Am I at a Disney Park or Resort? Is this a bar for couples or singles? This Alice in Wonderland-themed bar left me as delightfully puzzled as Alice herself--perhaps that's exactly the point. The concept and stunning décor earn a solid 5 stars, but I'm knocking one off for the pricey cocktails (ranging from $16 to $20) and the service that could use a touch more finesse. Overall, definitely a must go if you're in downtown Orlando and looking to impress a visitor or just immerse yourself in a different place.

My partner and I made VIP reservations and took a couple of friends here. We went at around 5 on a Saturday. I had never been and made the reservation because I thought it would be busy. The reservation was $100. This only guarantees a seat. We get there and there were no other parties in the whole place, only a few at the bar. The host told us to go sit wherever and informed us there was no server so we would have to get our drinks and food from the bar. So a $100 VIP and we have to serve ourselves? Everything else was awesome. Atmosphere was very cool. Staff friendly. Drinks and food good. But, we ended up with a $200 tab on top of the $100 seat and serve yourself "VIP" experience.

As an avid tea drinker, I'm always looking for new tea experiences. When I saw that HighT was hosting a wicked inspired tea myself and a friend decided to check it out. Many know this location as a themed cocktail bar open in the evenings. During the weekends, they offer afternoon tea. Highly themed to Alice in Wonderland the bar offers multiple seating options although I could see larger groups having a hard time finding accommodations to sit. When making a reservations for tea, you do have the opportunity to add a mimosa package onto your tea experience. We chose not to, and we're seated on a section of the bar that did not appear to be serving alcohol as the other side of the bar was being served their mimosas and other theme drinks. We were greeted by "The Wizard" who's only real interaction with us was to ask us what table we are assigned to, and ensure that we made it to the table correctly. Outside of that we had buried little interaction with him the entire tea room experience. Our table was the first table once you walk into the entryway and in hindsight, I would've asked to be moved as it was heavy with foot traffic as Glinda and elphaba were posing in the main welcome area for photos with many who were there so it was very hard to carry on a conversation. A few moments after being seated, a server came around and asking if we would like to try the house blend of tea, which was the Queen's heart. A little tart and after 2 cups, I was done. They have a small selection of other teas that you can choose from including a standard black, an Earl gray, and two other flavored ones for this particular tea. It included a peach passion and a ginger tangerine. You can have a personal pot of tea if you would like to experience many teas or if everyone in your party is drinking the same tea you can opt for a pot of tea at your table. We opted to do this as we both want to try the peach passion. Which was delicious. The tray of goodies included small finger sandwiches, scones, a cupcake and macaroons. The finger sandwiches had very little filling which was a disappointment. The scones were OK. The cupcake tasted as if it were straight out of the box mix and the macaroons were OK, but they did taste processed to me. Overall, I think the concept of having tea on the weekends is good. I do think the execution needs work. Our server seemed to go missing after two cups of the house blend tea. While we chose not to add the mimosa package to our tea experience, it would have been nice to have been offered a menu of some sort of the theme cocktails we saw going out to other tables. It would've been a great upsell as I definitely appreciate a good themed cocktail and most likely would have purchased one or two. Alas, I put that on myself to have not asked the question to the staff. I would highly encourage if you choose to do this experience asking your server if that is an option if you're interested and choose not to do the mimosa package. The other concern I had was regarding the gentleman playing the wizard, while I do not expect Disney standards of entertainment, I did have an expectation that there would be more engagement with all of the characters and while Glinda and Elphaba stopped once at our table, the Wizard seemed aloof and at one point I over heard him telling another gentlemen (perhaps a character wrangler/guide) that he only had two hours left. Talk about theming ruined. I think I might enjoy this location better as the cocktail bar version vs tea.

Came for the Christmas themed pop-up bar and had a great time! There were an extreme amount of reservations, so it was a challenge getting a seat but luckily there was a spot available at the bar. Got a couple appetizers and they were cold. Definitely wouldn't get food here again. The prices are pretty high but I would say the quality of the cocktails was exceptional and so was the service. All in all wonderful experience and the bar was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Went this past weekend to try their winter in wonderland menu! While this place was super decorative and festive for the holidays it was also packed! We did the entrance fee ahead of time to get in to this event, but recommend upgrading for reserved seating to guarantee a seat. Patience was key and we waited a good 20-25 minutes to find a seat, but getting a bartender was another 15 minute wait. While I love the festive menu, I didn't think my drink of choice was worth the wait. I love highT, but I was ready to leave after such a long wait. I had their let it snow which was refreshing and sweet. Tons of other drinks to choose from and even some small bites. Definitely wish they had a grab and go section of the bar for all of those who were standing around to enjoy a drink and talk until seats opened up. Had we not done the entrance fee I would've left immediately, but I wanted to at least have one drink before going.

This was a really cool experience for the holidays. We did the High T Tea Party with Mrs. Claus. The Alice in Wonderland theme mixed with holiday decor was fun to observe. We made a reservation for the three of us. We were greeted by the Mad Hatter at the front door who lead us up a flight of stairs where the bar is. We were seated in the Absinthe booth which could easily fit 6 people. Our prepaid reservation comes with unlimited tea and a tray of hand sandwiches, desserts and pastries. Me and my husband had our own 3-tier offerings and our little one got her own. The sandwiches provided to us were a cranberry cream cheese croissant, turkey and strawberry waffles, pumpernickel turkey sandwich and egg salad sandwich. We had 4 macarons, 4 scones, and 3 cookies. We were able to order adult beverages. While we were happy to try their holiday libations we definitely wouldn't divulge in them again. Our little one enjoyed it and Mrs. Claus was really friendly and chatty. Next time we will try the other themed tea parties like the Grinch or Elf theme.

This place was unfortunately a big let down. We saw on social media how popular & festive it was and wanted to try some fun holiday drinks but I can confidently say that most of the things the lower reviewers keep stating, are true. First off, as an FYI, there is an admission fee and it only serves as a way in - not to be confused with a "reservation" or anything that assures you seating/service. Unless you're going solo, there is little to no chance you'll find seating with your group. It is VERY crowded. We reserved an earlier reservation at 5:30pm on a Sunday and even then it was packed. And to make matters worse, we also happened to go when a huge party reserved half the place. The party wasn't even sitting in most of their space and the only seating left was outside where they didn't even turn the lights on. Even with that, we were willing to give it a shot by at least ordering drinks but the lack of structure/order became even more evident when flagging down a waiter/bartender was impossible. They're not attentive.Ambiance wise, I give this place an extra star because it was decorated well for Christmas and they did have various festive options on their menu. I can't speak on the actual taste or quality of anything because we left once we couldn't find anyone to take our order.I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt but the experiences seem to be a pattern across many reviewers, at least this time of year. May be worth a shot during another time of year but this first impression, does not make me want to come back.

I didn't enjoy my time during the Christmas HightT. We waited outside for 30 minutes as we waited for the place to find our reservation since it couldn't be found. We were also told they were not expecting us at all even though I showed the receipt for the booking for Afternoon Tea. The staff was less than attentive during our afternoon tea. The gentleman playing Santa was very nice, but my friend and I were unable to hold a long conversation since he kept coming over to talk to us. I eventually started ignoring him, but my friend was trying to be nice to him. It took over an hour after sitting down to get our food for the HighT experience. We did have someone in the party (party of two) with an allergy to Strawberries and Mangoes, but they were accommodating to the allergy. They only had four flavors of tea and it took about 20 minutes to get each so I only had two types of tea during the experience.I won't be returning to this Hight-T experience.

I've been excited to visit HighT in Downtown Orlando since they opened, drawn in by their beautiful Alice in Wonderland-inspired decor that I'd seen on Instagram. So, when my friends and I planned a holiday outing, this whimsical tea room was at the top of our list. The Pros:Let me start by saying the decor is stunning. Every corner is thoughtfully designed, from charming little vignettes to hidden rooms upstairs. The holiday decorations add an extra layer of magic, and the attention to detail truly makes the space feel like a fairytale. The Mad Hatter character was also a standout--he stopped by our table to perform magic tricks and added so much fun to the experience. The vegan afternoon tea sandwiches I ordered were delicious, with creative takes like a vegan Monte Cristo and a tofu-based "egg salad" that were flavorful and filling. The tea itself was also quite good, and we left with plenty of fun photos and good memories. The Cons:Unfortunately, the experience wasn't without hiccups. First, their reservation policy is extremely rigid: reservations are non-refundable and unchangeable under any circumstances. When one of our party members fell ill, we tried repeatedly to contact HighT by phone and Instagram, but received no response. Their phone system doesn't seem to connect to a live person or even allow for voicemails, which was frustrating.Once we arrived, service was quite slow. We waited about 45 minutes before our food arrived, which seems to be the norm here since many guests are busy taking photos--but still, that's a long time to wait. For my vegan afternoon tea option (an additional $5 charge), I was handed a menu that listed items like vegan muffins with clotted cream and jam as part of the second tier, but those items never arrived. And for the dessert tier, I received an assortment of cookies and a couple of meringues, which felt very underwhelming compared to the desserts my friends received with their regular afternoon teas. Nothing was mentioned by the staff about the missing items, and it left me feeling a bit shortchanged. The Verdict:While HighT is undoubtedly beautiful and magical, there were enough hiccups to make me hesitant to return, especially given the high price point. The rigid reservation policy, lack of communication options, and some inconsistencies with the vegan menu took away from the experience. That said, if you're looking for a gorgeous spot to snap photos and soak in a festive atmosphere, it's worth trying at least once--but go in with clear expectations.

10/10 for the theme decor! This bar is so much fun and they put so much into the details! On the average day it's an Alice & Wonderland theme but goes spooky for Halloween and then festive for Christmas. The drinks are top tier and go with the theme of the day!Service is great and try to catch a show there it's such a treat!
