La Takeria Tacos

I had seen this restaurant in Google maps a couple of times but I always missed it when I went by, so I decided to give it a try.The restaurant is next to a convenience store and it is pretty large with plenty of seating. They do to go orders as well. I ordered the grilled chicken and a chicharron taco. Everything was super tasty, made to order and very authentic. I got chips and salsa as I sat as well. I will definitely keep them as a go to, when I am around the area.

I am on a quest to do two things1. Support small businesses.2. Find the most authentic tacos in Seminole County.La Takeria is a very small establishment off of 17/93 and Laura street. Let's be honest. Most of use have driven past and never realized it's a restaurant.The restaurant is clean. The lady working the counter was friendly. Her young daughter was helping her with various task. She was so kind to her daughter when she spoke to her. I knew that my goal of supporting a small business was spot on for the day.I ordered the two taco lunch special. I had the brisket and the Al Pastore tacos. Homemade small corn tortillas, fresh cilantro, onions, garnished with a fresh lime, and some pretty spicy salsas. The rice and beans were very flavorful, and I really appreciated the fact that the beans were still whole versus a purée.Absolutely some very tasty food today for lunch. For $10 you get everything that I have shown in the pictures including the drink. Go support this family and have yourself some tasty tacos .

Ive only done take out but have ordered many times. The service is always great and the food is always delicious and fresh. The melon drinks are SO refreshing and delicious as well. I'm always a go to fan of the pizza birria and the molcajete.

Ordered them for takeout and it was pretty good. I had a quesadilla, tacos and their burrito. We tried the birria and the flavor was really good. But, they need to work on their packaging. Unfortunately everything just simmered in the box and got pretty soggy. And the Birria was a tad tough. The quesadilla was definitely the best of the three, then the burrito, then tacos. Their tacos were super dry too, but it could've been from sitting in the box for the ride home. That said, we'll definitely try them again. Prices were reasonable and they seasoned their food well. We'll just eat in next time.

Pretty good for Mexican food in Florida! Always love supporting family businesses and the service was great here. The daughter was our cashier and she was very knowledgeable on the menu and answering all of our questions. The menu definitely needs an update. It's a little confusing and doesn't have everything on it. They are trying their best though and the food was good. We took our food to go but the tables inside looked clean. A more rundown building for sure. Will come back when we're on that side of town!MUST TRY: Chamoyada. Burrito (ITS HUGE). Birria taco.

I decided to give this lil taco spot a try today since I needed something within less than a 5 mile radius and didn't want to spend to much on tacos. The spot feels tucked away since you can't really see it from the main road just a birria/taco flag on the street where you have to turn into. I at first confused it with the scary looking convenient store on the main road that I was not about to go in lol. Anyway this lil taco joint was ok. I paid 11 something for 3 tacos, 1 chix birria and 2 shrimp tacos. The shrimp taco had no cheese or lettuce just cilantro and onions. I would vouch it would be nice to have it added. So to me doesn't scream as healthy since it lacked others healthy ingredients/oils. Yes, I would pay whatever cents more. Their green and red hot sauce gave a great touch though. The shrimp was tasty and chix birria was ok. From a stand point of healthy I think it can use a bit more work so it's not something I would continue to gravitate to.

Food is amazing, authentic mexican street tacos, they also have aguas frescas and variety of mexican goodies, excellent service, a family ambiance. The cucumbers with salt & lemon!!! Love it!

Delicious. Service was great and the food was super fresh! They also have food trucks that you can hit up!

Food was incorrect and instead of remaking food, they just scrapped ingredients off and gave the food back to us. Shrimp tacos...the shrimp was tiny and very hard.

I ordered from the food truck. Food was great! Staff was friendly. The Birria tacos were juicy and very good. Would eat here again.
