Jolly Gator Fish Camp

I would give this a 10 star! First time visiting and it was awesome! Jalapeño poppers, catfish, okra, swamp cabbage, oh MY! Love love all of it! And our waitress Chelsea heard it was ur anniversary and brought us a hot cake with ice cream and chocolate. OH MY goodness!!!amazing! We will be back!! And compliments to Logan and James for an amazing meal!!

We missed the turn in for this place. There's a small sign that says it's on the left ahead but it meant right there. You drive through a lot of trucks and trailers parked and you wind around to the end where the restaurant is. It's not a good parking lot for motorcycles. There's not a sign there either, but once you go inside you'll find a nice little dining room and bar. You sit wherever you want and there's outdoor tables as well. I had a clam strip basket that comes with Coke slaw, corn fritters and fries or onion rings. Food was great and plentiful. Prices were very reasonable and service was good. I had sweet tea which was below average. Bathrooms are on the outside. I recommend giving it a try.

My favorite kind of restaurant, off the main roads. Even better that is on the water. We Came here with the kids . We had excellent food and excellent service. The sweet tea was great too! We'll definitely be back!

What a hidden gem! It's right on the water of the St John's River. Beautiful and peaceful scenery with amazing food. We got their gator tacos and chicken wings. The wings were delicious! Their most popular flavor is Scotty style so we of course had to try it and it did not disappoint. Probably the best wings I've had in a long time. The staff and customers were all so friendly. You can definitely tell it's a local hotspot and very happy we stumbled upon them. Go check them out!

Great seafood restaurant right on the St. Johns River!Both the service and the food was wonderful. You can choose to eat outside or inside depending on the Florida weather. If it's nice outside, eating on their porch allows you to see all the wildlife (birds, gators) that make the river their home!Highly recommended!

We went right after it opened and were first table of the day! Our server was so sweet and attentive! We started off with a cup of the swamp cabbage and it was so unique! Great flavors! Highly recommend. My son got 10 bbq wings and they were the biggest wings I've been in years! Great! My hubby and I split the gator basket with Cajun seasoning, onion rings, cole slaw and corn fritters. Gator was some of the best we've ever had! So tender and seasoned well. Onion rings and coleslaw were amazing! Sauce for gator wasn't my favorite ever, but it wasn't bad. Corn fritters reminded me of funnel cake! I'm more of a hush puppy person, but they were unique! We will return the next time we visit Danville in Geneva!

Service was good. Loved the view right on the St. John River. Cod basket was loaded with goodies: 2 big pieces of fish, hush puppies, fries, coleslaw. All tasty. My new go to place on the way to the Sanford airport

Amazing staff, the BEST soup I have ever had. I was having a horrible day but this soup turned my day around. The swamp soup is a must try for sure! Amazing sweet tea and our sweet waitress brought us a whole pitcher without us asking. It was like she read my mind! I wish I caught her name. Thank you for making this very rough day a little brighter. Beautiful scenery. 10/10 recommend and we will definitely be back!!
