Very nice place, cozy and small (just 6 tables and a counter. Steve was by himself serving and taking care of the place, super nice guy, came with his recommendations on the menu. I had the pork katsu with Japanese curry. Very flavorful, big portion, good price. I'll definitely be back to try other options.

My husband and I were excited to finally try the place out. It's a bit of a drive for us but we made it out and left a bit disappointed. 2 stars is being nice. Waitress was fine. They were out of a few items on the menu: drunken noodles, ramen and Thai tea. My husband wanted the drunken noodles so that sucked. We ended up ordering the spam fries, chicken katsu curry and the mi kho (forgot what it's called, it's on the special menu). The spam fries weren't bad. Fries were fresh. I liked this item. The chicken katsu was dry, hard and overcooked. The udon noodles in the curry sauce was good. The curry itself... was eh. My husband had the mi kho. He didn't like it. Very bland even with the "special sauce" mixed into it. Meat was flavorless. The shrimp was decent and probably the only good thing in his dish.Sorry, won't be back. Overpriced food and it didn't "wow" us. There's better Asian restaurants out there.

Kai Asian Street Fare is a modern local spot that serves a mix of different Asian cuisines from Korean to Thai to Vietnamese. They've also been Michelin rated for some time now. This is a real small intimate spot located in a plaza where it could be easy to miss if you didn't know it was there. When you walk in you're greeted to a semi lit environment with seating for around 20 people give or take. They've got "bar" seating which would be a decent spot if you're ordering some ramen.Their menu doesn't blow you away with a huge number of items but they focus on really delivering on what they do have available. We ordered soy garlic wings, chili soy wontons and the Vietnamese garlic noodles.Let's start with the chili soy wontons, I hope you like spice. They pack a massive punch when it comes so spice. The pork and shrimp inside are very tender and the wontons are very flavorful. The soy garlic wings are extra crispy, the sauce isn't overly sweet and they're packed with flavors. This may have been our favorite. The Vietnamese garlic noodles were amazing! The noodles were cooked perfectly the garlic was present throughout but not overbearing. The noodles had such a buttery glaze throughout. We got this with shrimp and the shrimp was really good with it.The bottom line, highly recommend Kai. I've had the opportunity of visiting a few times and the staff is always friendly. The food always delivers. It's a great low key vibe type of spot that doesn't get too crowded. This is great to go with a smaller group or for a good quality dinner.

Wings, drunken noodles, and A5 Pho - outstanding! Our server was very friendly and courteous despite the place being packed. Will definitely be back.

I've been hearing about Kai for years and years, basically the whole time I've lived in the Central Florida area, and I just hadn't gone yet. Well, I had to pick a place to have lunch with a bunch of old chums, so I was like, you know what, it's time to freaking go to Kai. So we went. And I'm so glad we did. I get here right when it opens to claim seats for nine. Then we wait for everyone and start browsing the menu. I started off with a Thai Milk Tea (Freshly brewed, not from powder. Immensely refreshing). And oh my, it was indeed refreshing. I enjoyed it. Very smooth. Then it was time to order food. We all kind of ordered a bunch of stuff and shared with each other, so I'll outline what I remember getting my hands on. Chili Soy Wontons (Handmade pork and shrimp wontons with spicy chili soy). I actually tried both wontons. Very good! Steamed well, plump and full of filling. Very good use of the chili soy and the lemongrass aroma to accent flavor. Big fan of these. I also got to try the Kai Ribs (Sous-vide pork ribs, thai flavor BBQ sauce, sesame seeds, scallions). These ribs. They get is exactly right, The perfect combination of fall off the bone tenderness, super crispiness on the outside, and the sauce, oh the sauce. This might be my favorite Asian rib in town now. I, of course, had to get the Korean-Style Crispy Wings. I eat pretty much every wing I ever encounter on a menu. And these were superb. I don't think they are as good as a certain juggernaut in the Orlando area, you know, but they are at least within one standard deviation of them. Mega crispy, super juicy, well sauced. These are three star Michelin wings. I got a noodle dish that I can't find on the menu anymore. That's ok, I love a constantly rotating menu. But it used those thick noodles that you see in Pad See Ew. It was a very generous helping of noodles, plenty of fresh veg for some fresh texture, and shrimps aplenty, all in a lovely sauce. I ate this whole dang thing, without even thinking about leftovers. It was so good. The other main entrée that I had was a special they were running. So it's not on the online menu anymore. I do remember it was some sort of chicken katsu with a Japanese curry on the side and a cheesy potato rice dish also on the side. This was the obvious main event, and it was awesome. I don't see dishes like this very often, so I jumped on the opportunity, and I'm very glad I did.Overall, this place doesn't appear to be good for large parties, it's very small and cozy. But, it absolutely was very good for my large party that day. I was very pleased with everything, the food, the service, and the ambiance. I will probably be back. Or, I should correct myself, I'll probably be frequenting the location at the food hall that opened up literally 150 yards from my front door.

Pros:Amazing amazing food! Such a good menu. It's small, but it's also pretty varied, and I love how many sharable things they had. The inside was beautiful. It felt very Asian, but not too far in a specific country's direction, making everyone feel welcome. On top of their great menu, they had unexpected specials that were also pretty yummy sounding. The staff was excellent. They have a small space and accommodated our party of nine like it was no problem.Cons:I couldn't spot a single con. I can't even complain that they're too far away, now that their food hall location opened up 100 yards away from my front door. Tips:Get the wings. Get them. If they offer any curry on special, get it. Get it.Actually, just order everything.

I would come here again. It's cute and quaint. The menu is small but has good options. I would say though the portions were quite filling. The service here is nice and the host was really sweet. I would come here again for a quick bite

An absolute must. This place was amazing from start to finish. We were greeted right when we walked in and offered a seat where we would like and opted for a booth along the wall. Menus were brought out and they may be short and sweet but offer plenty of variety! We did a shared order of wings (you can select up to two flavors for six wings per order), the garlic noodles with chicken, and the spam bowl. For a drink I went with the cold sake. Everything was delicious. The wings were the perfect crunch. The noodle plate was huge and super filling, and the spam had a great flavor palette to it! There was one waitress working for the small space and she killed it! Overall: A+Would 100% recommend and we will be back!
