Lighthouse Seafood & Café

This may be my favorite seafood restaurant in Florida. The floor team is thoughtful, and the seafood is fresh.You can stop in for lunch or dinner in the restaurant. The menu has plenty of options to choose from depending on what you're in the mood to eat.On my last visit, i enjoyed the salmon burger with steak fries & coleslaw. My husband loves their crabcakes.If you want to stock up to cook at home, you can just pickup various fresh whole fish, filets, shellfish, shrimp, etc. to go. Highly recommend!

Too dang expensive. Junk fees. Nope.Lunch for 4: $143.96 before a tip was added.Add $30 tip = our bill was $173.96. Lunch for 4.A small cup of shrimp creole and 2 small cups of clam chowder: $7.95 eachTwo fish tacos + a hush puppy: $12.95A 6 oz piece of seared tuna + cole slaw: $19.95Blackened grouper sandwich + a hush puppy: $26.95A small 10oz whole fried fish: $21.89 + a cook fee(?): $10.88 + seasonal veggies: $3.75Add a junk charge called Fees: $5.22We've enjoyed Lighthouse for years as our favorite fresh seafood stop. But eating in the restaurant is just absurd - way, way too expensive. On top of charging very high prices, these ridiculous junk fees really pushed us away. The owner must think Lake Mary people are stupid. Only stupid if we were to go back for another ultra-expensive lunch. Not us. Buh-bye.

P.S. We returned two nights later on the occasion of my Dad's 80th Birthday. Again Kelly and the team at Lighthouse Seafood & Cafe brought their "A Game." The food was superb and the service was phenomenal. On behalf of my Dad and our entire party of 8, thank you to everyone who contributed to a special evening we will never forget!

Heyyyyyy you guyysssssss!! I'm so stokedto tell you about this place, it's amazing! You can purchase seafood to go and/or sit and dine in. The best fish and chips in town, low key atmosphere, super kind and friendly staff, delicious eats! The special was sheepshead made to your liking-fried, beer batter fried or blackened. Came with 2 sides and it was hands down deliciousness!!! If you have not tried it and you want a great seafood low key place that has authentic food this is it! Let's eat!

Lighthouse is my favorite seafood spot in Central Florida! It's just great food at a fair price. The should be a Triple D stop! We have eaten here many times and it's always on point. Service is solid and the fish market allows you to take fresh seafood home. Great seafood! Old school Florida look inside with the fish market on ones side and the kitchen on the other. Give it a try, you will love it!

I had such a wonderful experience my first visit. The second visit today was terrible. We ordered our food and did not receive anymore service. I had to get up and get my our plates to share an appetizer. I had to get up and get our silverware. Our waitress never returned to our table after delivering the food. I attempted to order a fish sandwich but they were out of snapper. When I wanted to substitute another fish in house, I was going to be charged for fish, bun, lettuce, tomato, onion and side dishes. They were not able to give me a price. Sad to say, I won't return. And I felt terrible that my guest had a bad first experience.

We were visiting family and ate there. We were blown away. The food was so fresh and perfectly cooked. They had a fresh market in the restaurant. We had to wait about 30 minutes but that was to be expected. Daughter and I shared a platter because I wanted to see if I liked scallops any better. I don't. The crab dip was great and I will be getting that again even if I have to do takeout. I am deleting one star for the hush puppies. Hush puppies are importance to me and theirs didn't have any spices. Everything else was great.

Great friendly service and amazing seafood.Steamed mussels were tangy, garlicky and delicious. Lobster roll was meaty and light. Mahi was fresh and flaky. Great mid day meal. Would do again.

This place is top notch. Good prices and the food is very fresh and good. Every time we've gone it's crowded. Service is friendly as well. If we want a good, fresh, affordable dinner out, we go here.

Yet another curve ball thrown by Yelp. Drove 1/2 here on Sunday to find "no restaurant on Sundays!"I will NEVER trust Yelp again without phoning ahead.
