Friendly Confines

I travel quite frequently for my work and when on the road; I stop in at many local restaurants and sports bars, to try the local food fare and just take in some relaxation. Yesterday, I heard about Friendly Confines in Winter Park, apparently they own others in the area...fast forward soon in this review....The menu was vast and I actually had a hard time picking what to get, since it was lunchtime; I went to the lighter side and went with a Blackened Shrimp Greek Salad...holy cow! When the salad arrived it was massive and full of shrimp and all kinds of goodies like peppers, onions, feta, tomatoes, olives, cucumbers and the dressing was amazing, see the pic! By far, one of the best salads I have had and I could not come close to finishing it...my bartender Anna Lee was awesome and I watched the owner and manager constantly working the floor and talking to guests, this place is a must! Now, after lunch I was headed to Lake Mary and Anna Lee told me to check out their other location there, what a coincidence...my first thought was, I'm trying one of the other items I didn't get to try at Winter Park...I got to the Lake Mary location close to 7! They were actually about to have a Free Movie Trivie game featuring Ferris Bueller and Weird Science...well, I love those movies and I said put me in Coach! So, I grabbed a seat and was greeted by two Kelly's working the bar! I immediately ordered the Italian Beef w/ Mozz and an ice cold beer..they knocked that Sandwhich out of the park! It too was huge and delicious! I get all of this and play a super fun game while eating. Folks, take the time to visit either Friendly Confines in Winter Park or Lake Mary, if you are ever near them. If on a Thursday, definitely go play that Free Movie Trivia game Reel Genius, it was so much fun....both locations host that game on Thursdays at 7!

Not so friendly Confines! Walked in and out after sitting at the bar for like five minutes with three waitresses standing right in front of me. Now, I saw they saw me but for whatever reason they didn't acknowledge me at all. Not until I got up and was on my way out, at least.Though they should, they don't get slapped with a one for that @#$! because I happened to carry a hefty bar tab with them back in the day at the old Waterford Lakes location. I couldn't do another free shot of Jager or listen to so much Skah ever again. Ever...but thanks to bar tab bingo, I didn't pick up a check on a Thursday night at that place for years! I gamed that bingo like Donkey Kong. Was a fun run too, if it weren't for that epic bar brawl ending it all.Anyway, I haven't been to any Friendly Confines ever since and I guess this was the Universe's way of saying stay out, you've already had way too much fun with them.

KUDOS to Abby for providing supreme quality customer service ! Thank God for Friendly Confines! I ordered the soup of the day and Brownie Sundae, and it was out of this ! I love jamming to the 1980s music, and the ambiance is upbeat! I highly recommend all to come and visit to support this local business here!

It's aight to me. It's Larger inside than what it seems with ample outdoor seating.. Lots of tv's for live games and stuff. We wanted to try it out as it was one of the only places near the house that we haven't tried yet. You should try it also.

We had a great time!We ended up here randomly and it didn't disappoint.I LOVED the loaded friesIt happened to be a "build your own burger Wednesday" so snagged that for only $8It was also trivia night so that was fun.The service was great, the vibe was fun and it was PACKED!Lots of parking !

Nice chill bar with inexpensive food. I prefer to go during the lunch happy hour and get the .90c claws. Sweet Tai Chilli claws are delicious and service has been good/quick lately.

Always drove by this place in Lake Mary and finally gave it a try -- and it did not disappoint! For a chain company, it's the perfect place to sit back and relax to start or end your day! I had a couple of Kona beers and ordered a 6 piece "claws," which are basically boneless chicken tenders (garlic teriyaki). It was delicious and you can mix any kind of sauces together to make it your own!I'd like to personally thank Britney, my bartender who made sure I was well taken care of and always checked up on me. I came here solo after doing errands and while my boyfriend was at work. She kept me company and made sure I wasn't feeling too alone. Great customer service! Thank you Britney for being so great! I can't wait to come back and try the rest of their menu!

First time at this restaurant.My friend ordered a salad which he thought was good. I ordered a cheese burger which was unflavorful and dry as a hockey puck. Probably will not return.

This was my 3rd visit to this lake Mary location went in today after work. One waitress was sitting chatting with a gentleman when I came in the lady that offered to assist said she did not see me which was true because she was not there when I came in. I moved to the area about a year ago and like the food there. I was starving waiting over 20 minutes still not even a drink, one server saw me and retreated to the back. It was rude. Took a detour to Longhorn Steakhouse and will never go back. Very disappointed..

We live locally and have been coming here regularly for years. Your new manager, Calvin, is creating an "Unfriendly" Confines. He is not welcoming, rarely smiles, and has made rude gestures behind employees backs. I have seen him on several occasions eat food from customers (that he knows) .This is Very unprofessional. We have come to know many regular patrons here and the feeling seems to be mutual. Please don't change the friendly and welcoming environment you have spent years developing.
