Flavors Of Jamaica

Stopped by yesterday to grab dinner and even though there was a lengthy line it went quickly . The decor upon walking in was beautiful. There is a full bar area and coolers for drinks and also an area for snacks. I grabbed the sorrel and passion fruit drinks from the cooler and once I made my way to the window I decided to order an express plate of rice and peas with gravy and jerk chicken, A small brown stew chicken plate with rice and peas and Mac and cheese. I ordered 2 Jerk Chicken Jamaican patties and I took everything to go! My husband only likes jerk chicken & rice and peas so the express plate was for him and swallowed it down not even sure if he chewed. My brown stew chicken was delicious and well seasoned and I love that they weren't stingy with the meat and gravy. The Mac and cheese side was a up charge and it was cheesy and good. The drinks were delicious and also the patties. The customer service was great and the prices are very reasonable. I would def come back and try some other items especially the Jerk chicken . The soup they had looked delicious so I'll add that to items to try on my next visit.

I visited Flavors of Jamaica quite by accident. I went to the bagel shop next door and, upon exiting, noticed this unassuming shop for the first time. Nice place. Nice people. Great food! I purchased a number of things to take home and enjoy during my football Sunday. Spicy beef patty, jerk chicken patty, curry chicken patty, some brown stew chicken, calilloo and some fried tilapia. All tasty. All fresh. I am not well versed in Jamaican food. I have always enjoyed jerk and curry seasonings. The staff took their time explaining things to me. I will visit regularly going forward.

Not only did I enjoy the customer service but I also enjoyed the authenticity of the food. We have so many Jamaican restaurants to choose from in central florida but many have lost their touch in taste and customer service. I will be coming back again.

First time having oxtail since moving from NY and I'm NOT disappointed. The meat fell off the bone. Nuff said.I usually look for the ones serving my food to have a bad attitude because usually that's how I know the food will be good. That's so false in Florida. All the women behind the counter were kind and so helpful. They were personable and seem to have a great rapport with their customers from all walks of life. I'd definitely come back here again.

I didn't know food could taste so good! This place is authentic and amazingly good. The ambiance is great. The service is great as well. We will definitely be coming back.

Delicious food, large portions! Highly recommend! We did ubereats, they got all the food orders right and remembered silverware! Great place!

Walked in after visiting the next door bagel shop . First impressions were good, no strong smelling scent. Clear easy to read menus, unfortunately most of what I wanted was not available at 09:00 in the morning. I ordered salt fish as a side order and cabbage; ackee . Drinks were coconut water from the refrigerator. The portions were ample and fresh tasting, service was prompt and informative. Prices were reasonable. I would like to try the other options next time but not sure how early I need to be there. I was pleased to know they could fry the snapper if requested ( was not on display) . Overall its a neat Jamaican fast food restaurant and seems to have caring people running it. Unfortunately I had to deduct a point (star) for not having the food items so early in the morning but fortunately for you your business is thriving to the extent you're selling out early. Keep up the good work.

My first and last time visiting this place. $19 foot a small Oxtail that was so disgusting, the nastiest oxtails I have ever had in my life! They were hard, very tough couldn't even chew them up! The favor was not good at all didn't taste anything like Jamaica! Not on that I got a beef patty as well that tastes like it had been sitting in the warmer ALL day!! Hard, dry and dark. Only good thing was the drink I got! $25 wasted! Never again!

I've had Jamaican food @ dozens of restaurants, this was by far the most expensive and least tasteful. But overall the customer service was trash, A lot of unfriendliness from the cashier.

The oxtails are the worse. Dont waste your money on them. They are huge and hard AF! Anything else is fine or hit or miss depending on the day or the attitude that day. Service is just pure attitude and short! They need a new oxtail recipe because this isn't it. The cabbage isn't seasons and tastes like straight water! The rice is over cooked and the beans are undercooked, how can you do that?!?
