La Empanada Food Truck

I don't look at these as normal empanadas and I'm glad that someone is brave enough to push the envelope in an old classic dish.. The spinach artichoke empanada hit the spot.. Especially with the drinks I was having at the guest house since the truck was parked in the front. I look forward to having more so I can update that review to 5 stars!!! Amazing prices. $3 for your choice of empanadas! I had the Cuban and the chicken empanadas, and let me tell that while they're both great, the Cuban is truly unique. It is full of Swiss cheese and pork and ham, with a delicious pickle sauce on the side. I can safely say I've never had this particular style of empanada anywhere, and that it's on a mobile food truck is even better!I had some while seeing a show at Will's Pub, and I can't recommend this food truck more. Next time I need to try the ropa vieja, they were sold out when I went! Either way, one of the best food trucks for a quick light snack at night, especially when you don't want to shell out $15 for a huge messy food truck meal.P.S. the water bottles are only $1 and they're 20 oz.! Bargain of the century.

Lord I love me some empanadas and this place is my food truck mobile heaven. I'm a hands down fan of Latin style food and food trucks on any day. So, when this place came to life it was the love child I needed. The location various, but can be easily found on their website or Twitter. The running deal is 3 empanadas for 9 bucks. Don't think for one second that this won't fill you up cause these babies are stuffed carb glory. I usually go with the picadillo cause it's my fave. But the flavors of the day have swayed me more than once. Anything with goat cheese is sure to get my attention. Staff is always quick and friendly and I've stalked them down on more than one lunch break in the past. The dessert ones are always a safe bet too if you've got a sweet tooth like me. Overall: AA mobile love child of empanadas and food truck.

Delicious heaven filled empanadas. I always get the 3 for $9 deal because I can't get JUST one. My favorites are the queso and the black bean with plantains. The picadillo is usually my third choice. The dough is perfectly fried and everything comes out hot and fresh. If you're at Will's or Lil Indies you gotta get an empanada.

I just enjoyed the chicken and gouda empanada and the flavors were wonderful. I thought it would be cheesy but it wasn't...it was very well balanced.

Great empanadas! Sundried tomato goat cheese was my fave. Also had the picadillo and Bbq chicken which were also both great. And they were not at all greasy as empanadas can be.

Delicious empanadas! Tried the BBQ chicken, beef, and cheese varieties. Favorite was the cheese. Beef had some vegetables mixed in as well which was a nice surprise. All were filled rather generously which was also a pleasant surprise. Guy at the window was super nice too.

Sitting outside Will's I was sorely tempted by La Empanada and the charming owners offerings of a black bean plaintain, bbq chicken gouda and picadillo empanada all for just $9. The crust on the empanadas is textured perfectly-chewy with a little crisp and no grease. The fillings are flavorful and definitely will hit the spot late night while bar hopping. So glad I tried! I've also seen them outside Washburn Imports downtown location. Just give in to temptation if you see them. You won't be sorry!

La Empanada was a vendor for our reception celebration & let me tell you they are incredible! The empanadas were beyond tasty & our guests LOVED them. Highly recommend!

La Empanada Food Truck is absolutely amazing! We look for this truck every time there are food trucks! Each time I've had a different Empanada (3 empanadas for $9) and they each have been outstanding! I am looking forward to trying all the different kinds of empanadas that they offer. Love this food truck!
