Loved this restaurant, the food is delicious. We had the chicken taquitos to start. And oh my they were nice and crunchy and the toppings just made it better. Then, for actual dinner we tried the carne asada that comes with rice, black beans, plantains, and veggies. And the steak and mushrooms quesadilla. Also very good. The food was delicious. The service was on point, and loved the decoration, rustic look. The music was nice too. I had to dance a bit in the patio

The food was very delicious ! A bit overpriced for the portion sizes (reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars) The ambiance was absolutely lovely! Really enjoyed the vibe and decor And service was great!

F&D is a solid Tex Mex spot in the Thorton Park / Lake Eola area. The thing I appreciate most here is that they have a good selection of vegetarian options available via a QR code on the menu. One downside that I learned on my most recent visit is that the rice that comes in the "vegetarian" meals is not actually vegetarian, which no one had mentioned to me before so hopefully it was a recent change. The kind server who informed me of this recommended swapping the rice for more of the black beans, which are vegetarian. The service has been always been good, though at times a tad slow when things are busier. The drinks are good, though again, the bar can be a little slow so you might receive them after your appetizers come out. Overall a great spot with a fun vibe and tasty food and drinks.

The Food was SO SO GOOD!! Fresh snd pipping hot!! Thanks to Kyle our bottomless Mimosas were always full and he let us sit and chat and meander through our meal. I don't know if this is tge most authentic Mexican I've had, but it was delicious!! I should also mention that the interior design and decorations are FANTASTIC! The porch outside is also SUPER pretty with quiet & cool, chill vibes.

I've been here more than a few times. I tend to come here for group lunches with coworkers. The chips and salsa are really good. The chips have a nice flavor and the salsa changed recently so it is a bit more of a blended chunky type salsa. Where it used to be more smooth. I really enjoy the red and green salsa, the flavors are very good. Overall the services is OK most of the time and the food is pretty good. I tend to order the steak and mushroom quesadilla which is quite nice for lunch and filling. I guess I just feel kind of moderate about this place, their salsa is good. The service could be hit or miss depending on who's waiting on you, and the food is pretty good but nothing super special to me. if you're in the neighborhood it's nice to drop in. They have really good drinks and I would definitely recommend their red sangria but the food is OK. Definitely come for a drink and some chips and salsa. Parking is either the paid parking garage that is eight dollars for up to two hours or street parking if you're lucky to find a spot.

Food is decent. Love the atmosphere but service is okay. A year ago this was a staple for me just recently food quality has declined. Fajitas are not as quality as before. Everything else is great! Definitely still fun and will visit.

My friend made a reservation for her birthday on a busy Saturday night. There is no parking lot for this restaurant. You will either need to find street parking (free after 6pm and all day Sunday) or pay for the nearby Thornton Park garage. Personally I hate paying to park so I circled Lake Eola twice until I was able to find a spot to parallel park that was about a 3 minute walk to the restaurant. The decor was mostly dark, and seemed to have a Dia De Los Muertos theme. Walking in a few minutes after our reservation, the rest of our party was already seated and awaiting drinks. The drinks took about 20 minutes to be made for our table of 8. There are no free chips and salsa. We ordered the trio which came with a refillable basket of chips (with a seasoning I believe was Tajin) and a smoky queso, guacamole, and the choice between salsas-roja or verde. I ordered the skirt steak fajitas, which came with 3 tortillas (choice of flour or corn), a small amount of lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream, rice and beans. Overall the food was good, but pricey for the portion sizes. On my fajita plate the steak was cooked well but the bell peppers were a little crunchy still. Contrasted with the onions that were almost burnt. For $24 I definitely hoped to get more steak. Our server was good about filling our waters but several times she didn't hear an order or missed part (for example my friend wanted to change the rim on her Margarita to sugar but her drink was made incorrectly and needed to be replaced). I didn't order an alcoholic drink, but was able to taste several of my friend's drinks. They were good and slightly high priced for the area. They were slightly sweeter than I prefer my drinks, so I am glad I stuck with water. Overall, the food and service were pretty good, but by no means was it a standout Mexican restaurant in a town that has many better options.

F&D Cantina offers a vibrant atmosphere with a diverse menu that never disappoints. The staff is attentive, and while there can be a slight wait during peak hours, the flavorful dishes make it worthwhile. A great spot for casual dining!

Everything about my husband's birthday dinner was perfect! I'm very sad that we haven't tried it before. The decor is completely authentically. Mexican and a lot of fun. There's something to look at in every corner. The food was delicious! And our server Kyle was the best! Make sure you try their homemade hot sauces they are delightful! And their blueberry cilantro margarita was over the top! They even ended the night with a surprise firework presentation for my husband's birthday!
