After a long day dragging my butt around the Universal parks with the wife and kids this was the oasis in the desert I needed to sneak off to for a couple beers. The bartender was very friendly and fairly liberal with the pours. He offered park advice and kept me company while the wife snuck off to the smoke pit. When we return to the park we will be staying here again and will definitely take out post-park chill session at Jake's!

While we loved our stay at the resort, Jake's Bar really fell short especially in service. We waited over 15 minutes to be acknowledged at our table and over 25 to even get water. There was about 4-5 table in the entire restaurant so it was not busy at all.We started with Buffalo wings (which were amazing) and Caesar salad. Beware if you don't like horseradish because there is ALOT in the Caesar dressing it is so overpowering. The Brisket for 2 is a great deal and was delicious. Unfortunately, the lack of attention in service from "Lefty" as her name tag stated (because she never even told us her name) started us off very disappointed and continued throughout the meal.

Cezar salad was 3 unchopped leaves of romaine with 3 croutons for 18$ Steak was tiny for 50$ Love the resort but the food here was a waste of money. Sushi on resort was much better.

Staying at the Royal Pacific, we had dinner here one night. We split a double smash burger and poutine. It was good and way too much food. The atmosphere was clean and the waitstaff was attentive. Try the all American red lager.

Whatever you do get the buffalo chicken wrap with Blackened Salmon instead of chicken. No ranch dressing inside, instead add the sweet chili sauce. Oh my goodness!!!! This was beyond delicious! Trust this stranger on this one folks! Im ordering again before check out!

This hotel restaurant is in the Lowes Royal Pacific Hotel in Universal Studios. I dined here alone. I ordered their hamburger, which was made of beef brisket. I did not notice any difference in taste, but it was good. The motif was a version of an American bar in Paradise. I liked the decor.I would definitely come here just for the service. When you are in some captive restaurants, service can be an issue. The service was as good as any I have had anywhere.

We were staying at the Royal Pacific and had had a long park day without any real dinner plans so we decided to just try Jake's. We had heard mixed reviews from most of the restaurants at the resort but by far Jake's seemed like the most likely to come through. It felt more like a regular hotel restaurant than any type of really themed restaurant. Which was fine for us. We tried the pretzel rods to start, while my husband had the Aviator meal (which was HUGE) while I had the goat cheese flatbread. The starter was fantastic but I will say my husband probably enjoyed his meal more than I did. For a goat cheese flatbread my meal seemed to be lacking a serious amount of goat cheese. We likely wouldn't return here again when there are so many great options just minutes away at the city walk.

For a Hotel Restaurant - The food was really good! - Thank you for keeping things simple; - It makes it difficult to mess things up. Special "Shout Out" to our Gracious Bartender - "Stormy" - She was great. Thank you for suggesting that Mango Micro Brew Beer - It was delicious! Things can get busy! - Avoid the crowds and head for the Bar - You won't regret it. Chill Vibe! - Plenty of space at the Bar - so you can ditch the "Crowds" of Tourists - We were in town for a Conference - I think we visited this Bar x 3. Check out our pictures - Food was really good! - Get the Pretzels w/ Honey Mustard!

Good and friendly service. Fish was fried to perfection. Really crispy and flaky inside. Wasn't too fond of the coleslaw. Not too loud. Could hear others from the other side of the long table without yelling.

f you're staying at the Royal Pacific, Jake's American Bar might seem like a convenient option, but it falls short in many ways. Unfortunately, this feels like a "default" dining spot rather than a standout experience. The service was painfully slow--from being seated, to getting our food, to finally receiving the bill. It almost felt like an afterthought. The vibe of the restaurant is fun with big fans and was clean. As for the food, it was disappointing. We tried a variety of dishes--chicken wings, burgers, chicken strips, Caesar salad, and chicken noodle soup--but nothing stood out. The flavors were bland and uninspired, leaving us feeling like we could've had a better meal elsewhere. While the convenience is a plus if you're already at the resort, I probably wouldn't choose to eat here again. There are better options available nearby if you're willing to explore.
