Love the mobile order option for Flame Tree Barbecue. I was able to order my food while waiting to exit the safari and it was ready soon after arriving to Flame Tree. I was able to watch a live performance across the way from the restaurant which made the time pass quickly. We did not eat in the seating area near the restaurant, but found a place to sit nearby. I love that you can select your own sides for the meals! The pulled pork platter kids sides were applesauce and graham crackers. The St. Louis rib meal sides were a Cuties Orange and rice and beans. I failed to snap a picture before the little started tearing into the ribs. We also ordered the French fries with pulled pork and cheese. Yum! All of the food was delicious and it allowed us to take the break we needed to rest and refuel for the next part of our Disney journey.

Pros: It's pretty centrally located in the middle of the park. Other than deep in Harambe, it's an easy walk from anywhere in the park. Even through the lines get pretty long, there were enough workers to get us through pretty fast. Food was better than typical Disney fare. I was pleasantly surprised. Cons: Portion sizes were pretty sad. Be careful of what you order if you're super hungry.Tips: Get the rib dinner. It was the best things we ordered. Very good.

Came here one day while we were hosting from friends from out of town. We brought their little girl all around Animal Kingdom so she could be excited at all the cute and cool animals there. We had a great time. And when it was time for lunch, we weighed our options and decided to come to good ol' Flame Tree. Standard ambiance. It's a counter service restaurant with many many chairs and tables. There are so many, I'm sure you'll never not be able to find a seat. And the service at that counter is fine. Some super friendly, some mildly grumpy people. Typical Disney mixture. As for the food itself, I got the St. Louis Rib Dinner (St. Louis Ribs served with Beans and Coleslaw). I upgraded my side from beans to rice and beans. Ribs were good. Not too tough, and there was plenty of BBQ sauce for some helpful slathering anyway. Rice and beans were good. More flavorful than I was expecting. Target audience, I reckon. And the slaw was sad and pathetic. If you like slaw, skip this slaw so you're not insulted. I also got to try the Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork (Baked Macaroni & Cheese topped with Smoked Pulled Pork, Crispy Onions, and Coleslaw). Really a sad amount of food, but what was there was nice. Cheesy mac, moist pork in every bite, and those onions added a wonderful texture. Really nice, but don't order this if you are actually hungry. Overall, Disney counter service is all mediocre, we all know that. But this place was actually pretty delicious, and if you order the right thing, it's surprisingly filling. One of the better ones I've been to. I will probably be back.

This was one of the few restaurants open after 5pm, when most of the park closes down as the animals go inside for the night. In the dark, the seating was kind of hard to find, as part of the patio seating was closed off, and we ended up sitting in a mostly unlit area with no one else around. But the barbecue was satisfying and a large amount of food, with kids meals that my kids would eat. So glad we ate dinner here before leaving the Park for the trip back to the hotel, where we ended up crashing. Ordering was simple and easy through the Disney app, with hardly any wait at all.

Typically don't think to write reviews for food spots at Disney but this was worth the review! For $12 this was a very filling lunch! We did mobile order and it was fast! The food was delicious and honestly I wanted to get another one because of how good it was! The seating area was huge! I didn't even know if you keep walking. Pass the few tables they have in the front that they have a whole area on the bottom section. Will definitely be coming back for this in the future.

For a fast food BBQ place inside a giant theme park, this was pretty good! I love the peppery glaze on the outside. It has food flavor and consistency. I'd definitely come back. Most of the food we got for the past 3days in disneyworld were more like chicken strips and fries. They were fast so we didn't wait too long.

Flame Tree Barbecue is a nice quick service restaurant at Animal Kingdom. I love the park, but seem not to visit as often. We did mobile order and it was ready fairly quickly (medium busy day at the park). This menu is very much comfort food and would be good for picky eaters. I went with the BBQ chicken salad, and it hit the spot. Was happy to ha e some greenery and also really love croutons made out of cornbread which the salad had. We ate in the outdoor pavilions, and other than having to fend birds off from stealing our food it was good. I imagine on very hot days the lack of ac is a deterent, but the day we were there wasn't bad. I would definitely eat here again on an AK day!

Flame Tree BBQ is located at Disney's Animal Kingdom. We have walked by this place for as long as we can remember, but we have never actually stopped and ate here. I have read so many reviews about this being the best BBQ place at Disney, so we really were excited to finally try it out. Sadly, it was just ok, it truly was not my favorite, and I didn't quite understand the hype. I think this is more of the smells better than it actually is. My family was visiting so there was 5 of us total. We decided to mobile order and found a seat. I will say that their seating is massive, they have tables all over, more than you even know. If you walk past the restaurant, you are met with tons and tons of tables. Everything though, is outside. There are no indoor seats, and, in the summer, I could see this being very miserable to sit at and eat lunch. Some of the tables are under cover, but still outside, I also did not notice any fans. I honestly don't think I would go here in the summer. It's way too hot here in Florida. After grabbing our table, we did the mobile order. I would highly recommend doing this. It's all done in the app, they have photos of the food and when your order is ready, you just walk up and grab it. Our family all ordered different items. I feel like we had a good variety of choices from the menu. My sister ordered the Smokehouse Chicken Salad: Pulled Chicken on top of Mixed Greens Salad tossed with Smoked Cheddar, Diced Granny Smith Apples, Dried Cranberries, Cornbread Croutons, Crispy Onions, and Barbecue-Ranch Dressing. It was a nice size salad; she seemed to enjoy it. I personally do not like pulled chicken or pulled pork on salads, so it wasn't my cup of tea, but it looked good. My husband and my mom ordered the 1/2 Chicken: Marinated Slow-smoked Chicken served with Signature Baked Beans and Coleslaw. They both really enjoyed this. They commented on the flavor of the seasoning and how much they really enjoyed it. My dad, however, did not like it. He did not care for the taste of the chicken and the seasoning. He did enjoy his meal though; he ordered the Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich: Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich topped with Coleslaw and served with Signature Baked Beans. He enjoyed this a lot. The pulled pork was very tasty. I ordered a similar item. I went with a kid's meal since I wanted mac and cheese as well. So, I ordered Pulled Pork Platter: Served with choice of two Sides and choice of drink. This is my fault, but I assumed it would come with a smaller bun and be a sandwich. It was just a small cup of pulled pork with graham crackers next to it. It was not the best kids' meal compared to others at Disney. I also ordered a side of mac and cheese. It was very cold. I did have to take it back and that took so long, my actual food as well was cold by the time I got back. The mac and cheese the second time was hot, but they clearly scooped from the bottom, so the crusty top of cheese was missing. It was pretty decent mac and cheese though. It wasn't the best but really not bad for a theme park. I would get it again as a side or a snack. Overall, I was sort of disappointed with this. For almost $90 for quick service, I expected more. Again, I have heard so much about this location, even that they make their own BBQ sauce. I asked about it and they are no longer doing that; they serve pre-packaged sauce. I felt that the cast member was not super friendly. I asked to change one of the kid's meal sides and she told me no. My sister wanted extra cheese for her salad and she again, made faces, thought about it and then begrudgingly went and got it for her. I asked for additional sauce packets, not sure who wanted it, and was told it was 1 per meal. The cast member that helped replace my mac and cheese, when I went back was very friendly though, apologetic and replaced it right away. I just felt that this was ok. I might go back but honestly, I would probably just snack around Animal Kingdom, head over to Nomad Lounge or even eat at Pandora. This is a standard park fare food, if you enjoy BBQ, it is a decent place to go. The view can be really great if you really walk down, you can sit on the water actually. Not my favorite but just ok.

I had seen this on a couple you tube videos & it looked amazing, it wasn't. Not sure if whoever made it fell short but the pork was very skimpy. It was just ok don't think I'd order it again.

Flame Tree BBQ is a must for us every time we visit Animal Kingdom Park in Disney World. This time we got the ribs, chicken & pulled pork sampler which comes with cole slaw and baked beans. I also got a pinot Grigio. Flame Tree has its own dry rub which gives a delicious flavor to its meat. The meat is always tender and flavorful. The baked beans and cole slaw are also a major favorite! Flame Tree is very good value for the money with good sized portions. Use their mobile app for easy ordering ahead and to avoid lines! We often sit in the shaded area near the canal & often see the musical boat float by. Highly recommend!
