KOS Coffee - Maitland

This Itty bitty Nordic style coffee shop in Maitland is super cute and the baristas are really friendly. It was a great space to catch up on work and enjoy their seasonal ginger latte. My friend also had their banana muffin and said it was really l, really good.They close early @4pm so plan accordingly. There is lots of parking in the front and back and they are located in the same plaza lot as the new Lazy Moon.

Pros: * The oat milk matcha latte was beautifully presented and delicious, though a bit strong for my taste. A lighter hand with the matcha would have made it more balanced. * My pickled herring toast had fresh ingredients and, while slightly dry, was still enjoyable. * Good seating options, both indoors and outdoors, provided a comfortable space to relax.Cons: * I checked the menu online before visiting to plan my order but the in-store menu was significantly different, with higher prices--especially for food. For example, the pickled herring toast was listed as $10 online but cost around $15 at the café. * They lacked Danish rye bread and only served American sourdough instead. Apart from the Norwegian steeped coffee (described as "unfiltered and prepared in a traditional Nordic kettle"), the herring, and the skyr yogurt, the Norwegian influence on the menu seemed minimal. * Service was a bit slow. One staff member was friendly and attentive, but another seemed irritated when I asked for extra dill and mayo to accompany my toast, which was slightly dry and a bit under-seasoned.

Really cute coffee shop with a small town feel. The baristas are really friendly and explained everything about their process and all inclusive pricing. I got the Norwegian waffle with strawberry compote which was tasty, not too sweet but there was quite a bit of compote. I would say $11 for it didn't seem quite reasonable but I did enjoy it. My friend got the blueberry scone which was pretty average but fresh, and buttered toast which was on the saltier side. We got a vanilla iced latte with oat milk and an iced marzipan latte with oat as well. Both were good but the syrups had a bit of a sugar free after taste to them. Overall this is a cute shop that I'm excited to see grow.

This coffee is sooooo flavorful and fresh. The nutty flavor was exactly what I was looking for! The employee answered all my questions and helped me find something I would like. This shop is absolutely adorable and very clean. You are able to buy a bag of there coffee to bring home as well. Definitely worth a pop in.

KOS is a super cute Nordic coffee shop located in a strip mall in Maitland. They are known for ethically sourcing and roasting their own beans in house. They have limited seating inside and every spot was full when I visited on a Monday afternoon. They also have a few seating options outside as well. The space is minimal and well-designed with some cool merch available for purchase. The menu is pretty straightforward with all the classic coffee drinks (espresso, drip, cappuccino, latte, flat white, cold brew, americano, etc.) and some pastry items. I got a cold brew with oat milk and a thick slice of the banana bread which was very tasty. Service was quick & friendly! Definitely a spot I would be willing to make a quick stop into again when I'm in the area.

KOS is a small little place in a strip mall in Maitland, by the new Lazy Moon! They are doing the roasting themselves in the back and have a good selection of coffees. I feel like they do cater to very craft brews and are very straight forward, not as much on the specialty/seasonal side of things. If you like just a good basic coffee, come try KOS. Their seating is very limited, so I would just do a to-go order. This is a nice easy stop for us in the middle of the work day when we need a quick pick me up. I believe they also have some beer/wine and some small food items. I havent tried those just yet! Try it out if you are in the area and want something quick!

We love this little coffee shop! So glad KOS moved into our neighborhood. The coffee is great and they have several food options. You can even get a glass of wine if you'd like.The service is always friendly, attentive and efficient. Always a great experience.

I had an espresso with Ube and honey, and it was absolutely the most complex and delicious coffee I've ever had. It was smooth flavorful, and all around perfect next, I had the Nutella with strawberries on sourdough bread, and that had a great balance of savory and sweet, without being dessert for breakfast.They are located in a shopping plaza in Maitland with plenty of parking The staff was knowledgeable and nice and I would definitely recommend you coming in and taking a seat and enjoying anything, including the amthey have to offer

I'm obsessed with KOS Coffee. They have curated such a lovely space. Service was fantastic and the staff were nice. The shop was clean and well organized. It was well decorated with great music. I loved how all of their plants had name tags. I got a hot latte and the smoked salmon toast. The latte was gorgeous. The espresso was rich and had a great crema. The latte art was perfect. My toast was lovely. There were plenty of toppings and I loved the picketed red onions and capers. This is definitely going to be in my regular coffee shop rotation and I'm excited to come back!
