Island Jam Caribbean Cuisine

I ordered the fried red snapper with red and beans, fried griot and fried akra and plantains through Uber Eats. This was not my first order but my first review. As previously, the red snapper though small (for $35) and rice and beans were delicious. The akra was very flavorful but not fried crispy like traditionally cooked. The griot was not good. The portion size was too small for ($15). It didn't taste like traditional griot (very bland) wasn't fried crispy and too many fatty pieces. I did like the piklez (pickle cabbage) it was a good rendition of the Haitian condiment.

I ordered the Oxtail Stew and I have to say, I was SHOCKED, but in a good way. I've only ever had oxtail stew prepared in the Jamaican way and a Cuban Rabo dish with red wine, but this was EXCEPTIONAL.It was so tasty, slightly sweet, slightly spicy, and definitely prepared with loved. I was so impressed.I'm not sure why this establishment doesn't have any other reviews, but based solely on the one dish I devoured, I highly RECOMMEND IT!

Not great ordered 2 meals must be a different person cooking now because this place was decent before . But ordered on Uber and threw all of this bs away. There was nothing but an over oiled mess delivered to us . Dinner Lalo with white rice and Turkey both were awful , without spice nor flavor not even the rice and beans tasted ok , like some young non experienced no spice having cook cooked it . Delivered This person Pa Gehn Menh . I'd leave it alone altogether . I will never again choose to do business with them
