First Watch

We were heading up to Apopka for the day from Winter Garden and decided to try the First Watch there instead of one more locally. We joined the waitlist before leaving home. When we got there, the parking lot was full, so we had to park in the "overflow" parking (AKA the parking lot for the urgent care). I checked in with one of the hosts. When we were finally called for our table, we were seated at a two-seater table...with cushiony chairs! They were like someone's living room or nice dining room chairs. It was so comfortable, and that's when I noticed that this First Watch's décor was a step above others. There was even a bar with seating around it. I was very impressed. We were seated near the host stand, the bar, and the kitchen, so I was able to watch everyone. All of the employees at every level seemed to be working hard and keeping things running smoothly. And the main hostess (or perhaps a manager) was ensuring tables were cleaned and re-sat efficiently. She even stopped by to ask if we had been helped yet. The man who appeared to be the head manager appeared very involved with everything, too. It was impressive to see. This is how a good restaurant is run. The food, of course, was excellent as usual. Our entrees came out fresh from the kitchen and still hot. If it wasn't so far away from home, we'd visit this First Watch more often, just for the ambiance and staff.

Man, I don't like leaving bad reviews for something so small, but it's a big deal to me. It's a great location but the attention to detail isn't the best here. This review is in regards to ordering online. I love biscuits and gravy and on multiple occasions I've received my delivery order with no gravy. It's in the name (biscuits and gravy) so without the gravy it's not really the meal that I expected. The frustration is real. I've even had to drive myself back to pick up the gravy, it defeats the purpose of ordering online for delivery. I stopped doing that and just simply go to the app and ask for a full refund. Come on guys let's get it together over there. It's a small ripple that becomes a large wave.

This is my favorite breakfast spot in Florida and we come here (but different locations) every time I'm in town. Everything I have tried has been amazing so I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. The healthy options are excellent and I always get my green juice. But they also have the yummy pancakes, etc. Service is also always great with the happiest servers - clearly a great place to work. The restaurant is has a nice cozy more upscale dinner vibe with booth and table seating. I forgot to take a pic of my food this time because I was so hungry lol... Absolutely recommend First Watch to everyone !

First Watch has stepped up their game with décor, service, and even a full bar! My husband and I ate breakfast for the first time at this First Watch location this week and we had a great experience. The décor has a rustic, industrial feel that we both really loved. My husband started with a coffee and I had a hot chocolate, both were delicious and served to us quickly. Our server was friendly, quick, and got everything for our order correct. The spring menu had some interesting options, so both of us decided to get the hacienda hash. Unfortunately, they were out of chorizo. Thankfully, they had an employee on the way to deliver some, so we decided to wait. In the meantime, they gave us some complimentary donut holes with blueberry and chocolate sauce. The donut holes were slightly sweet, had more of a muffin texture then a donut texture, and the dipping sauces were delicious. I got my hash with scrambled eggs and my husband tried eggs over easy. I am not usually a hash person, but this hash was AMAZING! The potatoes were crispy, the chorizo gave it a spicy kick, the eggs were perfectly cooked, and the sauce on top pulled everything together. We will definitely eat here again!Rating from F to A+++, I give it an A+++!

Cute and cozy. Has all the staple brunch food and more. Mexican style burritos and funky drink combos make it unique. Nothing crazy special but definitely a nice place to hop on in if you're feeling brunchy.

I had a great time at First watch of Apopka. This is my first time at this location but definitely will not be my last. We were seated immediately as we walked in but I was kind of annoyed because they sat us right next to the bathrooms. Other than that the staff took care of us. The restaurant was clean and so beautiful. The amount of natural light coming in was amazing and made me happy to be at this business. Me and my husband loved each and every single thing we tasted. We did try some of the fall dishes and we are so happy we did. The cinnamon chip pancakes were the absolute best! Definitely can taste it as I write this review! So good. The "chips" are not chocolate like I originally thought but are a cinnamon sugar chip instead. The cinnamon butter topped on the pancake just brought it together perfectly! The steak and bacon breakfast burrito (we had it without bacon or chorizo) was so good as well. I liked the Vera Cruz hollandaise sauce better than the Al pastor sauce, so I would order again but just with the hollandaise sauce. Great time and wonderful food. Thank you First watch!

We are out of towners, visiting from Guam. We had brunch after Sunday mass and we did come in during their lunch rush. Although it was busy upon walking in, we were immediately greeted with smiles and was told we'd be assisted asap. Collin was our server and was great! He checked in on us several times during the our meal even if he was busy with his other tables. The other staff were friendly as well! Food was amazing and so were the drinks. We loved it so much and came back again the following Sunday. Highly recommend, food is great. Service is excellent and the ambiance of the restaurant was very nice as well.

First Watch, I love you. I really do. But this location needs to get it together. I understand weekends are a zoo here, but some organized leadership may help with the unnecessarily long wait times. The staff, although sweet, is scattered, and being open for this long now, the "chicken without a head" thing going on here is no longer acceptable. That being said, First Watch has the absolute best brunch menu and some fantastic drinks, both alcoholic and not. Just be warned that the service at this location is not yet up to it's other local locations standards. While the employees are wonderful, they always seem extremely short staffed.

The food was delicious. We had a group of 8 and were able to be seated right away. The restaurant was welcoming and friendly. restrooms were clean and well maintained.

WOW! Great breakfast. I have 4-pages of food allergies and the whole team took the time to make a great breakfast. From cooking my omelette in a separate pan to the gluten free toast. All delicious. Warm, friendly wait staff. My better half, who is allergy free thoroughly enjoyed this chorizo hash and over easy eggs. We will be back.
