Terrible , terrible , terrible.... From the moment you walk in you are not even greeted, The two ladies attending they look at you like why you even here , ask them how we order and they just pointed at the stuff in the hot bar without any explanation.Food was horrible , don't waste your money here , it's totally with no flavor and blend ...

The food at this Restaurant is extremely expensive! For what it is. They charge you $6.00 for a small piece of fried cheese and the food is extremely dry. My husband is from Nicaragua and this food should be authentic but it's not

I wish I could give this place a better rating. I wanted to like it but, unfortunately, it's not very good. To begin with, the food is kept warm under lamps rather than made fresh, which was unexpected and off putting right from the start. Secondly, the employees are not very helpful or attentive. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the old isn't great. I had tajadas which lacked flavor, as did the accompanying ensalada. I also had the quest frito which was flavorful but not warm and melty enough as, I previously mentioned, the food is kept under warming lamps. The one thing that did taste exactly as it's supposed to was the cacao drink, it was truly delectable! Overall, though, I didn't have a great experience and wouldn't recommend Fritanga La Nueva.

Coming from Los Angeles and my family culture is Nicaraguense I feel so much at home coming here. It's been a long search looking for something that describes home. After speaking to another Nicaraguan in Kissimmee he recommended me this place. I FREAKING LOVE IT! Reminds me so much of my mother's country. Nicaragua Managua. I had shredded beef which was soft and tender. Full of flavor. I also had chancho pollo (fried chicken). Gallo Pinto : black beans and white rice mixed together & of course platano maduro!! Seriously, I am in heaven. I wanted to buy more food but I have to pace myself. This place is only 12 mins away from where I live and I promised myself to go back and try other things on the menu like the Salpicon. Anyone who is interested in eating Nicaraguan food this is the place to go. From one Nicaraguan to another.... Salud!

One word: SABOR! (Flavor)Eating here makes me want to visit Nicaragua. I think they have the best roasted chicken in town! I also love their carne asada. So much so, that now if I go to a steak house and spend $30+ on a steak, I'm so disappointed because I know I could get the most flavorful carne asada at Fritanga La Nueva for half the price! The portions here are big. I usually can make two meals out of it. I absolutely love their soups too. Sometimes it's chicken, sometimes beef, and they put everything from potatoes, carrots, corn, and some other root vegetables that I'm not even familiar with but that are all so delicious. You get it with a side, and I highly recommend getting their homemade tortillas! If I'm feeling under the weather at all, this is my go to place for soup. I wish I knew how to cook like they do!The darker rice they have is gallo pinto, or they have white rice with black beans (arroz blanco con gandules). I usually get maduros as my side, but the fried cheese (Queso frito) and plantain chips (tajadas) are also favorites. Pretty much any pork or beef dish they have is delicious! I usually just point to whatever looks the freshest and I'm never disappointed. They offer you a salad with it which I usually pass on, it's more of a local in the know flavor I think. I always get their hot sauce (picante) with my carne asada. It's chopped peppers and onions with a vinegar style sauce and it's so good, they even sell it on its own. This place is actually a sister restaurant to Areperia La Nueva, which has Venezuelan style arepas and other food and is open late. They're both located in a shopping plaza off of Semoran right between Colonial and the 408, near a marathon gas station. Pro tip: the parking lot of the shopping plaza has a fresh coconut truck that will cut them open and stick a straw in them for you! Best electrolyte ever. & they also have sold fresh sugar cane on occasion! But if you're looking for something sweet at Fritanga La Nueva, try the rice pudding (arroz con leche)! You may not speak Spanish but that's ok just walk in point to what you want and enjoy some of the best Latin American food in town!

The food is one of the best I've tried, since I lived in Miami. For it to be the only Fritanga in Orlando, the service is like being back in Miami, and enjoying my roots. The restaurant is super clean, and well maintained.

Mi esposo ordenó una sopa de res y yo una orden de gallopinto con tajadas y queso frito. Todo estaba muy rico con un sabor muy casero y los precios muy razonables. Los frescos son muy sabrosos también cacao y chía con tamarindo.

Groceries are great, somebody needs to teach the cook to make galloPinto, it tastes like nothing! Disappointed! I've been many x and always spend $100 and some each time. Enchiladas, nice! Shredded beef, nice! Chancho/puerco asado, nope! Small portion and dry! You can get some good food!

I don't know what happen but this place is not the same it was in 2020. I just went yesterday for a carne asada with gallo pinto and queso frito. I added manduros and an extra cheese. And I paid $26 for it! I did not see when the lady put the carne asada in the plate because I was tending my baby. When I got I got home, which is an hour away, there was only one piece of lousy carne! I even went a month ago and wanted to throw my food in the trash from how horrible the food taste. They need to get their act together. I don't give a damn if they are the only fritanga. I'm about to tell my mom to come open a spot because this is shameful!
