Joy Japan Sushi & Hibachi

Hidden Gem, really good food. Service and atmosphere are great too. Will be back. The sushi was to die for.

I've had the pleasure of dining here on four different occasions, as well as ordering takeout several times, and I can confidently say that the service is consistently excellent and the food is absolutely delicious.I highly recommend trying their sushi and poke bowls; they are simply delightful! My husband is a big fan of their hibachi, although he did mention that the clear soup could use a bit more flavor.As for the atmosphere, you can choose to dress up or keep it casual--whatever suits your style! Just a heads-up: it tends to be quite chilly inside, so you might want to bring a light sweater.Overall, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Fast delicious and fresh food. This place was so surprising we are glad we stumbled upon it and cannot wait to go back. The service was impeccable.

We were excited to hear about this restaurant opening up in town, as there isn't anything quite like it around. The restaurant is smaller, but has options for dining in or take out! The service was really good, the wait staff were quick and friendly! The food was really good too, everything we ordered was wonderful! While we had a truly wonderful experience, there were some things that seemed odd to us, that didn't make the experience worse by any means, but more so just left us confused. The hibachi meal didn't seem like true hibachi, and it was strange that noodles weren't included in the meal. There were no chopsticks at the table or offered, which if you've ever eaten sushi with a fork, it's just not the same...and lastly the sauce selection seemed to be lacking, we only had soy sauce on the table and given a small (shallow) dish of white sauce. Overall we would definitely come back again! The few odd things to us, weren't enough to make it a bad experience as we still really enjoyed the food and again, the service was impeccable! I would definitely recommend others to try this restaurant out!

Simply put, you shouldn't be able to get quality sushi and Japanese dishes in little ole St. Cloud, Florida. Buttttt.... Things have changed! Joy Japan does a TERRIFIC job hitting the spot when the craving for some Yaki Soba comes up or that sushi hunger pain. Give this place a shot! Well worth it.

Has been our new go to for takeout even though it's not close to the house. Good selection of sushi and my daughter loves that she can get a bento box with the things she likes. Service is always fast and friendly. We will definitely have more visits in the future.

We LOVE Joy Japan. My husband and I go once a month and it has become a special place for our daughter. This was the first restaurant she has ever been too. She was about a month old when we first brought her in and now she's almost 6 months old. She loves sitting where she can watch the chefs at the sushi bar work. The staff is also so kind and plays with her, either playing peek a boo or smiling and waving at her. We feel so welcome and at home here! The inside is always clean and you don't feel like you're sitting on top of anyone else even though it's a smaller space. Not only is the service incredible, the food is as well! The pricing is great especially for lunch. If you look at the photos posted:- Blue plate features the Sushi and Sashimi Lunch $16.25. White plate features the 2 rolls for $11 Lunch (sweet potato rolls and salmon avocado roll) - My daughter enjoying watching the sushi chefs work!- Love Boat for two $65 (10pcs Sushi, 18pcs Sashimi, Fancy dragon roll & Rainbow roll)

Atmosphere is great, well decorated with the proper furnishings, Staff is friendly, & astute to their customers needs. I had the lunch special shrimp & scallops, seaweed salad & my wife had salmon. Both were prepared prefect, shrimp & scallops were tender & juicy, the salmon was prefect, moist & tender. If you enjoy well prepared Asian food stop in & say hi.

Ordered a chicken tempura sushi roll in person for takeout for my daughter. We specifically went in person rather than call to check ingredients and customize if possible. I asked what ingredients the chicken tempura roll has before ordering because my daughter has a severe fish allergy. No fish was mentioned but when I got home and unpacked the order her roll was covered in fish roe making it unsafe for her to eat. When I called and said nobody mentioned it has fish when we ordered I was told "Sorry. All our sushi has roe on top." Guess we're done eating here now that we know that detail. I just wish they had shared it when we ordered

Another great meal at Joy Japan in St. Cloud! Our server, Stan Shentga, was knowledgeable and attentive.Their sushi is fresh, delicious, and very well presented. However, this time we decided to try their hibachi and yak soba, and we weren't disappointed! The steak and shrimp hibachi came with a starter of clear soup and ginger salad. The soup was warm and flavorful, and the salad was crisp and refreshing. The steak was cooked to perfection (we opted for med-rare) and so were the shrimp (juicy and springy). The shrimp glaze paired well with the fried rice and mixed vegetables.The vegetable yaki soba was wonderful, and reminded me of our favorite EPCOT restaurant; Teppan Edo. The vegetables were tender crisp. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the sauce was flavorful and mild, and didn't overpower the dish. The portions are large and we left with leftovers. We will definitely return to Joy Japan!
