Amazing food & service - the breading on the flounder, clams & shrimp was so light and crispy.

Not for me- if you like oysters in a condemned building by the side of the road with strangers in white paneled vans you'll LIVE. It's giving a case of salmonella by aerosol exposure. note-I was dragged here by my ex whose more of a brother, and he loves these kinds of places. Just not for me.

One of our favorite places to eat. It's so fun to sit at the oyster bar and have conversations with other patrons. Drew is so friendly. The charbroiled oysters are so good. It was my first time having the frog legs and they were so tender.

Stopped by for some fresh stone crab claws on my recent hometown visit. The owners are friendly and the food is delish. Old skool atmosphere, I've been sitting at that old back bar for 40+ years enjoying fresh seafood with my family. Never disappoints.

On my visit to Orlando, I decided to try my luck and visit Gary's Oyster House based on the reviews. The drive was about 25 min from my hotel and was off a 2 lane highway. The building initially said I'm going to have some of the best food of my life with excellent service or this could be a mistake. Gary's did not disappoint! The service was excellent. The food was fresh and made to order. The best part of the food experience was having the son of the owner present and sharing the history of the restaurant. If you're ever in the Orlando/Davenport area this place is a must!

Let me tell you! I have found a new oyster spot in Florida. It literally is in the middle of no where which is great! Hardly any traffic. I was in Orlando and was craving oysters and googled the closest spot. Gary's was on top of the list. It's 25 minutes from Orlando and was worth the drive. Looks can be deceiving. As a matter a fact, it's a good thing I got there when I did, because that place fills up quick. Apps, one of the best in taste and size I have ever had, were the dozen oysters. Had that with a glass of Pinot. Ordered the Broiled seafood platter. Snow crab legs, scallops, shrimp, and flounder. For sides, baby potatoes and the BEST hush puppies I have ever had. The only minor issue was that the crab legs were a tad salty. My server, I believe was Hannah and she was amazing from finish to end. This is a really a hidden gem.

Outstanding fresh oysters at the best price. Honestly I'm not sure they can be beat. Get there early because it packs up very fast. Definitely our go to local oyster bar. We also go for the frog legs, they are meaty and delicious. We like to try something new each time and haven't been disappointed yet. Great job Gary's!!

This is a real throwback! Not a fish camp (technically because it is not on water!) but definitely a roadhouse. There is a big raw bar if that's your thing. Everything else is fried to perfection. When we visit the area we try to hit Gary's a time or 2. Come as you are....definitely not a place you dress for. Ambiance is friendly good old fried food joint.

Their food is fresh and fantastic. The wait staff is very attentive. We had delicious stuffed shrimp, conch fritters and wonderful cheesecake and key lime pie. Definitely going back!
