Very nice spot, but the service not so good. Had to wait 10min. Food was good though. Service needs work

Ordered 3 sandwiches which were ALL mediocre. WHO MESSES UP TOSTONES? Tostones were terrible, as was the alcapurria and the pastelito. Save yourself the trouble and go to Taínos instead.

A joke, primero 9.99 por un sándwich de jamón y queso que tiene solo 1 slice de jamón ... el pastelillo de guayaba estaba crudo no se infló el pastry o el hojaldre y no tenía casi nada pasta de guayaba parece que se lo untaron con una servilleta. No vale la pena.. si vas a vender un sandwich por lo menos tienes que ponerle 3 slices de jamón por ese precio. Un total robo!

This place is legit Puertorican coffees, breads, frituras/fried goodies, smiling faces on the staff and happy customers buzzing in and out of this place. We purchased the pan de agua it was so fresh!! Papa relleno aka potato ball it was YUM! Took a small vanilla flan to go! With a medium cafe con leche w brown sugar. Can't wait to go back! Support this amazing business! Let's eat!!

Just tried El Coqui this morning for the first time. My husband ordered the Bistek sandwich, and I got a bacon egg and cheese. Both sandwiches were REALLY good! My husband was happily surprised that the sandwich was actual Bistek, and not like the thin shaved steak (that would be in a steak & cheese sandwich). I also ordered a small hot chocolate, and a few pastries to go. They all looked really tasty ! Overall super happy and excited about this spot. Will definitely come back. Music / Ambience was also on point, and service was great & super helpful. :)

The empanada de pollo is delicious. The atmosphere is quaint, and clean. They have many pastry options. We had a nice lazy Sunday morning munching on empanadas and watching the rain.

This place gives salvatores and magnolia square market a run for their money. This is the arguably the best sandwich in sanford. It's hard to beat a real bakery that makes everything fresh like this.I'm happy to have this place as my own little secret but their staff deserves for people to know that there is a serious bakery with passionate chefs serving some of the best food right in downtown sanford.We need more places in sanford like this they deserve to be an iconic and legendary spot for orlando.I honestly don't want you to believe me because I kind of want this place to myself but it's literally unfair how good this place is.

Love this spot! The empanadas and pastries are the best . My grandma is PR and she lives in Miami, I just moved to Sanford and this was the comfort food I needed. The team is so sweet and I was at porchfest for the first time and got the cutest shirt that they were passing out . It's so cute inside and can't wait to see the dining area they have next door!!

I live in downtown Sanford and was excited to try out this new bakery. Unfortunately on my first visit I received very rude service and will not be coming back. I walked in and took a look at what was in the case, asked a few simple questions and thought I was being very friendly. However the person standing behind the cash register had a nasty attitude with me and was making faces like I was being dumb by asking what was inside of the different pastries. Very condescending and disrespectful for no apparent reason when I was asking simple questions in a very friendly tone Hopefully your experience is different!

Right when you walk in you're hit with the beautiful smell of fresh baked goods. Staff was super nice and friendly. Had a decent sized line and the food came out pretty fast and best of all FRESH! Ordered 1 empanada along with some other stuff and once I opened my bag I realized they had given me an extra empanada (may have been an accident) but a nice surprise none the less! Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend to any other Puerto Ricans in the area. Great prices as well!
