Just Like Momma's Soul Food & Wings.

NEW RESTAURANT ALERT‼ (Actually it's been here for 3 months lol)!! Apopka has a soul food restaurant right next to Three Guys Brewing. They have lots of seating, a small bar and a large stage in the middle of the restaurant for weekend entertainment. Hubby ordered fried chicken w/ mac n cheese (also came w rice and cornbread). I ordered the oxtails w collard greens. The lady that took our order was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was good, not great. I enjoyed the chicken but everything else needed a lot more flavor and seasoning. Definitely going to try again soon and check out their entertainment nights.

I was disappointed with the Mac and cheese and the greens weren't that great. The oxtail and rice with gravy was really good. The oxtails were tender and seasoned well. I really wanted to love it here but it needs some improving in all areas :(

So my husband wanted to try this restaurant and we did tonight for the first time.I ordered oxtails with a side of collard greens and cornbread.'it came with rice which i didn't know but it was cool. Now the flavor of the meat that i for to take was delicious. My issue is that the amount of meat i got was the equivalent of two small oxtails. Once i got the gravy off i discovered that all but one or two collective oxtails actually had meat on it. Needless to say i was very disappointed and not happy. At the price of $18 for oxtails i expect meat not fat covered in gravy. That absolutely needs to be better. The collard greens were amazing!! Nor a fan of the Mac n cheese or cornbread. My cornbread was dry and bottom burnt. My husbands fish was good. I really wish everything was good but maybe it was an offer night

Liver & Onions at Just Like Momma's. I normally do not give reviews but I had to place this one. The service was nice, I felt welcome when I entered the establishment. I ordered Liver and Onions, rice & gravy and string beans, which came with cornbread. I also order 4 jumbo shrimp, because they were having a Friday special. The Liver & Onions were seasoned with protection and the gravy was not watery nor lumpy. The string beans did not taste like they came from a can. The cornbread was not from Jiffy but from scratch and it did have just enough of a hint of sweetness. The jumbo shrimp was fried well and was not pre-season in a cornbread mixture. Overall, the meal was excellent to the taste buds and not over seasoned. I will definitely be returning for more! I rate this meal a 9.5 out of 10.

I have been twice both times never got any food. The first time was on grand opening day. We were a party of 3 and after placing our orders and waiting 30 minutes we were told they were out of fried chicken and it would be a wait. We chose to find somewhere else to eat. The second time was yesterday. Placed a to go order and was told 20 minutes after they were out of greens.. We chose different sides and waited another 20 minutes and asked about for a refund. Which was given and was told our food was given to someone else by mistake. I will never come back.... extremely disappointed.
