Hokkaido Sushi & Teppan

A small location, with a few hibachi tables, and some small seating area for those who want to dine in but not have that hibachi experience. They have a great lunch special, my wife and I both got three sushi rolls for $15. Their selection of sushi options was pretty good. I enjoyed the spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, and spicy salmon. They had a good amount of fish filling, and wasn't too heavy on the rice outside. My wife liked her sushi, well enough, but she's not a fan of raw sushi. And they didn't have a selection of Cooked sushi that she was interested in.Service was fast, and the server was good. I would definitely recommend them - But can only speak to their sushi options at this point.

Our favorite habachi restaurant. The chefs are entertaining, their happy hour deals can't be beat, food is delicious.

A friend and I tried the Happy Hour menu, and it did not disappoint! * The sushi was absolute perfection--fresh and packed with flavor. * The Crab Rangoon was tasty, though a touch more sweetness would've made it even better. * The sauce? Just the right balance of flavors. * The rice and veggies with the hibachi-style dinner were also a hit!Though not pictured, the hibachi-style White Fish and NY Beef were just as delicious. Plus, the service was consistently good throughout our meal.Happy Hour runs from 4:30-6:30 every day, with all-day specials on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Definitely worth checking out!

Service was exceptional, and the rolls were tasty and fresh. The best one was the spicy yellowtail.

I've visited this restaurant numerous times. I've ate at the hibachi station as well as the quieter dining area. Both offer equal service. I've ordered to go as well as Uber eats and the quality is always the same, EXCELLENT!! This is delicious, quality food at a comparable cost. Plenty of parking and the customer service is always great.

The interior felt a bit stuffy and humid during the first half of our visit, with condensation on the table and very slippery floors. The space is divided into two sections: one for hibachi and the other featuring about ten tables for the regular menu. We stopped by during happy hour, which offered a good deal on sushi. The sushi itself was not bad for the price--decently sized rolls, well-cooked rice, and while the fish wasn't exceptional, it was still enjoyable. Our server was excellent--quick and friendly.

Great happy hour! Definitely recommend going for happy hour. Our food and beverages arrived promptly and accurately and with an amazing value. We can't wait to come back in the winter for some warm soup vibes!

I have to say that Hokkaido was not our first choice for our date night this evening. Our intent was to eat at Thai Basil before the owners retire, but we neglected to call first to see if they were open. FYI - the store is closed until after January 1st 2024. I am not sure of the final closing date, but it is sometime in January. Our second choice was Tomasino's just down the street; however, it was packed in there and we were on a 25-minute wait, so we decided on Hokkaido since it was just across the street. Upon arriving, we were greeted and seated promptly, other than Nancy and I, there was only one two-top in the dining room and a small group enjoying the traditional Teppanyaki, which looked splendid. Although we were seated quickly it took about 8-minutes before our server, Angel, stopped by to take our drink and food order. It looked like the Angel was in training or training a new staff member because a second server was tagging along through our dining experience. It took another 10-minutes before we received our drinks and while we were waiting, we noticed that a four top that came in after us received their meals before we got ours. I'm not sure what was taking so long because we only ordered 3 regular rolls and a seaweed salad to share. Additionally, while we were enjoying our meals a different server stopped by to exchange our soy sauce for a full container. We agreed, yet she did not provide us with a full container until after we finished our meals. Who does that?I have to say that the rolls that we ordered were excellent. I chose the Spicy Salmon Roll ($7), and Chicken Tempura Roll ($6). Nancy picked the California Roll ($5.50) and the Seaweed Salad ($5.50). The only downside is there was not enough pickled ginger or wasabi to go around. I would definitely come again just for the sushi. After reading review's form other reviewer's, it seems the food is where Hokkaido shines. The folks enjoying the traditional Teppanyaki really had a great time, so I might give that a try next time I'm in the area.Management really needs to keep the restroom in check. Currently it is in a bit of disarray with cleaning products spread around, and food and paper products sitting on the floor by the door. This could be a code violation, just saying.All-in-all I am a bit disappointed with our experience at Hokkaido. The food was excellent, but everything else was a bit lacking. I would give them a try again in the future but not sure if they would be the first place I would recommend to a friend.

We came here on a Thursday evening It wasn't really busy so we were seated quickly. And that's when the good service ended. Our server was teaching a new server. But it took a very long time to get our waters. And then it took longer for her to take our order. There was a couple that came in after us and for some reason they ended up getting their food before us. I ordered some seaweed salad which was delicious. Then we ordered three rolls. Everything tasted good.However they did not give you very much wasabi or ginger just a little dab. I guess you could have asked for more but we didn't. Looks like they also have an area where the chef cooks in front of you.There was one table of eight and he was cooking up a storm. Meal was pretty uneventful but I was happy to enjoy some good sushi at a reasonable price.

Awesome spot- it's our household go to. We're here at least once a week if not more.. the customer service is always on point, the food is amazing and it's always really clean and relaxing inside. You can eat in the dining room or hibachi table and it's great either way. They have weekday and weekend happy hours too with drinks and sushi included
