We serendipitously stumbled upon this authentic Mexican restaurant in Longwood. I recall reading about it in the Orlando Weekly a while back.They've been around for years.The service was friendly, courteous and helpful.The food was excellent.I enjoy this type of cuisine.We will be back.

I went for their soft opening and they have two restaurants combined into one building with two separate menus! I think the Thai food is absolutely amazing! They do still have some room to grow on the Mexican side but they are still working out all the kinks with this being their soft opening is normal! The tacos did have some good flavor and fresh toppings! My favorite is maya Thais pad Thai so delicious! The waitress was really nice and attentive! Definitely recommend trying it for yourself.

Don't sleep on Longwood, people! I feel Longwood and Sanford are similar in they have many dining stalwarts. Sanford has Hollerbach and Longwood has La Fonda Mexican Kitchen. Absolutely delicious food you can rely on and at a decent price point given how dining out is getting more and more expensive. At first blush, this restaurant may not look like much but inside it is spotless and very big. You could host several families here to dine. My carne asada was excellent, as was my horchata. The chips and salsa are so addictive! When I return, I will likely order the fish tacos and a margarita. I have a feeling everything here is yummy and worth every penny. I'm already super fond of La Fonda!

Picked up some flautas for lunch. You get 4 flautas with toppings on top. Food had great flavor but I took it to go and it was soggy. Price was very reasonable. They had seating inside and outside.

La Fonda Mexican Kitchen is located in Longwood, Florida on State Road 434 in a decent sized shopping plaza. It is a small restaurant and when I was in here on a Saturday afternoon, there was just one other group of people dining in the establishment. I am a huge fan of Mexican food and have found that the best Mexican food usually comes from these humble little mom-and-pop, hole-in-the-wall type places.This place definitely fits in with the aforementioned humble places. I wish that I could say that the food was anything above mediocre.My server was friendly and brought out the standard chips and salsa. Be advised that they have a sign saying that the first bowl of chips is free. After that it is two dollars for more.The chips and salsa were both obviously outsourced. They both taste like they came out of either a jar (for the salsa) or a bag (for the chips) and both tasted like they were discounted brands.I went with the porky burrito, which was about fifteen dollars. For fifteen dollars, it was small. I would say that it was about half the size of a burrito from Chipotle. The fast food Chipotle burrito was more flavorful, as well.I wish that I could recommend this establishment, but honestly, it was a miss in almost every aspect. I will give it three stars and that is being kind.

First time here and we will be coming back often ! Mexican is one of our favorites cuisines and their food did not disappoint!!! The queso fondido , molcajete, tacos and beans with rice. All of it was amazing ! The waitresses were so sweet , food came out hot and quick. Thank you!

This is my go-to for Taco Tuesday real tacos real flavor no nonsense good Mexican food It also helps that they sell Mexican Coca-Cola as well which is one of my favorites in the bottle and a nice unassuming location

Wow this place has gone downhill. While I'm not regular here the food has been decent. This visit, waitress was more interested in flirting with a table of 8 Mexican guys than looking after other customers. I witnessed a female take her glass to the counter to get a refill. I had a lunch burrito all 3" long. I got my food ahead of my drink and chips&salsa. The salsa had a plastic bottle taste. Service was not friendly. Food was mediocre at best. Not recommended
