels like another restaurant.

Honest 5* review! Such a great experience. We usually don't do too many sit down dinings while at the parks, but being 18 weeks pregnant we were taking it easier so welcomed the rest and a good meal. To start off we made reservations about two hours ahead of our meal time. Got there, checked in, and were seated about 5 minutes later. Quickly got our drinks (and they have good ice). My friend got a limoncello drink that she loved. I Ordered the Caesar and the mamas pasta with chicken I think it's called, and my husband got the fish over a ratatouille. Our friend got the Osso Bucco. All of it was delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the dishes packed a lot of flavor. We were celebrating and they brought us the cutest little meatball cupcake at the end of our meal. Such great service and food. Honestly the best dining experience we've had at Disney yet.

I was sad to hear that this restaurant will be closing next year. Every time we have come, the food has been good as well as the service. We started with the garlic bread, which I wasn't what I expected when ordering garlic bread, but it was good. I then had the rigatoni bolognese. The portion was huge and the flavors were excellent. Service was exceptional.

Atmosphere - Nice. Located in an area of Hollywood Studios that is away from the crowds, the restaurant has a nice old world eatery.Service - Very good. Our server was very pleasant and attentive.Food - Excellent. This is the best restaurant for Italian food in the parks. I had the chicken parm. The portion size was large and the chicken very tender. The sauce is very good as well. We had the garlic bread to start and it was very good as well.Overall Value - Excellent. This restaurant offers on of the best value among the Disney Parks.

I went a couple nights ago with a couple of friends. Unfortunately I heard this place is closing soon for renovations and renewing the whole restaurant. However we decided to die here as a goodbye. The food was good, I had a Pizza that it was excellent, and others had pasta that claimed was very good. I love that the ambience of this place is so unique and genuine (Italian /New York) it's very cozy and love the lights all around. Our server was super nice helpful Fast and helped us with a couple requests we had. A little prices since you're at Disney restaurant, however again food was worth it here! IMPORTANT: in case you don't already know, in order to dining here you need to have a valid ticket to enter the Hollywood studios for the day

I've eaten here 3 times now: Sept 2019, Jan 2023, and Nov 2024. Each time it was for the Fantasmic Dining Package, which currently includes a drink (can be a cocktail), main, and dessert. Then you get a pass for guaranteed prime seating at the early Fantasmic showing that evening. Each time I've ordered the NY strip steak, which has good flavor and came out as I ordered (medium). I liked the accompanying pasta better this most recent visit, which our server did let us know that they'd updated the menu recently. My cocktail was tasty. And I liked the lemon mascarpone dessert. It had some fun different flavors and textures, from cake to mousse to gels. Service has always been good and it seems to be a quieter restaurant than most in the Disney theme parks.
