Lacomka is tucked away in a shopping plaza on Semoran Blvd. When you first walk in, it's like any small grocery store with bakery displays. In the back area is a cute Russian cafe. It's a small space but really cute with colorful wall backdrop and decor.I kind of felt like a character in a fun action movie--in the best possible way! They definitely had regulars and the mom and pop run eatery was exactly as I imagined. The servers were reserved and no nonsense. The menu was simple. The food was unexpectedly good. I'd never had Russian food before and enjoyed the choices I made. Each dish was flavorful even though the presentation gave off home cooking vibes. This is a good thing! We had a tasty soup called Kharcho which was like a lamb stew. We also ordered the Rice Pilaf with Beef. It was good but under seasoned. The Chicken Paprikash was savory and I enjoyed the cabbage side item. The complimentary bread was dense and interesting. The presentation may be lacking but the food is something that would draw me back to try other dishes. The owners are very nice and friendly. There's plenty of parking and is a hidden gem for those wanting to explore cuisine that isn't typically mainstream.

Khinkali, Wow!!! Like Georgian soup dumpling. You eat it with you hand, pick it up turn it upside down, take a bite, don't let the juice soup run out.

Great selection of authentic goods. The customer service was excellent. I enjoyed the cheese pastry. It was light , fluffy & savory. They have a great little sitting area if you want to have your food there in a relaxed setting. Plenty of parking. Support local businesses and try this place.

Lovely little grocer, restaurant and bakery. Excellent selection of Russian and Eastern European foods. We tried their tiramisu cake from the case and the spring salad (priced per lb.). The cake was deliciously light and moist with the perfect amount of cream. I look forward to adding some more experiences to my review when I come back to visit next time!

This store has everything! A cafe, a grocery, and wine for sale. We bought pomegranate wine, mushrooms (frozen), chocolates, spices, wonderful fresh Russian bread, various and sundry other items, and ate at the cafe (borscht both red and green (sorrel)) with lamb dumplings. All of the grocery items were of good quality. The food was wonderful. Don't miss out on this place!

Lacomka is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The majority of the space is for a Russian/Ukraine/Georgian grocery store. There are tons of items I remember from my childhood (my grandparents were Russian and Polish immigrants) like Farmer Cheese and herring and halvah. I used Google Translate to figure out what everything was. In the back is a little cafe area. We didn't know if we ordered at the counter and then sat down but no, you sit down and the cafe area is full service (15% gratuity is automatically added). We ordered a selection of items. I got the red borscht which comes with beef and potatoes and is served hot. I ended up really liking it but it was different than the cold red borscht that my grandmother used to make. I also tried the Compot(e), which is a cold fruit juice which is sweetened. It was very good and went well with the food. My entree was the chicken paprikash which was delicious although a little spicy for me. My dining companions had less luck with their selections. They ordered the Pirozhki, which is fried dough around potatoes and cabbage. They liked the cabbage one but thought the potatoes one was a little bland. The Cheese Pancakes were good, especially with the sweet red glaze. Finally, they got the Khinkali, which is Georgian dumplings. These were like Hong Kong Soup Dumplings where the meats and juices were inside and you had to be careful eating them. My dining companions just didn't like these. They said there was too much pepper on top and the inside meat was not as tender as they thought it would be. However, we had wanted to try a bunch of items and we did. The bread served with the meal was also very good. We sat around for a while after the meal and then weren't sure how to get the check. We ended up just going to the counter and paying, which was fine. It was very interesting to try new to us foods.

A worthy diversion from the theme parks. The unassuming store has a surprising variety of special treats. The food we tried was fresh made and delicious. The polyglot owner was super friendly and my son enjoyed practicing Russian. I appreciated learning a bit about Armenian and Georgian wine.If we ever come back to the area we will certainly revisit.

I don't speak Russian but I like to speak good food- and here at Lacomka you won't be lost in translation as you can let your taste buds do the talking!Craving some stuffed cabbage rolls? How about some Eastern European stuffed dumplings? Maybe fresh rye bread is your go to? Well, look no further as Lacomka's got it all!As you enter the store you might be wondering if this is indeed meant to be a restaurant and not just a grocery store, but keeping on heading towards the back and you will find the quaint seating area and be quickly greeted by the staff or even the owner himself as was our case. He was very friendly and genuinely wanted us to have a good experience there. We started off with the pirozhki savory dough pastry, which was good, but not as as fresh as I expected. The Olivie Salad with the side of rye bread quickly elevated the game though! As much as I liked the salad, the rye bread was very flavorful and stole the show for me! We also had the beef cabbage rolls and lamb khinkali dumplings which were both delightful. To cap off the meal, we tried some Napolean cake which was fantastic, though very rich. Luckily, I had purchased some sparkling No.4 water from their fridges which is apparently known to be good for digestion, so I guess I lucked out there :)I highly recommend exploring the grocery store itself too as they have plenty of neat foods and treats. While I may not be picking up the Russian language soon, I'll be back here for a visit another time soon!

One of the most memorable meals of my life. The literal love you can taste in this food is impossible to put into words. We had pirozkhi (one of each flavor), red borscht, chicken paprikash, golubtsi, and washed it all down with their homemade compote. Each component was better than the last. I think one could close their eyes and point to something on the menu and be satisfied with their choice. I will say, if I had to recommend just one thing, it would be the red borscht. Absolutely life-changing. Wonderful service, and a great store-front. I look forward to many more meals here.
