After a long day of scoping out new home communities nearby, I stumbled upon this local restaurant in Downtown Lake Mary for lunch. They are located across from the Central Park with other local shops and restaurants, which is great! It was a nice day so I decided to be seated outside. The waitress was nice and helped out in deciding what to choose for lunch as I had about 2 or 3 in mind. I got the Meatloaf Sandwich with fries. The sandwich has meatloaf (house made) with Havarti cheese, horseradish sauce, lettuce, tomato, red onion on a hoagie roll. Very delicious and the horseradish added a different twist. Careful as it will get ya, but it wasn't too bad. The fries came out fresh, fried and hot which was nice. I couldn't finish the sandwich so I had the other half for dinner. Overall, I definitely recommend this place and would like to revisit and try out the other menu items I had an eye on. Can't wait to visit this place again in the future. [Visited:12/18/21]

My family and I decided to stop by in order to get a last glimpse of the lights. We were a rather large group but they easily accommodated us by setting a couple of tables together outside. It was such a beautiful spot with the holiday lights. The menu had something for everyone. I decided to stick with the salmon but the pasta dishes were a hit with my family.

What a great place! Family owned. A lot of locals come here but it's worth the trip, especially during Christmastime. The downtown lake mary area is decorated with so many lights! Grab dinner here and then go for a stroll. Make a reservation though because tables are spaced out for covid precautions. The food here is always great. I love that they have a special in addition to their regular menu. This place is beer and wine, but they've added those premix Cutwater canned cocktails! We had the vodka one, and it was good.They have a lovely wine list with bottles that are reasonably priced. Ask if you're looking for something special. They sometimes have more than what's on the list. The wine I ordered, the red zinfandel, was reasonably sourced and organic etc etc so it was a really nice wine!I've had dinner here a couple times and the food never disappoints. Portion size is good, too.Support local! Check this place out.

4.5 stars for a great evening here in Lake Mary. Lonnie's has an awesome location near the Lake Mary Event Center in the downtown area. This place is definitely small but functional, especially with the seating areas outside.Looking for a nice place to converse over wine or alcohol? This place is the spot; they offer several wine selections you'll need to try. We came because of the Asian Fusion persuasion and we were looking for something different nearby. We were greeted promptly just beyond the entrance and there were about 5 booth tables but only 2 available. We sat in the very last booth next to the window. Our waiter was very cordial, on point, and described many things on the menu. He even made some great recommendations and they were all good! For starters we ordered the calamari and Thai seasoned muscles. The calamari was way over cooked but the Thai muscles were amazing! We loved how the muscles sat in saucy fusioned flavors of bruschetta and Thai seasoning. Of course most of the sauce sat at the bottom of the bowl but the thin slices of bread were surely made good use of!For our entrees we ordered the coconut Mahi Mahi and the blackened wasabi tuna salad! Both dishes were executed great and cooked to perfection. The Mahi Mahi was very tender, meaty, and came with sweet coconut on top. Almost reminded of a pina colada flavor. My tuna salad was cooked perfectly and the flavors were great. All the flavors that I love about a tuna sushi roll were in that salad! The sweetness from the eel sauce, the spiciness from wasabi, some soy sauce flavor with ginger, and avocado. If you're a sushi lover, you would love this salad!Okay, so we've been sleeping on this place. I will greatly return and order something else on the menu, just not the calamari.

First time my husband and I have ever eaten here was for Valentine's. They came highly recommended by the locals. I've been to many beer/wine dinners throughout the years and by far this was the best one. The food was amazing but the staff was what put this dinner over the top.

Our second visit here and WOW completely awesome meal. We ended up getting the crab cakes, tuna nachos, and snapper special. All three dishes were absolutely amazing. The flavor of each dish was so good. Our waitress, Lisa, was awesome too and gave solid recommendations. This is just such a great place with a very relaxed vibe and just generally nice people who work here.

Let me just say the wait staff here is amazing and that's why I'm giving this place a three star rating. The rest is a different story.When we arrived they only had outside seating available, which is what we preferred anyway due to it being such a nice night. Upon arriving to our high top our server did inform us a table opened up inside, but it was quite smokey so we declined. The high top tables were super uncomfortable. They remind me of a lawn set you would have in your back yard. I thought maybe it was just me, but I looked at the table next to us and the two ladies were sitting just like me. With an awkward bent over posture. I'll be needing a massage after this dinner.Our server was super sweet and attentive. Offering us samples of beer and wine before we made our selections.When my friend placed his order with a side of broccoli another server overheard and came over to inform our server that they ran out. He switched his side to green beans and we went on with the night.Unfortunately, our server had to deliver some more bad news. Two of us had ordered the ribeye, but there was only one left. I found that to be quite odd. It's Saturday night and your menu is limited already, how do you run out of a key menu item???!!! Anyway, my friend, being the gentleman he is changed his meal and let me have the ribeye.The salads were all good. Nothing over the top. (Your meal comes with either a house or Caesar salad and a side). My friend (who changed his order) got the champagne chicken. I tried some and it was pretty good. I really liked the basil, but I'm like a basil addict so I'm quite bias. My other friend got a shrimp dish and said he preferred the lunch item he got here before. Although his item wasn't bad, it just didn't hit the spot.My ribeye known for being tender, was quite tuff in spots, which was a huge let down seeing as this was the coveted "last piece". The sauce and the sides the came with it were enjoyable. My friends ordered the brownie dessert. I had a piece that was dry and they said it was burnt in the middle. Other than the servers nothing stood out so I won't be returning to Lonnie's.

This place is AMAZING. I have gone to Lonnie's frequently and it's always amazing. Their food is always made to order, fresh and delicious. They have a wide variety of items to choose from on the menu and everything is very flavorful and beautifully made. It's a great spot to eat lunch and dinner! I always get the mahi tacos and/or bruschetta - the bruschetta is definitely big enough to eat as whole meal. My grandma was born and raised in New England and is usually picky about clam chowder and this is the only place she absolutely raves about the clam chowder at!The staff is very accommodating & friendly and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome! The restaurant is clean and well kept.The only thing I'd suggest is adding some wheelchair friendly tables inside and/or outside since inside they have booths only on the inside and outside they have high tables only.

Excellent food and service. Located on 4ths street tucked away from the chain restaurants. There are only around 5 tables inside, so I recommend making a reservation. There are also tables available outside, I imagine these will also fill up when the weather is good.Service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and drinks were always full. The food was all delicious. We started with bruschetta and each had a different main. The crispy eggplant was amazing. My party also had the pork chop, shrimp, a beef dish and everyone was happy. We ended the meal with the key lime cheesecake cupcakes. They were amazing. More cheesecake than cupcake. Perfect desert.

They have been closed for quite a while. It was pretty good but the lockdown killed them.
