Kappy's Subs

Finally made it to what's been a dubbed a Florida MUST - & I agree! I was looking for a sandwich on the way to Orlando from Daytona and this happened to line up perfectly.My initial description was, this tastes "like the 90s". That made sense to a friend, do with that what you will. Nowadays sandwiches don't tastes as fresh, they aren't dressed properly, and these came ready for the occasion in every way. I was in a rush, the pick up instructions were simple, and I only wish I had gotten more.This is a must try all over again, glad its not too far away.

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing... but it was barely just okay.I would normally order the Reuben at any new deli style restaurant that I try but I resisted the urge given they had a sandwich bearing its own name. So against my better judgement, I stepped out on a limb and ordered the Kappy Special with American cheese, peppers, onions, mushrooms (didn't realize they'd be canned) and banana peppers, fries and a drink. It was made to order and super fresh and it didn't take very long. The guy was helpful enough when I ordered. It really was a decent overall experience but I just ordered the wrong thing. I didn't realize I'd be getting an actual ground beef Cheesesteak. So ground beef with a little salt, onion powder.. and a few toppings literally NOTHING fancy. I work nearby but I doubt I'll come back, I'm just not impressed.I also wouldn't want to waste another $17 to be disappointed.

Was really looking forward to trying Kappy's as it seemed like the community really rallied around them not shutting down when they had a leasing issue a few months ago. Unfortunately I was left disappointed. The staff was very unfriendly and unprofessional, said we were taking too long to decide to order and made us incredibly uncomfortable with some comments that were made. The unpleasant experience aside we were pretty disappointed by the food. Ordered 2 philly cheesesteaks and some fries. The sandwiches were dry and lacking in flavor. The fries were good. Have had better sandwiches from Publix. Over all not worth the stop, don't see myself returning.

Nice hot dogs with plenty of toppings. Outside is clean. Very affordable! When you call ahead they don't make it before you get there so when you arrive go up to the counter for someone to start your order.

An Orlando staple for sandwiches, burgers and such. And they serve the best french fries around, never greasy and cooked just right.The staff is always friendly and willing to help make your meal just right. Old school diner feel with an outdoor patio area great for a date night!

Kappy's Subs is an iconic institution here in the Orlando, Florida area. Kappy's Subs is located in Maitland, Florida, so Kappy's Subs is located between Orlando and Longwood, Florida. Kappy's Subs has been in operation since 1967, that is a long time and Kappy's Subs is definitely a great option for a cheesesteak, burger or more.The service has always been friendly and professional. The ambiance is pretty humble, but there really isn't anything too fancy about the food that they serve here at Kappy's Subs. The cheesesteaks here are definitely good for what you can get in Florida and I would definitely recommend Kappy's Subs.

HOORAY!!! Kappy's is not closing down! This is the best news that all the locals could get. It shows that if we all rally, stand together and let our feelings be known, a lot could be accomplished! The uproar obviously reached the new owners, and the negotiation was reached! Thank you for reconsidering and working with the community to keep our precious diner open!

Came here this Sunday at 1:30pm to try and support Kappy's and they are closed, no sign giving a reason, no nothing, just closed even though the hours of operation sign says they are supposed to be open on Sunday's 11-4.Sad business practice...

This place is delicious ! I hope it stays forever So that my man and I can return year after year still in love still eating kappys. Too freaking good!! You have to get the Philly! The atmosphere is the best!! Enjoy the weather outside or eat inside at the nostalgic counter top!
