Goodrich Seafood & Oyster House

What a fantastic seafood and more place! The view was fabulous and the fried oyster were amazing not to mention the perfectly cooked fish strips! I recommend this place!

Unlike other Floridana fish campy waterfront dives, they've become a favorite with us because they've not only been consistently delicious but also reasonably priced in a time when so many aren't. I mean, they make it worth the drive on out and whoever they've got frying the fish, keep em'. Whoever's a guru.It's not just that, though. Everyone's always very friendly and nice. Love everything about them. That Panko fresh fish and chowda', Goddamned. Unreal tomatoes, not just the fried green ones but the locally grown thick cut tomato side will have you rethinking garden fresh tomatoes and setting up your own garden. Listen to the land, yo! Desserts are reasonably priced enough to get one or two, and I say, "I do". I've had every one of them at least twice. Yumnn. Plenty of specials on the board. I see they sometimes do all you can eat. Solid drinks that don't break the bank will have you revisiting them and spending more.Inside can be sort of stuffy but there's always room outside on the Indian River, least all the times we've been. Dad and Little Honey like inside. Me, not so much.I made the mistake of skipping them over the years over some older reviews. Don't.

Very old school Florida Restaurant on the water. I had the shrimp and it came with 2 sides, 12 big shrimp, chowder and hush puppies for 16.99. I could not even finish it all. I got the collards and sliced tomatoes as my sides, yummy. They serve draft beer in a ball jar (cute) and we.also got the smoked fish dip yummy! If you are anywhere near this place, go eat here because you will not be dissatisfied at all.

I don't know if I'd call it a hole in the wall restaurant as it's kind of out in open and it's fairly large when you include the outdoor seating area. It's a little off the beaten path somewhere off 95 between Titusville and New Smyrna.It was pretty busy on a Saturday around 3p which was a bit surprising. Maybe it was because everyone was dining inside due to the weather or it being over the holidays.Almost every meal comes with their Fish Chowder which was just OK. It was a tomato-y fishy soup with some pretty overcooked pieces of fish in it. They wouldn't let you sub another item so I tried it and it wasn't bad. It reminded me of the "squid sauce" I grew up eating on Christmas Eve in an Italian household.The Crab Stuffed Flounder was pretty darn good. I think it was 25 bucks and was two pieces of flounder with a resized and pan seared crab cake inside. Wow, what a good dish. It comes with that fish chowder, 2 sides and 2 hushpuppies. Normally, I hate hushpuppies and these did not change my mind. To each their own though.Others had the burger (not shown but overcooked), a pick 2 fried platter which was delicious and a fried green tomato BLT which was also pretty tasty. There was way too much fish chowder and hush puppies though. I wanted to try some grilled oysters but we had way too much food as it was.Service was just OK as our waitress disappeared for a while and we had some empty drink glasses on the table. She was super friendly though, but just absent.If I was in the area, I'd return as they have some great specials like AYCE shrimp and other things on different days of the week. Definitely a locals spot and crowded for a reason. It was cold on the day we went, but on a nice day, the patio would be awesome to sit and enjoy a delicious seafood meal, and toss the hushpuppies to the birds!

The service was great, the view was excellent and the blackened chicken tacos were some of the best I've ever had. This is definitely a hidden gem.

The cajun crab & corn bisque was the best soup I have ever encountered :)I had the oysters as well which were delicious and my one year old loved the hush puppies, apple sauce, and blacked eye peas. Great food & great view.

Great local fish house that is right on the water near an RV park and beach rentals. Plenty of options to choose from and portion sizes match the price of the meal. Ambiance is casual with choice to dine inside or outside on deck patio. Staff is super friendly, attentive and courteous. Big Fan!

The bang bang shrimp taco was pretty good. The service was decent. The ambience (outside, river side) was amazing.

First off the young hostess was not happy when we said we wanted to eat outside. She rolled her eyes and said she would see if there were any tables. She came in after being gone for a while and said she was cleaning a table. A few minutes later another girl said she needed to take our name, I said the other girl was cleaning a table for us and she said, " The kitchen is backed up and we have to wait 10 minutes to seat anyone." So we gave our name and my husband suggested us sitting at a table and having drinks while waiting but she said we couldn't. While waiting to be seated a table from the outside left because they had been waiting for some time. We heard a table inside complaining because they hadn't received their food. After waiting way past our ten minutes to be seated, we left!! We will never return!! I don't understand why restaurants leave you standing when they have empty seats!! That always irritates me!! To me it's better to be seated and let me know it's going to be awhile because the kitchen is behind!! We get to have drinks and visit while we wait and the restaurant makes more money!!!! Like I said we will never return!! Not a good first impression!!! Where was the manager?!?!
