Gateway to India

I am 100% obsessed with Indian food and I'm so excited that this place is right down the street from my house. Although they're on the expensive side, it definitely makes sense because the quality of food is just that great! Gateway to India has traditional Indian food, such as naan, butter chicken and tandoori chicken. And if you have a picky eater with you, they do have chicken tenders and fries.They offer daily lunch and dinner specials and they're open late. Stop by if you're in the area, before I eat everything up!

Outstanding food on October 25th 2024 last Friday ...Entire family loved all the good food.....should not mention one particular.. they make really well.Outstanding Team Manager Shivani Kapoor and her team manages really well. I know Paul Kappoor for 18 years- Masters Chef- super smart, quick...highly capable entrepreneur.Other Good people i should not forget is RoopaSri - very nice, polite, intelligent, quick and absorbs every thing in one go..such a young age or young ...met her first time.. Amazing.Put a Kudos to them and recommend Gateway to India in Longwood, always.Highlly reasonable also according to my family:)))))since i dont pay too much attention i guess. Updating to 5 stars, we order from this place twice a month at least or my wife bribes me with take out from here often lol. They've consistently provided a delicious meal and recently i've been trying other menu items. The Lamb Tikka is fantasticccc!

This is a carry out experience review. Ordered two mains: biryani with lamb, chicken and shrimp. I ordered mild-medium but it was still a bit on the spicy side. Note that this is my first time going to Gateway so I'm learning their spice levels. I also did the tandoori chicken. I sort of liked it. I have had it elsewhere where it was better in my opinion.The staff were truly lovely. I do plan on going for a dine in experience soon. I anticipate it will be a terrific time.

Hands down some of the best Indian food I've had (although, I've literally never been to India, so you know..). Anyway, although the building itself is not the most appealing, the food is to die for. The veggie korma lunch special was the bomb. Perfectly seasoned and the spice level was wonderful. The gulab topped it off and even though I only had two, I really was fighting not to order more. Do yourself a favor if you're in the Longwood area and travel to the Gateway!

This is a great little place for authentic Indian food . It hits the spot just right . The flavors are amazing , the prices are very good . Pretty decent service too. Overall very good.

Such a good quick easy place for sit down or take out meals. Good portions of food, we order mild and it was perfect flavoring. Clean atmosphere with plenty of parking. Highly recommend if you want authentic Indian. Server was helpful with recommendations and going through the menu. Loved it! We will definitely be back.

Server was not welcoming. Vegetable Biryani tasted like it was made with frozen vegetables and was very bland.

This is the best Indian food I have ever had. I travel for a living, and this is hands down the best Indian food. The portions are great, the ambiance is so comforting and the service is amazing every time. I've put so many of my family members on to this place and we LOVE IT.

We found this great Indian place totally by chance when the Thai place we usually go to said their kitchen was no longer serving. We were greeted very warmly by 2 waitresses who gladly answered our questions in familiarizing ourselves with their dishes. My husband right away commented how good the everything smelled just from entering the restaurant. Their menu was plenty varied especially an entire page of Vegetarian items from which I could eat. The portions were just the right size to satisfy and were delicious. I had their Malai Kofta which was mild and creamy and my husband had the chicken Saag (spinach).I also recommend their papadam and vegetarian appetizers. We plan to return and bring family. Excellent food.
