Evans Prairie Country Club

Came here one evening at about 6:15 and only had to wait 4 minutes after our reservation time . Our server alerted us to the fact that she was a trainee under another, but will take care of us and promptly took our beverage orders and whisked away. After a few minutes she returned with non-bar beverages and after a few more minutes a bartender served the bar beverages. Kristen then returned with hot buns and explained a few menus item questions and then took our order and off she went to get the process going ins. The time flew and before we knew it, our orders were presented hot and tasty. I had asked for no green beans and it was substituted with beets along with the carrots and roasted sweet potatoes. The chicken breast covered with mushrooms, onions and sheets was a tad bit salty, but the overall dinner was very good. Others had the strip steak nd he said it was very nice and cooked to his liking, my spouse had a flatbread and loved it. The entire process was to all our liking and we sat around and talked with no one rushing us to get out. The manager stopped by a few times and questioned the trainee service was flawless and quality of our food which met all expectations.

Went with a group of about 20 people. Sat in the breezeway with a nice view out into nature. Our server was great. The dining area was clean and attractive. Everyone, I spoke with, enjoyed their meal. Best of all the food was served hot. One of my pet peeves is food served warm or at room temperature. Happens, to me, more often than you would expect.Definitely will return

I've been here twice so far. Once for lunch and once for dinner. My lunch, which was a salad, was good. We recently went out to dinner with friends here and it was just okay.The Good:1) Their filet is really good and was cooked well2) Our server, while super busy, was really nice3) Their stuffed mushrooms are my favorite4) We enjoyed the crème brulee 5) Beautiful setting if you dine outside on the patioThe Not So Good:1) My husband's vegetables came completely unseasoned and cold - he had to send them back. When they came back - they were warmer but still completely unseasoned. He is the type of person who NEVER sends anything back. He couldn't eat them and he said it basically ruined his meal. He didn't get the warmed ones until he was already finished his steak, so a real miss there.Don't think we'll do dinner again there, but I'd go for lunch again.

The Thai Shrimp were absolutely outstanding. They were lightly battered and the sauce was fantastic.

The gang got together tonight for a trip to The Villages..: We all had a wonderful experience at this place tonight.... Well almost, the area we were seated in seemed to have an AC issue and the room was humid.As far as food...We had one that ordered Angus Burger cooked medium but he found it to be very pink and greasy. The other 4 found their food very flavorful and cooked perfect. - the table bread they serve is excellent! Atmosphere was nice. Overall value was very good and we would recommend to others. Service was spot on. We would definitely return

Our Father's Day meal was pretty good. I enjoyed the buttered fish dish, but my Wife thought her meatloaf could have used some sauce. Our server was a delight, and I loved looking out on the prairie as we dined. I read much about this restaurant before we went. Most of it was negative. But I'd go again. Perhaps my Wife would avoid the meatloaf. Oh, the Lava cake was fantastic.

I consistently have great service and food from here! I highly recommend it! Beautiful atmosphere inside and out!

The food was good and hot. We got the chicken Alfredo, shrimp teriyaki, and fish and chips. The ambiance was quiet, we were surprised because in the winter it is very busy. The service was not that great. Our waitress wasn't very friendly or talkative and even questioned us when we asked for more sauce. As a paying customer, we were a little taken back by that, but we just ate our food and had a good family meal together. The chicken Alfredo needed salt in my opinion, and I usually never add extra salt to my meals. We also made a reservation, and in the process of doing so, the woman on the phone asked if we were celebrating anything special. Turns out it was my grandmothers birthday, so we made sure to say that. When we got to Evan's prairie, we expected to have a nice little celebration or acknowledgment of some sort, but we got nothing. Not saying this made us have a bad experience, but it definitely didn't add anything amazing to the experience.

This was one of my favs. However, it truly seems to be a steep downslope lately. Meals have become iffy. Service is still good and the bar is pretty good but the kitchen has some serious issues. I have had fish dishes where the fish was TOUGH!! Needed a knife to cut it. Tonight I had a simple French Dip and the juice was horrible,and the meat so so. I don't know what has happened but has been downhill since they changed the Osso Bucco from top of joint (single bone) to bottom of joint (two bone). Two bone was TOUGH and people stopped ordering. Now it's totally off the menu.The downward trend continues. A real shame!!
