Hicks Seafood House of Apopka

It's great to have a good seafood restaurant in Apopka. The service is fast and friendly. Amy was attentive and efficient. Most of the seafood is fried, but there are a few steamed options, which is good because the breading on the fried seafood is a little heavy. I love that they have conch. I also wish they offered some type of side salad to offset the heavy fried food. Everything was delicious, and the portions were huge. Hopefully, they will begin to offer more options that aren't fried. But we will definitely be back.

Everything, I mean everything was delicious. Catfish nuggets are more like catfish strips (larger than nuggets) and the seasoning on them was off the chain! Service - called in my order and it was ready and with a smile when I arrived. Definitely going back.

I've been twice. Nicely decorated and clean. Stocked bar as well. Food has great flavor and temperature. Menu options are great.

The food was fresh and very good I had three Southern fried fish and shrimp with cold slaw and fries. The dish comes with potatoes and corn but not so good to me so I substituted. Mr Willams is doing a great job. The service was very good and fast The ambiance was clean and quaint. About our fourth visit happy happy.

Cute place with amazing fried shrimp! The lightly breaded garlic shrimp was my favorite.

The food here is amazing!!! The fried garlic shrimp is the best I've ever had!!! The service is amazing. It's my new go to place for shrimp and crab.

Like many, this restaurant used to be a fave but lately quality has gone down. Called in an order for pickup and when I got home I was highly disappointed. Ordered the same combo I usually order, catfish and shrimp with potatoes and corn. The corn was overcooked and hush puppies were undercooked. The POTATOES WERE NOT COOKED AT ALL! THEY WERE LITERALLY CUT IN PIECES, SEASONED AND SOLD! Tried to call and let them know, they put me on hold and never came back and sent my calls to voicemail. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Great food and service. Very clean as I ate dining in. Waitress was very friendly and attentive.

We saw the excellent reviews and had to try this place. I'm glad we did! Everyone really enjoyed the food. The service was excellent, as well.We love locally owned places, and this place is really worth a visit. Hope they add a few kid friendly dishes, but that's being picky, I know.They have a few glitches to work on, but off to a great start! By the way, conch fritters are the best around.

Have dined here four or five times and every single time everything is delicious! Tonight was superb! 10 out of 10!
