I've been wanting to try this location for years and glad I finally got to try it. The restaurant is beautiful and wait is not too long. Restaurant was lonely at the time so no need to make a reservation. We got seated near the bar we did notice that there wasn't much wait staff and the bartender was the one having to come take our order. Service was okay. The menu is a bit limited in my opinion in case you come with friends who want fajitas you won't find that here at lunch but the food is delicious. I tried the following:Appetizer- Chicken Flautas-- good for only 1-2 peopleDrinks- Agua de Jamaica great for hot daysSides: Esquites were really delicious

The first time we went to Frontera Cocina, we were so excited because the food was excellent, and we absolutely loved their unique take on an espresso martini, made with mezcal tequila. It was unlike anything we had tasted before--phenomenal. The food was also delicious, and our server was very helpful, making for a great experience. However, this time around, the experience was disappointing. The drinks were just mediocre, and they no longer had the item on the menu that we specifically went back for. Given the high prices and the fact that we couldn't even order what we had originally loved, I don't see myself returning. While the food was still good, it just wasn't the same, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to our first experience.

An important reason for me to try this restaurant is that I am a fan of Frontera Grill and XOCO (both in Chicago), and of course a fan of Rick Bayless. So I had dinner in this restaurant after traveling around the Disney resort. The restaurant is in the middle of Disney Spring, with beautiful decor inside and a patio next to a river in Disney Spring. I ordered Toasted Pumpkin Seed "Hummus" (actually Sikil P'ak?) sub chips for tortilla and Red-chile Duck Carnitas Enchiladas. Both dishes were delicious. I especially like how spicy they were -- more spicy than most Mexican restaurants in U.S. Besides, the sauce of enchiladas was very rich and thick, the salsa was fresh, and the jicama for "hummus" was juicy and sweet. I also tried making tacos with the hummus and it was pretty good! In general the restaurant can be viewed as a more casual version of Frontera Grill with a smaller menu. In fact I think the food in both restaurant have similar flavor and quality. The dishes in Frontera Grill have more variety and creativity. In this restaurant, however, you experience a happy, friendly, children-oriented vibe. For example, when the kid sitting at the table next to me was slicing a birthday cake, all the staff stopped the work and sang "happy birthday to you" to him/her. Those who love Mexican food should not miss this spot while having fun in Disney resort!

Upon arrival i was greeted by a host and seated in a vibrant colorful room near a window. The atmosphere takes you somewhere beyond the Disney Springs vibe. Yes, transported to await a flavorful food adventure. Granted, this was a small meal, but I have tried other dishes here and, like the majority of visits, it did not disappoint. I started with the basic chips and salsa. At this writing it is $6 for plentiful chips and 2 dips - Smoky chipotle and herby salsa verde. My favorite is the herby salsa verde. The salsa & verde portions are small, but flavorful. I only wish there was more salsa to match the chips. So to the restaurant- do not reduce amount of the chips, but consider allowing a second serving of the salsa included in the cost. If this is the case, have the server mention it. The 2nd and last dish I got on this small bite venture was the flautas. Described on the menu, "Chipotle Chicken Flautas Crispy chipotle chicken tortilla flautas, Chihuahua cheese, red garlicky beans, roasted tomatillo-avocado salsa, garnished with crema, Cotija cheese, fresh herbs (contains dairy pork)," it was all this and more. Very flavorful, plenty to eat or share with 3 flautas and the sauce. Thinking about it makes my mouth water, just want another order, now! It's that perfect bite with sauce that's memorable. A must for foodies who love the ingredients. I will most assuredly be back to this restaurant with family and friends. Price is what it is for a restaurant at Disney Springs.. Do you get your monies worth in flavor - YES. Bon Appetit!

I booked this Disney Springs restaurant weeks in advance, knowing how quickly Disney-related eateries fill up. Reservations are a must! On the day of my visit, I ran into every possible obstacle: nightmare traffic, a torrential downpour, and despite leaving an hour early for what should've been a 15-minute drive, I ended up arriving 20 minutes late. Thankfully, I was able to call the host stand directly through a reminder notification (+1 star for this feature) to explain my situation. To my surprise and relief, the host was incredibly understanding--even with the place completely booked and other guests being turned away.I finally arrived, drenched to the bone--think squeaky shoes-level drenched--and the staff was amazing from start to finish. I was seated quickly at a fantastic table by a stunning floor-to-ceiling window. As an unexpected bonus (+1 star for this), there was a nearby outlet where I could charge my phone, which was down to 10%. Pro tip: a day at Disney will drain both your energy and your phone battery.I already knew what I wanted to order, so I placed it immediately--a huge relief since I hadn't eaten in over eight hours after landing in Orlando that morning. I went with the carne asada tacos, which were flavorful and delicious but not quite as filling as I'd hoped. Adding rice would've been a great touch. In hindsight, I wish I'd ordered the carne asada entrée instead. For dessert, I tried the Cuatro Leches cake. The cake itself was moist and perfectly balanced--not too sweet--but the lime zest and stale toasted coconut detracted from what could've been an outstanding dessert. The service, however, was impeccable. My waiter was attentive, friendly, and made sure my drink stayed full throughout the meal. Seriously, I couldn't have asked for better service. The downsides? The tables are very close together, so it can get quite loud. On the bright side, I noticed they don't include taxes when pre-calculating tip suggestions--a small but thoughtful detail I really appreciated.Overall, this restaurant went above and beyond to save what could've been a miserable day. From the accommodating host to the amazing service, they truly turned things around for me. I'd absolutely recommend it!

Beautifully decorated restaurant - lots of bright and beautiful colors. Our server was fantastic. She recommended great dishes and even helped us with some options for a picky eater in our group. Cocktail menu was extensive and creative. We split the loaded nachos. I'm not usually a fan of guacamole but even I liked it! Everyone enjoyed their main courses. My husband had the duck enchiladas, I had the chicken enchiladas, and our oldest had carnitas. Our two youngest ate off the kids meals and enjoyed their quesadillas and shredded chicken. Food was well seasoned, portions were perfect. Don't skip on the side of potatoes - delicious!Only drawback is that it felt very rushed. I would've liked to get the horchata cocktail after dinner but they seemed to turn over tables quickly so I missed out. Other than that we enjoyed it and would go back if visiting again!

What a great meal!!! Seriously don't think twice about it. The drinks, food, and service are incredible. We were a party of 11 and they were very accommodating. I know large parties can be a pain but they didn't skip a beat. Kid friendly too!

We met up with our friends and their kids at Frontera Cocina at Disney Springs and had a great meal from start to finish. We made a reservation given we had a party of eight and the hostess sat us down right at the time of our reservation. Our server was friendly and attentive and even though the restaurant was busy was the perfect balance of helpful in terms of checking in with us but also relaxed enough to not make it feel rushed especially since we wanted to chat with our friends whom we haven't seen in a while. We started out with the chips and salsa and chips and guacamole to share at the table and both were dynamite. Noticing there was still salsa and guacamole left after the crew scarfed down the first batch of chips, our waiter brought over another round of chips to finish up with.I opted for the Guacamole Cobb salad and added carne asada to it; an excellent choice. Nice portion and fresh ingredients made this a real winner. The carnitas and creamy chicken enchiladas were fan favorites at the table, as well, and everyone raved about their food selections.Even with the Disney markup that is too be expected, the prices seemed reasonable for the amount and quality of food received and I'd definitely check out Frontera Cocina again when back at Disney Springs!

This is our favorite place to eat when we're in Orlando! Food and drinks are always remarkable and the service exceptional. Uriel made our experience so much fun last night - we found ourselves wondering if we can rearrange plans on our short vacation to return here for another meal!
