You have to go to Kava's Tacos and Tequila for a birthday or a night out. The vibe is super fun and very family and girls night out friendly. They've got a dj on some nights and a fire twirler; as well as a mariachi band. We got so much food and the margarita pitchers were yummy! Plus I got a shot of tequila and bottle service!!! Our server was fabulous and worked with my allergies and it was just so fun!! 10/10

Cool little spot! Lots of shops and areas to chill outside if you just want to people watch before you take a table to eat as well. I got the Big Ass Burrito which was HUGE and decent. The salsa here is really good, I loved it! Service was fairly quick even though it was pretty busy. If you're going on the weekend, I'd recommend calling for a reservation.

We had an OK experience at this restaurant recently. It is at The Pointe in Orlando. The Point is actually located close to the Orange County convention center, so the businesses are heavily impacted when conventions are in town. I had the skirt steak fajitas, which were actually good. My wife actually wanted the skirt steak fajitas as well; however, the SSF was the only non-GF fajita option so she would've had to go with the chicken. My wife decided to go with the shrimp tacos GF and they were quite bland and not tasty. We found the lighting level to be a little on the dark side; but, overall a cool ambiance. Also, our server, Yosiana, was nice. This restaurant started to get really busy just as we were leaving (perfect timing). As the parking deck was almost completely empty, I think a lot of the business was from the surrounding hotels and convention center.

I had my birthday dinner here and I'm glad I did! The vibe is so fun! There are entertainers and you kinda feel like you're in Vegas! The margaritas are amazing (I recommend doing too shelf they taste so much better and less heart burn) and all the food was so good! They brought out a huge sign for my birthday and also jumped on the table and had me do a shot for my birthday! My friends bought me the big birthday desert and it was amazing!

I was staying at the Rosen Plaza for a conference and walked across the street to KAVAS for dinner. It was so fun! The decor was beautiful and they had a mariachi band playing. Our server was friendly and attentive. I loved my drink, the chips and salsa were yummy (but they did cost $3), and the shrimp tacos and rice were yummy and flavorful.

Absolutely amazing. Went here on a whim due to family being in town and wanted popped in as it was national margarita day! They had a wait but the hostess went out of her way to squeeze the two of us in. Our server was very nice and recommended our entree. We got the birria nachos and omg they were mouth watering. There was more than enough for 2 people to devour. Additionally, they had their house marg on special for national marg day & it was delightful. While it was a house marg, it tasted like a skinny marg... just writing this review I'm craving the entire meal again. If in area, def recommend going there but making a reservation. We got lucky, but now we know for next time!

Kavas offers a lively scene that is perfect for large groups and special occasions! The restaurant is quite spacious with indoor and outdoor seating but I recommend making reservations as the place was filling up quickly throughout brunch hours on Saturday. I enjoyed the festivities on display for other patrons birthdays and celebrations. There is a mariachi band that comes around. I did appreciate though that it wasn't constant. The band came around several times but I was still able to comfortably converse during the pauses. The food was nice but nothing extremely memorable if I'm being honest. I had the birria hash and while pleasant, far from the most flavorful birria. However, the meat was really tender and I did go hard on the queso! Also, the service was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly, made great recommendations, and checked on us frequently. I am very likely to return! Although I will say there is no self parking available at the restaurant itself. There is valet and a nearby garage but no validation.

Discovered this gem of a unique Mexican restaurant while in Orlando attending a work conference which was in walking distant from my hotel the Hyatt Regency and part of the many options located on International Dr. The hospitable staff was experienced the moment I walked through the door and continued for the remainder of my dining experience of their modern Mexican cuisine and vibrant decor throughout the restaurant. My server was very knowledgeable and on point with the recommendations of the loaded birria fries for an appetizer, and an entree of the Kavas chopped salad with grilled shrimp. I hate that I did not have room for dessert but this gives me reason to return again.

The food is much better than I remember during my first visit!I brought some out-of-town friends here for dinner because they were in the mood for Mexican food and I-Drive was a central location for everyone. One person is a picky eater, so I suggested Kava because I remember being impressed with the chicken flautas. If anyone knows me, I don't order chicken anything at restaurants because it's usually DRY. Here's what we ordered:Prickly Pear Margarita: DO IT. Immediately! It's pretty and sweet and delicious. If I wasn't driving, I'd have ordered two... or three. Margarita: Skirt Steak: My friend said this was really good!Lobster Tacos: I was pleasantly surprised by the Chipotle Lime butter sauce. I was expecting just a basic lobster taco but it gave another level of deliciousness. The lobster may have been slightly overcooked but the flavor was incredible. Picky eater ordered Chicken Fajitas: She said they were yummy. Things I didn't like:-The tables can be very close together.-It's LOUD. (Great place for a party vibe though.)-Staff stand on tables when giving certain drink experiences. Getcho damn feet off the table...-It took a few asks for things from other staff members(napkins, salsa, chips, additional drinks/food orders...) Our server was busy being the guy on the tables turning up.
