Great neighborhood bakery.. Under new ownership, but acquired the recipes from previous owner of the bakery items. Added Turkish pastries which are fantastic.Hospitality is a 10, brought out my Turkish coffee on authentic platter and tasted great.

First the bakery has been bought by a new owner. They now go by Turquoise. The new owners are very nice. The atmosphere is very quiet. Soft music is playing. They have a menu on display outside and as soon as you walk in to the bakery, it was very clean and dimly lit. Overall pleasant experience, I've purchased the spinach feta pastry. The pastries crust was very buttery and flaky. The spinach was fresh to taste the garlic. I feel like I tasted a hint of lemon, but it was very good. They also have other pastries available for purchase as well as desserts I also purchased an eclair And the custard in the middle is to die for.

Every aspect of this place is solid 5 stars. Taste of food is spectacular, sandwiches are made fresh, generous portions and are delicious. Pastries are top of the line, texture and flavor. Deserts are text book reference. Food quality is consistent and never fluctuated for as far as we started going there 7 years ago. Coffee is good quality as well

Amazing service. The staff are incredibly friendly and the food is delicious. Many varieties of cheesecake and other home made deserts.The restaurant is very clean, and there are outdoor seating options as well.

OMG OMG OMG OMG. That's all I could keep saying with every bite. This is the best breakfast place I have ever been to in 30 years. Everything is good. And you cannot compete with the prices (I also live in San Francisco so the prices seem ridiculously low to me).Eat here. You will not regret it.

The food is amazing from here! Great quality produce and fresh made bread! The staff are friendly and the space is quaint. An ideal cafe for a Sunday morning!

Homemade breads, cheesecakes, Hungarian chili with cheese and mouthwatering sandwiches of European decent! We could not find one thing to complain about!The entire staff was welcoming and helpful in recommendations and the chef came out to check our satisfaction with our meal. Exceptional bread made their sandwiches even more special. We bought a loaf to take home. Traffic at lunch was brisk and the pastries in the cold case were flying out the door. Lovely, spotless and such a treat from theFast food usuals! Well Done. Well done!

Back again and this time my dad ordered the Greek omelette. It was an explosion of flavors. He loved it and we will be back tomorrow. You must try their berry cheesecake, it is divine! The almost lattes are made to perfection. If you want to try a yummy place that is quick and full of flavor stop by. We always come in when we are in the are and we are from Naples!

Once and a while you come across a real gem and Herbert's Bistro is just such a place. The Hungarian Hostess is definitely from the old country, and leaves you feeling like you're her only customer. Besides that the food is incredible. Pastries are fresh homemade every morning. Enjoy with a Latte, cappuccino or espresso and start the day right.
