Back again!!! So of course I had to update my review! Even in the face of tragedy the owner of Le Taco Trap is still finding ways to make her customers happy. The building had a fire back in 2022 and she has been working to rebuild, and to do so she's been having PopUp events! I went to one today and the quality of the food is still so amazing. I had the shrimp and lump crab quesadilla and it was filled to the max! I will continue to support this small business and will update you all along the way. Please follow them on Facebook to find out where the next event will be!

For starters, I visited the location that is now in Kissimmee! This is a temporary spot for now, no place to sit and eat. Pick up only.I order 3 chicken birria tacos, and a elote. The shredded chicken was very tasty and I felt it had a good amount of cheese too. I loved that they came with a side of pico and a cilantro sauce! Both were yummy. The food was a little salty but I still very much enjoyed the quality of it all. Elote was good too, I just felt it needed a bit more chili powder. Would definitely come back!

I love food so much so that other people know my love of food and often rave about the most recent bite to eat they've had....this was no different. Someone recommended these tacos to me and honestly they are the best birria tacos I've had in a while. It wasn't greasy like some birria tacos tend to be, the steak was seasoned well and there were three dipping sauces - salsa, some kind of garlic/green sauce and consommé (dipping oil).I typically say don't take my word for it but this time, just do it. The tacos were so good and personally I will be a repeat customer because good food is meant to be enjoyed, you know?

Orlando is saturated with places to get good birria and therefore the competition is stiff. Le Taco Trap runs a good social media game. They have an Instagram and TikTok filled with the type of videos that make you want their food. That's how I discovered them; while scrolling through Instagram. I ordered the Beef Birria Tacos, they come as a set of three with cilantro sauce, salsa, consomme, and limes. The meat tasted more like pot roast than authentic birria, all bay leaf, and no chipotle or adobo. If there is any other seasoning you just can't taste it over the punch in your face overwhelming bay leaf flavor. I love bay leaf, but whoa. The cilantro sauce is the real star here, it's delicious and I enjoyed it over the consomme. Also, the salsa tastes jarred, just as others have mentioned and the limes were a little too dry to get any juice out. I would eat Le Taco Trap again, but I would not go out of my way to get it. There just simply are better birria places in town.

Le Taco Trap is a small nailing where you order at a window and if you will be eating there, you can sit at one of a few tables. This is a small place in an out of the way place where parking is extremely limited, as is the seating. The staff here is extremely friendly and they cook the food to order. I will say that the prices are a bit high. In fact, while it won't "break the bank," it is overpriced for what it is, especially when it is served in such a humble environment. I chose the birria quesadilla, which had a price tag of fifteen dollars. It was good and it was a good sized portion. However, it was fifteen dollars for this. It also came with a cilantro dip and a salsa. The cilantro dip was good, though the salsa I would suspect came from a jar of dollar store salsa. My daughter had the small loaded french fries, which she opted to be topped with chicken. She enjoyed it, but again, it was ten dollars for this. We also both had a birria egg roll. These were good, but again, each one was $2.50 and were consumed in a few bites. The food was good, but not earth shattering. And certainly a bit high in price. It was slow when we were there, which was noon on a Thursday and they only had one other customer. I understand they have bills and maybe they need to charge these prices to make the rent, but I would guess that the prices could be keeping customers away.I wish this business and the friendly people success here.

Well well well! The only person in my life that cooks with love is my mom and NOW it's the folks that operate Le Taco Trap! You can taste the love and meticulous preparation of this food. I just had the Birria Combo which is a STEAL for only $20. I also go to taste a bit of the pulled pork with Spanish rice and let me tell you! I'll be back. I can't wait for my gf to come visit because now she can taste a REAL birria taco! I adore the fact that the food is made fresh to order and it's definitely worth the small wait. See you guys soon!

John M has some great comments. I agree with most of them as well. I ordered the birria quesadilla. It was very cheesy and tasty. The price was a little high for what I received at $15+. Seems like a 10" tortilla, it was filled with shredded beef, cheese, cilantro and onion. It was served with consume, garlic sauce and a salsa. As John M mentioned, I also believe this was store bought salsa. Tasted like old El Paso chunky. I was a bit taken back on that. I would have preferred a home made salsa... Then menu is quite small and very very basic. Smart by the owner to keep cost down but a bit more variety would be nice.Pro's:Staff member taken my order was super friendly and nice Food was tasty Food came out pretty fast and hot It appears they sub lease the parking lot to a hand wash car wash. I thought that was creative. Con's:Small menu A bit over priced - I think $10 would be more appropriate for their quesadilla. It was literally 3 prices total 3 tacos I believe were $15 (again pricey) No napkins were given with order or utensils (I ate there on the bench and had to ask for napkins) Limited parking Side note:Owner (?) was on the phone talking to what appeared to be a vendor. She was very rude to the person on the phone, cursing, tell them she was a VIP and she was not paying for s&@# ... no need to go further but I felt it was very unprofessional to have this type of conversation in front of your paying guest. She could have easily had this conversation inside since guest are not allowed in... Next to me was a mother and young teenage daughter eating as well. I kept thinking to myself, if that was my child would I say something to this owner?!?! I mean, this restaurant isn't in the most luxurious location, it's in the streets, so should we just expect that type of stereotypical behavior or change it? Idk, I'm from a struggling neighborhood so I get both sides, but as a business owner I would think professionalism and customer awareness is important. I guess the important question would be, would I return? A simple answer, no. Reason, over priced and limited menu. If I was in the area and was starving, yes. Lol. But I would likely look for something else first. For this visit I purposely drove out of my way because I've been wanting to visit this location but now that I've been there I wouldn't do it again. It didn't have that wow factor I was anticipating. Good luck to the owners and staff. I hope they continue to grow and make food with "love" as they say .

Man, this hurts, because I love Le Taco Trap. We have bought a lot of food from this place, especially last summer, to the point that we needed to take a break, but the food was always amazing. The food I just purchased is inedible. The portion seems smaller than they were this summer, which is understandable due to the rising cost of basic things. But the quesadilla had almost no cheese, and it had no onions or cilantro. And to top it off, it was incredibly salty. Their cilantro crema... Something I have bought from them separately because it was that good, was also incredibly salty. There was also no consomme.I think had the owner been there, she would have made the food the way we have all come to expect. Will I give Le Taco Trap another chance? Probably, but it won't be anytime soon.

Best Birria we have had! We also ordered a steak quesadilla which comes with cilantro garlic sauce that I could put on everything!!! The Chicken, steak, and birtia were all flavorful and delicious! My husband is hard to please and he said wow this is the best birria I have had! Must try if you have a chance! Get extra cilantro garlic sauce, that was my only regret! Until next time!
