I really wanted to give this restaurant a great review as we've had good experiences in the past - but today's visit really put a sour taste and I'm not sure I'll return. This was my first time returning to dine in months.I am a Landry's member, and that helped me get bumped to the top of the waiting list to be sat - a great perk that I've used at several Landry's restaurants. That was the only thing that made me feel like the membership was worth it. Today, the restaurant was not packed and I felt there was a reasonable amount of waiters per seated tables. Our waiter and the food were the downfalls here. My brother was given one of those yellow tools to open the crab, but it was bent and gross-looking from previous users, we asked the waiter for one and he gave it to us. The waiter felt rushed and it didn't feel like he wanted to take the time to take care of our table. Our order was placed quickly as we knew what we wanted to eat and drink. It took about 30 minutes of waiting for our food before the waiter finally came over to address our wait and said the kitchen was overwhelmed from a larger order and our food would be out shortly. About 10 minutes later our food came out. Our waiter never offered to refill our drinks, and did quick drive-by check-ins and not stopping. My mom ordered a platter and the food came out cold, we think it was sitting out while they were making our crabs. The Dungeoness Crab was very small compared to what we've had at this location before, we didn't want to send it back because of how long it took to get the meal in the first place. My dad, brother and I all ordered the Dungeoness Crab buckets with Old Bay, and one of them came out looking different. We brought it to the attention of the waiter but he argued with us saying "it was just butter that made it look different." My brother tasted it and it was spicy, so we requested to send it back - the waiter came out with a new one and blamed it on the kitchen. The Dungeoness Crabs we were given were significantly smaller than what we've had in the past for the same price. You would think for $54.99 each that you'd get something remotely close to your money's worth - this alone made me not want to come back. The highlights to make up for the unenjoyable meal:For the platter, the shrimp was tasty. The new crab buckets and butter bowls are so much better than before, and the butter no longer curdles. The waiter comped our dessert and gave two free appetizer coupons for our inconvenience. Although I'm not sure that I want to come back to use those coupons, I am glad that it was offered at the end.
