Jimmy Hula's

I stopped in today to place a to-go order for dinner. Around 5 pm, there were not many people there, so I was able to walk right up and order. There are 2 kiosks to order at. However, the staff member took my order for me. She was helpful when I asked what she liked on the menu, and I decided upon the teriyaki bowl. I also added on a M&M cookie after seeing the large cookies on top of the counter in the cake displays. I waited for maybe 5 minutes and my order was ready.I arrived home and was glad at how nice my order was packaged. The teriyaki bowl was good and flavorful. The sauce that came with it took it to the next level. I opted for chicken as the protein, and it was very yummy, I just wished there was a larger portion of the chicken in the bowl. The M&M cookie was good and definitely worth the $2.50.

It had been a few years since I'd been to a Jimmy Hula's. A frequent stop of mine in the early 2010's, my go-to location at UCF has since closed, and I was curious to see if it still holds up. I'm happy to say the food is every bit as good as I remember. The staff was extremely accommodating and I could tell they kept the place surprisingly clean.I ordered the Baja fish taco and the Luau chicken taco. Both were exceptional, but I prefer the Luau. I added a side of Voodoo Sauce, a must-have for extra flavor and some chip dipping. I will say the price was a bit steep. It was $15 for two tacos and a water with a $2 tip.On this visit, I found out they make their own hot sauce and furthermore discovered one that I really like called Awesome Sauce, a peach chili sauce that might be my new favorite. Only $6/bottle.All in all, superb visit and I'll be stopping by again soon.

I am so sad it has taken me this long to try Jimmy Hula's! We were so impressed with the restaurant! The menu is pretty extensive and has some really great options including tacos, burgers, burritos, bowls and fries!I got the Aloha Burger and it was yummy! The patty was juicy and it had lots of flavor! Now the fries are truly the star! We tried the Jerk fries and Mojo fries and they were both AMAZING! I would go here just for the fries. The seasoning and sauces were great, and they were really crispy.The staff was amazing and super friendly! Service was fast and there was lots of seating options both inside and outside. You order your food at the counter, grab a seat and then they bring your food out to you. The restaurant has a beachy vibe and is very relaxed. Fantastic food for a "fast food" restaurant and I will definitely be back for some more fries!

1st time experience for this Cali-Mex & creative varieties of menu. Love the vibes of the establishment, laid back feel with lots of Cali nostalgic decors. Will be back and strongly recommend this place!!

So sad they closed this location. Now I have to drive to Orlando to get Jimmy Hula tacos.

First time here! Very good service & fast. The food was on point. Right across from the cvs on aloma & next to panera & Aloma bowling. I will definitely be back to try other stuff on the menu. So so so good!

I cannot recommend Jimmy Hula's highly enough! It's primarily burgers and tacos, but far from your typical burgers and taco place. Everything has sort of an island-y theme, from the decor to the food. For example, my go-to is the luau taco, which has teriyaki chicken and pineapple-mango pico. The flavors are absolutely incredible, and the pineapple-mango pico is so good that I usually get a large side of it to-go afterwards. Not gonna lie, these are my favorite tacos in the world.Everything is pretty much customizable. The tacos are sold as singles, so you can mix and match the type and amount to fit your hunger level and so you can try a variety. You can also choose your protein. The burgers can also be made as either single or double.The atmosphere is super relaxed and casual, as you'd expect with the island theme, and the staff are always really nice. Jimmy Hula was one of my most frequent choices when I lived in central Florida; now, it's one of the places I absolutely have to stop at whenever I'm in town. Do yourself a favor and try Jimmy Hula

Typically used to love a quick lunch at jimmy hulas. However, went today and their "famous" mojo fries were so drenched in lime that they were inedible. I asked if I could please get regular fries instead and was told that the manager said I cannot and would have to pay for new ones. I did pay $5 for fries that cannot be eaten but I have to purchase new ones? I have worked in countless of restaurants and never in my life have I told someone they will have to repurchase something. Also, an elderly couple sat after us and asked for something extra and was gladly brought it. Would love to see the manager tell them to repurchase something. Needless to say I will not be returning.

the wipe out tacos are to die for, idk what sauce they put in them but the combination w the fries, steak, and shrimp go crazy
