El Tarasco

I've been looking for a place that sells tamales and this is THE place to get them. Sure it's a dive but it's authentic Mexican food. The only tamales they serve are chicken salsa verde and they are amazing. I ordered two for $2 each and after tasting them I ordered 2 more to go. The verde sauce comes on the side and has a nice kick but probably too much kick for some but I loved it. The service was super fast and friendly. The tables were showing their wear so it's not a fancy place by any means but I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

I went there today and there was no one in view but heard in the back. Finally someone came out. I ordered my food and walked to the restaurant area. Got my food and no beverage was available. Food was good but the eggs were burnt. Come on really? Wish you had a picture

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food at a great price, look no further! It's a small hole in the wall type place, and from experience, these are always the best! My friend and I ordered carne asada tacos, chicken tamales with salsa verde and a chicken tostada, along with horchata to drink. The horchata cup was a large serving! I love horchata and was super excited that it was a large portion and it was delicious! The tacos were fantastic as well, topped with onion and cilantro. I always bypass the cilantro. The hot sauce was a bit too spicy for my palate, but the flavor of it was great! Will definitely return to try more things!

My stop for affordable and delicious tacos! They have a decent menu and it's conveniently available for pickup if you call ahead. When in Haines City, try them out.

I would say it isn't the fanciest date night joint. YET, it's extremely clean and the service is fast. The people that work there are efficient and nice. Locals seem to enjoy the tortillas. The prices are right on for the quality and quantity. I love the tacos here. Fresh, fresh, fresh, no hard day old tortillas and the meats are tender and juicy. Highly recommend! Seems perfect for a family time experience.

The food was amazingly good very authentic. I will definitely go back. The cashier was very knowledgeable very pleasant and very helpful I really like that type Customer Service.

We were staying in the area for 2 weeks and ordered takeout from them about 4 times...honestly wish we could have their food every night! The tacos and flautas were delicious! Quick service and wonderful, fresh food. Wish I'd have snapped a picture of our food!

Totally a hole in the wall but just the type of place you'd love. Totally authentic Mexican food. Small dining area so don't bring a group. Mostly a to go place. Ordered something that translates Flutes of Chicken.

ordered 10 tacos they gave me a time frame of 10-15 minute. they took over 30 min. they gave two half filled sauces and two quarter wedges of limes for 10 tacos is ridiculous. Not the first time this has happened.

Looks like new owners. Met what I believe to be the owner. Great guy seemed to care about his food and appearance of his restaurant. Food was very good. 100% will return.
