Flower Power Concert Series

Every spring during the Flower & Garden Show, Epcot hosts the Flower Power Concert Series at the American Gardens Theatre and it's FREE!Every weekend (Fri, Sat., Sun.) a different popular group plays free concerts during the duration of the Flower & Garden Show. This usually runs March through May depending on it's schedule. Shows run for 30 mins. and the bands play 3 sets during the day. It's always a great time and those attending the Flower & Garden Show sometimes set their schedule at Epcot around the band's performance schedule so the queue sometimes could be quite long. Not to fear because even if you're late or don't get in, it's open air so you can groove to the music just standing in the back.

In previous years it seemed that the Eat to the Beat concert series during the Food and Wine Festival was something I would enjoy tremendously while the Garden Rocks concert series at the Flower and Garden Festival was something that I would roll my eyes at. The performers were either people I had never heard of or if I was familiar with them I didn't have any interest in. Things have gotten significantly better and in 2017 the lineup (and food booths) almost makes it feel like the Food and Wine Festival in the spring, which is more than fine by me. They're now focusing on performers from more decades to make it a more diverse lineup. Dennis DeYoung couldn't sing at all because of illness during the Food and Wine Festival 2016 so it's nice to see him as an addition this year. Also for the first time in 2017 there will be concerts on Mondays instead of only Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. My Disney annual pass gets a strenuous workout in the fall but it looks like it'll be kicking into overdrive in the spring as well.
