Light On The Sugar Bakery Cafe

New bakery/coffee shop in Waterford Lakes Town Center. From the outside I thought it was a cupcake shop, but when I walked in I saw it was much more. The inside is not large, but big enough to accommodate a few tables along the wall. There are many different coffee, tea and lemonade drinks to choose from. The star of the show here are all the sweets! I ordered the lavender lemonade and ube cheesecake. The lemonade was the right amount of sweet and tart with little lavender sprigs. Ube cheesecake was creamy and sweet. This location is perfect and I hope they do well, there are so many different types of lattes and teas to be had. Every item in the sweets case looked incredible and was presented very well. Do not sleep on this sweet treat of a place!

We were so happy to see Light on the Sugar near home. We love their pastries. If you haven't tried that strawberry cream puff, you must!This is located on the side of Waterford Lakes where Zazas is, across from the Reagal Theatre. It's a small, cute shop that sits between Charley's and the coming soon Zen Dumplings. It's cute and small but very aesthetically pleasing. There a a couple of tables to sit and leisurely enjoy your pastries and drinks. There was a line but it moved quickly. Today we had the créme brulée cream Puff and it is divine. The cream is light, not too sweet, hence the name. The puff is fluffy, soft and yummy. The fruit is fresh. Just soo good.v

I've been looking forward to checking out Light On The Sugar at Waterford Lakes since I first caught wind they'd be opening this site months ago. I regret not taking pics this trip, but I'll definitely be back! We arrived 20 minutes to close, so hopefully that's the reason for the poor service I received. Plus, this is a brand new location. These things take time!That late at night (8:40 pm), there wasn't much selection left which is understandable. But what we did order (ube crepe cheesecake and ube cheesecake plus a creme puff) was FRICKEN AMAZING!!! Omg the flavor was absolutely heavenly! Soooo light on the sugar (thus the name ) which allows the true flavors of each treat to really shine. There are also several drink options and coffees to try. I really want to do that next time as well as grab a lavender lemonade. I was going to do that this time but forgot. I forgot because I ordered a pizza croissant, thought it would be served warm, received a cold as hell pizza croissant, and was told they don't do that when asked if they could warm it up. Weird. Most other places, pretty much all other bakery/coffee places, do that. So I asked to return it. Which they clearly didn't like. Which is also the reason for my 3 stars. I WILL return! Hopefully next time for better service, continued amazing treats, and a tasty drink! Oh! And pictures!

Wow. I've been waiting to go here and just haven't had a chance until today. We stopped in and ordered the pistachio layer cake (might not be correct name) and the crème brûlée cream puff to go. Both were delicious. The pistachio layer cake might not be for everyone's taste - but it was delicious and the crème brûlée cream puff was literally one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. I devoured it. I wanted more. Service was quick and the interior is a cute spot to grab a treat and a coffee and sit to enjoy it.

Delicious and beautiful pastries. We got a selection of sweet and savory. The tomato pesto croissant was really nice. They have a terrific list of beverages, from juices to fancy coffees. I had an excellent Dalgona latte. The service was friendly and fast.

This place is a far haul from home but my dr office is right around the corner. This means every couple months I have a great excuse to come in and yum it up. It's always so hard to choose what to get everything in the case is so beautiful and looks delicious. You can tell that they take great care in the presentation of their product. This time I opted on four different cream puffs I got the crème brûlée, the Ube, cheesecake, The chocolate hazelnut, and the strawberry. They were all light as Air and of course, as a name suggest not too sweet. The filling on each was dreamy. Of course I'll be back.

I was surprised to find an absence in of coffee shops in this plaza others than Starbucks. So I was happy to find Light on the Sugar and stopped in for a latte. I was concerned the cookies n cream latte would be too sweet but the staff member assured it wasn't overly sweet and was pretty popular so I gave it a try. This latte is delicious! I would absolutely recommend. The cup/presentation was also super cute.

I had no idea they had a location in Waterford Lakes! The shop is cozy and cute with both indoor and outdoor seating. The drinks menu is much larger than I expected. My bestie and I stopped in here for dessert after lunch at The Hungry Crab. I ordered the eggnog latte and the hot chocolate cream puff. Both were festive and delicious. The cream in the puff did indeed taste just like a chilled hot chocolate, and the pastry itself was fluffy, crispy on the outside, moist on the inside and so very pretty to look at. My friend and I are so excited to add this to the rotation of places close to home to visit.

I absolutely love Light On The Sugar at their other locations already so I was really excited to have a location open up at Waterford Lakes. I've tried about everything on their menu and when we came during the late evening today they still had a lot of different pastries to choose from, today I ordered the Ube cheesecake and Ferrero Rocher cream puff, both very delicious! Perfect level of sweetness and great flavors! I'll definitely be coming back for more sweet treats!

Wow such a beautiful display. The options were insane. I could not make a decision, but I finally picked a pistachio cake. I definitely want to come back and try other options. I'm eyeing their pistachio coffee, mango tart, and pistachio dark chocolate tart. I have tried the banana pudding at another location and it was SO incredible. My boyfriend ordered some crème brûlée for his family and they loved it. Everyone working was so helpful and made the experience pleasant!
