4 stars for one of the most Disney'ish parts of Food & Wine Festival. When it comes to the Food & Wine Festival, generally what everyone likes is getting to try different types of food and drink from all over the world (for relatively good prices). However, most of Food & Wine's setup are just booths distributed throughout Epcot. Fortunately, if you are looking for something with a little more Disney Magic, the Light Lab is a good place to check out.We checked out the Light Lab based on a recommendation from one of my wife's co-workers. You walk inside and see some a bar with fun beer flights (a Space Flight and a Light Flight with beers that rival the Craft Beer Exhibit) on your left and a line that looks like it leads to a ride on your right. After going through the line and getting pre-ID'ed, you head inside to a glow-in-the-dark/black light lab area! While this doesn't allow for great photos, the look is very cool and futuristic looking.Once we got inside, we jumped in line to grab some food and drink. We decided to get the Bleu Spectrum drink, which is essentially multi-colored champagne with bobba at the bottom (what a great idea!), and a Glownut, which is a huge doughnut that glows in the blacklight. The Glownut also only cost $3 and was huge and rather tasty! After placing our order, we went over to a little lab area, grabbed our food and drink from workers in lab coats, and then ate and drink in the center area. While the place could have really used tables, the fun science signs surrounding the room and the look in general made this a really fun change-of-pace from the rest of Food & Wine.Overall, the Light Lab at the Food & Wine Festival is a fun and interesting exhibit with a fun look and tasty treats. While there are other better parts of Food & Wine (looking at you Irish Chocolate Cake Pudding), it is definitely worth a quick detour over to check this place out.

This was unexpectedly probably my favorite part of Food and Wine last year! I hope they bring it back!It was inside with some much needed air conditioning! And I liked the black light room and all the cool stuff on the walls. It was just fun!I got the Bleu Spectrum, which was really worth the price just to take a picture of it! The Boba balls were also neat.Definitely worth a stop at Food and Wine!

Five stars for ambiance, creativity, and overall aesthetic. Three stars for wait times, lack of tables. I would say to give this a go if you're at food and wine, but I think now that we've done it once we wouldn't spend the time to do it again. The glow-nut was good. Really sugary, but tasty. The cotton candy and tonic water was super sugary. If you need a sugar high to keep your day going, this is the jam. It's a limited capacity room, so you may have to wait in line outside for people to exit before entering. There are lines inside also for both food and drinks. They make the drinks to order, which is fun to watch. Overall: ASolid place to check out if you're at food and wine!

Light Lab is a new addition for 2017 to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. It's located in Future World West near where the character photo spot is. In previous years I remember picking up an annual passholder gift from this very room. Because it's lit by blacklight the majority of the photos from inside of here look pretty terrible with a washed out blue hue. It actually does look cool from the inside. There are lots of neon colors everywhere. Because I don't drink alcohol I'm probably the worst person in the world to review Light Lab. Out of all of the drinks available I can only have two of them. I was actually quite excited to try the T=C^2 drink (tonic water and cotton candy). I was under the impression that you would get to see the mad scientists behind the counter put the cotton candy into the drink but when I walked up they just handed me a glass of red liquid, which was rather anti-climactic. I don't mean to be dramatic but this was quite possibly the worst drink I've ever had. It tasted exactly like cough syrup, and I mean exactly. I had to force myself to take a second sip and that almost activated my gag reflex. I do want to come back and see what a glownut looks like but other than that I'm done with Light Lab.
