JB's Fish Camp & Seafood Restaurant

Hush puppies were awesome.Food seemed to be fairly basic fish house fare. Really nothing to write home aboutWhat was outstanding was the live music, and the soda had really nice carbonation.

Oysters are great, rum runner, great. Fried food all to much thick batter. French fries are frozen kind. A little high priced.2nd visit.... Cajun gater bites were loved.Drinks great and lots of choices.Ryan was a great waiter. Knowledgeable and friendly. The shrimp were lightly battered and delicious and they had waffle that were yummy. It's a fun place to be casual and enjoy good food.

This is a basic fish place - service can be spotty, you probably shouldnt ask for substitutions bc they aren't likely to make it on your plate, and ambiance is weathered old picnic tables. Paper plates and plastic cups. I'm guessing when the weather is nice that would kick the ambiance up a notch! I enjoy the shrimp - peel and eat, grilled, rock, etc. it's usually a good bet. I've had average fish like their grouper and flounder - prices are high for such average fish. My recommendation is to go on a beautiful day with a nice breeze, order a beer and shrimp - that would elevate this review to a 4!

This is a staple in New Smyrna Beach and every time we visit we go. They have the best peel and eat shrimp, hush puppies and tuna tips. The ambience is very laid back. The service is always great! They have live music on the weekends. I highly recommend.

This place is great! The food was phenomenal, some of the best shrimp I have had and definitely the best hush puppies I've had. The service was good as well and they have great outdoor seating. The indoor area looked nice as well and the bathrooms were clean.

This restaurant has won awards for its southern clam chowder, rich thick and tasty!! Also got the crabalicious sandwich, real crab and a lot of it. Our server was fun and quick. My companion got steamed clams and fried bologna and cheddar cheese sandwich. He loved it! They have entertainment at night plus Kayaks to rent.

Party of 6 and we were so excited to go back to JB's for dinner only to be disappointed. I had the King Crab which came out extremely cold and never got my fries. 2 people ordered grouper and it was prepared wrong. Service was very slow with our server stating they were really busy which we could see. Will not return.

This was the best experience we've had at JB's. We were a party of 9 and were seated right away in the perfect spot for our special needs grandson. The service was so amazing on every level. My daughter has Celiac so our server , Jennifer S., helped her pick the right food that wouldn't be cross-contaminated with gluten. Last time she ate there she got sick. She thought steamed shrimp would be safe, but discovered from Jenn, they also steam stuffed mushrooms in the same steamer. That's what made her sick the last time. She ordered blackened Mahi and Jennifer made sure they used a separate pan. It was a win win.Our food came out fast even though we were a large group.So impressed. Thank you Jennifer!

Service was incredible, the food was good. Everything I had was good, special callout to the Bloody Mary which was very tasty. Mahi was probably my second favorite. We sat outside on the covered deck and it's mid October. The sun was behind the clouds and the breeze was blowing and it couldn't have been a much better experience. This is a regular place for us when we come down here.

As usual we had us a great time. Rock shrimp on the menu which was a treat. We enjoyed a relaxing lunch and did shrimp, rock shrimp, hush puppies and of course, key lime pie. Gianna was super sweet and took perfect care of us. Beautiful sunny day made the visit perfect.
