Please, for the love of humanity and all that is good, stop selling Lomo Saltado. Pick a cuisine, Italian or Peruvian. I ordered a Lomo Saltado for pickup via Uber Eats. The price was $27 a plate, but thankfully, they had a buy one get one free special.I can honestly say that this was the worst Lomo Saltado I've ever had. The portion was laughable, especially for the price. The food literally had no flavor. I had to add seasonings to make it somewhat eatable. My family and I ended up just eating half a plate as it was just not good. If you end up ordering takeout from this restaurant, learn from my experience and don't order the Lomo Saltado.

I've been waiting to try this place for months after seeing all the great reviews and reading the story on their website. We went up to the door. Some customer eating on the other side locked it as we were walking up. We realized there was a second door. WHAT!?Walked in. The SMELL was HORRENDOUS! Walked out! I don't know if it was a really nasty cleaner or a sewer issue. We couldn't deal with it. I was hesitant to post, but then noticed all of the inspection violations! Soooo..."could've been better" is accurate! Done with restaurants that use super-strong chemicals or don't know that their restaurant smells disgusting. A restaurant should smell like good food, if anything!

I visited this Peruvian restaurant during a visit to Orlando and had a great time. The owners were super sweet and shared a bit about their background with the table. We tried several different dishes, but the ceviche was my fav. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and I enjoyed the spices. The place has a cozy, family kitchen type vibe and I'd stop by again when back in town

Although the name sounds very Italian, the menu (which is extensive) is divided evenly between Italian and Peruvian foods. (They also serve American breakfast.)I wasn't sure the Peruvian food would measure up to other places in town, with all that Italian food competing for attention, but it was top-notch. We started with the fish ceviche, a generous portion of fresh fish with all the classical accompaniments. Next was a terrific shrimp causa, obviously assembled fresh to order. And we finished with the chicken chaufa. I suppose you could count this as a fourth cuisine, since it's essentially Chinese fried rice! Special shout-out to the house-made herbal crisps served with oil and balsamic at the start of the meal. They were great. The food and service were both great, and the space is quite pleasant. Maybe we'll go back tomorrow for Italian!

This place intrigues me. Half Italian, half Peruvian, what could be better? I came in on a lazy Sunday, the restaurant was completely empty, so I walked towards the bar. It took them a minute to figure out I wanted to sit down to eat and I was not a food pickup service. They cleaned up the bar, someone may have been doing homework there, I don't know. There were lots of young people here, so I got the impression that this was a family restaurant. I placed my order and awkwardly got my cold appetizer with my oven hot entree. What's the point of ordering an appetizer if they will bring it with your meal? The food was good. I picked up good flavors. I had a causa de pollo, very well made and fresh. I also had a lasagna that looked like a baked tray of mac n cheese, not typical but not bad. I was also given a thin focaccia with a delicious balsamic, I have to say I enjoyed the balsamic. To end, I got a delicious chocolate cake "Peruvian style", it had dulce de leche. So, the food is good, the flavors are not uniform but I enjoyed the overstimulation. It definitely would take me another visit to really understand what's going on. And that's good, I guess, because I will be a repeat customer. Finally, even though this is a big space and it looks like a fancy restaurant, I experienced a family owned restaurant with sub par service. It is what it is, families don't train the kids to offer good customer service or maximize sales. Keep that in mind with coming here, depending on who is doing the service. Take it or leave it kinda place. And like I said, I'll be back.

This is truly the best Peruvian restaurant I've been to in central FL.La Piccolina is a fusion of Italian/Peruvian dishes.Since the first day I visited, I told myself I would try something different every single time. Here I am, still trying new dishes every time I go!The service is exceptional! Everyone is friendly and the place itself makes you feel at home. When you walk in, it feels like you're visiting your aunts restaurant as it's very "homey". You will not regret trying this restaurant. It's definitely worth the drive!

An extraordinary welcome and service does not come without an outstanding menu. The Picolina offers all the best meals you could only find in Peru, until now that you can also find it in La Picolina of Orlando. The menu invludes many of the peruvian national plates like ceviche, causa, anticuchos, lomo saltado, arroz chaufa, arroz con mariscos, grilled octopus and many italian platea with a touch of peruvian flavors. ,It has a very friendly ambiance, just like the family restaurants from Peru, and Italy.

10 out of 10! FAMILY OWNED! Delicious home cooked authentic Peruvian and Italian food. One of the most wonderful meals we've ever had. We came for the Italian, but ended up going with Tanya's recommendations. We started with Grilled Octopus, that was total perfection. It came on a sizzling platter, with crispy skin potatoes and peppers, and fresh chimichurri to dip in. Then we had two Peruvian Risotto dishes, that were both unique, flavorful, fresh and to die for. Mine had porcini mushrooms, and a rich creamy Parmesan sauce, with a pile of yummy big shrimp. My Husband had a Yellow Pepper Risotto that was creamy and full of bold flavors. It was topped with perfectly cooked sirloin steak, and shrimp, with a gravy made of the steak drippings. Everything left us enjoying every single bite. What a treasure of a restaurant!

Amazing experience!!! 10/10Italian Peruvian fusion restaurant, family owned and operated, food was delicious! for appetizers we had the grilled octopus, shrimp ceviche, flat bread bruschetta, papas a la huancaina; for our main meals we had the tallarín verde with steak, lomo saltado and thfour cheese pizza, for desserts we had the "merengon" (literally one of the best desserts I have had in my life) and Peruvian alfajores. Each dish was so flavorful. The service was great, very welcoming environment, positive vibes, it is evident they put a lot of love in everything they do. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

We came by accident when we were driving by, but were we pleasantly surprised. This is a family restaurant serving both Peruvian and Italian cuisine. Owners are both Peruvian and had a restaurant in Peru serving Italian cuisine. So when moving to USA why not serve both Peruvian and Italian.I had Lomo Saltado, I have had this at several Peruvian restaurants, but this was far superior. We noticed a couple sitting next to us ordered a Pizza which looked great. So we came back two days later and ordered the pizza Winter Garden. It was as great as it looked, on thin crust which is our favorite. All in all a great experience and we will certainly make this our 'go to' restaurant.
