Linda's La Cantina

This was our second visit to Linda's and I absolutely understand what all of the fuss is about. Linda's is just a downright great meal without the pomp and circumstance. We went both times on a Friday night - getting there around 5:30-6pm. Each time we put our names in it was around an hour and a half wait. Not bad, especially when the drinks at the bar are delicious and plentiful. The dishes don't come out with bells, whistles, or a 10-piece band, but what they lack in style, they more than make up in sheer quality and deliciousness. The steaks slice smoothly and melt like butter in your mouth. They are seasoned perfectly with a delightful crisp to their crust. Get the baked potato. Get it loaded. Calories don't count on date night.French onion soup - This was everything I dreamed it would be. Rich. Warm. Inviting. I felt comfort from the inside out as I slurped up the meaty, cheesy delectable treat.I will note that it is COLD in this restaurant. Totally not a bad thing but if you're always freezing like me, I definitely recommend pants/long skirt and a cardigan. I highly recommend for a perfectly casual and delicious experience.

I don't even know where to start. Let's start with service. Exceptional. Katie does a wonderful job at making you want to try every recommendation and ensuring anything you need is refilled without you ever having thought you needed a refill of bread or water. The steak was phenomenal with such bold flavors, and extremely tender. When I visit Orlando again I will always make an effort to eat at Linda's!

This was a weird one and I will put it in the "you have to try for yourself" category. Here's my take:Ambiance: nice. More cozy than a sort of traditional steakhouse where you'd think giant leather booths and wood everywhere. Like, it's a departure from a Palm or Ruth Chris but fine. Very loud throughout but what do you expect?Service: just okay. I asked my sister how would she describe the server for our table and she said "bored, apathetic, hates us". That would have summed it up for me. Like she delivered the food but it wasn't service with a smile if you know what I mean. The gentleman that sat us was so sweet though. Food:here is the weird part. I do not understand the hype here. Almost everything that we ordered came from a box or a jar. The shrimp appetizer was frozen, the mozzarella sticks were frozen, the fish was frozen, the other shrimp was frozen. Like, these are things you can get from Costco yourself. The salad was a generic bag of lettuce blend dumped in a bowl with some dressing and a bland tomato. The pasta sauce was a ragu type taste. I legitimately don't get how people rave. The butter with the baked potato was like a butter spread/fake butter. Frozen broccoli and canned beans. It's a lot of cheap product Now my steak was good. But also, it was under seasoned and I could have made the same thing at home for less money. Like I guess I just didn't understand the appeal. You're going to have to go yourself and try it out. I don't have to go back personally but I don't mean it in a rude way.

What an amazing experience for any palette. I've visited this restaurant several times and it always delivers exceptional service, phenomenal food and heaping portions of high quality food. Whether it's a girls night, date night or a solo dinner and drink at the bar, Linda's offers it all.

I really enjoyed this place, I've only been there once because it's kind of hard to get reservations but if you do get a chance to go I'd recommend it. One of the best steaks I've had in the central Florida area very savory and tender and paired with the pasta couldn't go wrong. My last had the blackened snapper and she really enjoyed it as well. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

A hidden gem! I've driven past this place countless times, and had no idea it had one of the best steaks in Orlando. This cozy, family-oriented restaurant has a warm and familiar vibe, the kind of place where families have been going for decades. The steaks are amazing and come with the perfect layer of crust on the top and are also wrapped in bacon. You can't beat the price. A 12oz steak for $50 at a quality steakhouse is a steal. The reservation system is different, so I'd highly recommend booking as far in advance as possible. You have to text their number with your info, desired date and time, and they'll respond back confirming the reservation. I will note it took them a day to respond, so don't expect an immediate answer. The staff, from the hostesses to our server, were great. This spot is definitely making its way into our regular rotation of favorites!

Everything was so good! There's a wait. I can't remember if they take reservations or not, but if they do, definitely make one. Hubs and I had dinner there on a Friday night, no reservations, was told that there would be about an hour wait. We were fine with it. It was actually like 45 mins. Regardless if it was an hour or 45 mins we were happy to wait. There were quite a few parties waiting to be seated as well. We drive by this place often, really glad we got a chance to check it out. We can see why there's the hype. The food is good-ish. The service is good. However, I'm only giving it 4-stars because we had to wait awhile for our food. Kept asking our waiter if they can check on the food. Was always told, "i'll go check on it, it'll be out shortly." Well... finally our appetizers came out. Yum! Then comes the wait, finally, the manicotti comes out and steak and broccoli comes out. The only that was piping hot was the manicotti. The steak might've been sitting at the pass too long because the broccolli and steak were room temp. Didn't enjoy that too much. Parking can be tight during primetime hours. Service was good for the most part. Food was good for the most part too. Will come back. Eventually.

What a great find! The T Bone steak was hands down the best steak I have ever had in a restaurant! Delicious food and great service. Rebecca was our server. She didn't miss a beat! She even gave us the history of Linda's. If you are in the Orlando area, call ahead and make a reservation. You will not be disappointed!!

I grew up in central Florida and of course, I heard about Linda's only after I moved 1000+ miles away. I kept hearing really good things about Linda's so I was very excited to learn I'd be going during a last-minute trip to Orlando. We went on a Wednesday evening, and the place was pretty busy. We arrived early for our reservation but were seated right away. Our waiter was Geronimo and he was fantastic. We were immediately greeted with water, and shortly after, we placed an order for the coconut shrimp and the onion rings as starters- they came out quickly and were amazing. The shrimp was perfectly crispy and served with a tasty spicy plum sauce. The onion rings were cooked perfectly, and probably the best I've ever had. The house salad was simple, but it too was delicious. I ordered the small filet topped with blue cheese and a side of spaghetti marinara for my entree. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the pasta was incredible-cooked al dente with a sauce that tasted homemade. The menu is pretty straightforward, simple and classic fare, but everything was done absolutely perfectly. Once again, Geronimo was the best. He was personable, friendly, and on top of everything, not just with our table but every table he interacted with. He truly went above and beyond to make our experience amazing.

The steak here is amazing! Probably one of the best cooked and seasoned steaks I have ever had at a restaurant. The service was good for us being in a larger group. The portions are huge for the prices being so reasonable in comparison to most places.
