Maki Hibachi

MAKI MAKI | hibachi at maki hibachi was a pleasant surprise. We arrived at the tail end of the lunch hour on a weekend afternoon (2:15pm), just in time for the lunch special, available from 11am-3pm daily. What a deal the lunch special is, although the regular menu is also fairly priced. I couldn't decide between sushi and sashimi so I got both - with the sushi-sashimi combo for $18 - which comes with 6 pieces of sashimi, 3 nigiri and a spicy tuna roll. I also eyed the hibachi from my sushi plate - will probably order that next time. The lunch pricing for the hibachi is also super reasonable. All lunch options come with either miso soup or salad. The raw fish was very fresh and good quality for the price. Definitely recommend for a quick and easy but not just a fast food lunch!

It has been quite some time since I have been back to Maki Hibachi. They are pricy for a family night out but this was a special occasion. I love the clean but warm feeling that the interior offers. The servers are always pleasant and often exceptional. The main reason I tell anyone to visit Maki is for the sexy lobster roll. It is to die for. I have yet to have anything on their menu that I don't like. Parking can be tough if you go, but if you're willing to walk you should be fine.

Type of restaurant. Could go to Publix deli and get the same things for much less, $10 bucks.

Small restaurant but good food. I went around 5:00 on Saturday and it was pretty busy but I didn't have to wait for a table. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive. I ordered 2 sushi rolls (can't remember what they were called) but it was super good. Decent size rolls that I could not finish. My only dislike is they don't bring out all of the food at once so my friend nearly finished her hibachi before my sushi came out. Overall I would highly recommend.

Great lunch experience! Food was fresh and delicious! The dinner service was also pleasant! The orange bowl roll is my favorite!! Can't wait to go back

Maki hibachi is one of those places that when me and my wife are visiting family I dream about going to when I want amazing hibachi. Everything from the staff to the food is exceptional and the prices are just as amazing as well! We usually opt for the food to go because it tends to get super busy!My go to order is the chicken dinner and it comes with fried rice, a massive amount of chicken, vegetables and a soup AND salad! The chicken is always seasoned wonderfully and cooked perfect. I love how tender it is and it has the right amount seasoning that I'm not grabbing for a drink because it's too salty or peppered. The rice is amazing as well but to me they use a little too much oil to cook it in but overall it's great! The veggies are mixed including zucchini and mushrooms and those are always tender to the touch and I usually inhale them because of how good they are! The salad is a great addition as is the soup, both having amazing flavors with the dressing and broth respectively.The staff is super friendly and always insanely fast when I've gone to pick the orders up and they always ask me how my day is going, which makes me feel welcomed everytime I go inside!The place has amazing lighting as well as a huge amount of seating. I never feel cramped when I am sitting at the Hibachi tables with other parties and Everyone is always so friendly during the Hibachi dinner shows! Service is super attentive as well and my drinks have never made it under half a glass because of how quick they are with refilling it!

I usually get delivery from Maki in downtown but recently got takeout from the Lake Nona location. I noticed they have a roll called hamachi lover (which isn't offered at the downtown location), and Im a fan of Yellowtail, so I had to try it. It was phenomenal. I loved the cilantro and spicy jalapeno in the roll. I haven't had a roll with cilantro before. It tasted so vibrant and refreshing. I really wish they would add this to the menu at their downtown location! Aside from that, the other items I got were delicious and fresh and had a beautiful presentation. I love Maki!

I love this place! This is one of the usual spots to order takeout when my husband and I are up in Orlando visiting family. My grandma actually introduced us to this place and it always hits the spot!The food is absolutely amazing! Their menu has plenty of different options for everybody. My typical order consists of the chicken hibachi meal; this includes a miso soup, salad with ginger dressing (phenomenal!), chicken, fried rice and cooked vegetables. I never have an issue with the chicken as it is never dry and perfectly seasoned- pair that off with the white sauce or as many know it as "Yum Yum" sauce and it is an impactful hit of flavor on your tastebuds! Already craving some now! The rice portion they give you is extremely generous and almost spills out of the takeout container. I appreciate how appetizing it is when paired with a bite of the vegetables. Absolutely delicious. With the amount of food provided, I can never finish despite how hungry I am when I order it! But the best part about that is you can have it again as leftovers and it's still just as great.Although, we love ordering this out for takeout we'll definitely make more of an effort to come and dine in time to time as the place is amazing inside and a great experience to dine in! This is a fantastic place if you want to experience wonderful food, low prices and have a overall fun time with friends and family!

The food was good but it wasn't your typical hibachi experience where the chef performs at your table. Also, I don't know if it was food poisoning but I was very sick for about 24 hours after eating here. We wanted to find a local hibachi place but I think we will just keep looking. Our server was very nice and accommodating.
