Eagle Lake Family Diner

Had 2 eggs over easy, bacon, grits and biscuit plus fried green tomatoes and coffee. Eggs as ordered, bacon cooked well, perfectly cooked grits, awesome biscuit and the best fried green tomatoes I've had in years. Good coffee. Attentive and pleasant waitress. A++++++++

I love to stop here for lunch while traveling for work. They have a daily lunch buffet for really reasonable prices, but I haven't gotten it yet because I'm worried I would over eat and then be too tired to finish my day. However, I love to come in and order off the menu. The place is usually quite busy when I come in, especially when the snowbirds are in town. The prices are reasonable and it is typical diner fare with a southern spin. You seat yourself and can order the buffet or off the menu. Breakfast is served all day. The fries here are excellent and mine have always been served piping hot. Service is friendly and quick. Great place to stop if you find yourself in Eagle Lake.

Family friendly & authentic homemade taste in this little gem! The pancakes have a really great taste. They are soft and very tasty. The sausage links are cooked to perfection! Bacon crispy just as I like it! The eggs are buttery and the biscuits and gravy are delicious! They made Mickey Mouse cakes for the girls as well. I highly recommend this diner. It's cozy inside. They also have a buffet and the food they had looks like it won't let you down.

5 stars for a greasy spoon diner with an easy going atmosphere. Friendly service and great food! I've only been here for breakfast so I can't speak to any other meal but it's become a tradition for my family to eat here when I come into town from Tennessee. I recommend the grits, toast and eggs! I've had the fired potatoes a few times but in my opinion they need a little more flavor or seasoning. The pancakes are so good I don't even use syrup-I know, I'm weird. But seriously try a bite with just butter! Mmmmm! Bottom line is this place is a jewel! If you're in Polk County it's worth the trip!

Love this place. Old Florida feel with hearty breakfasts. We try to stop when traveling north. Omelets, fried chicken, pancakes are delicious.

We have been regulars and love it. The food is always the same, good no matter what it is always good. The buffet line is wonderful full, clean, tasty and hot. We love breakfast. I wish they would enclose the lanai for more seating. It does get noisy because we all know it's a great place to eat. Try the pork tenderloin or a hamburger yumm. The bathrooms are clean, kitchen clean. Everything just right. The servers are busy but still remember that you like a slice of onion on you tenderloin. That's another reason we are loyal.

This is a wonderful family style diner. The service and food are excellent. We come here often.

Hours posted as opened till 2:30 pm. Walked in a 2:02 and they would not seat us told they were closed except for order pick ups.When pointed out door says 2:30 was told again, "No, will not seat you

Reliable down home Southern diner food, fairly priced. Actually a bargain. Very busy. Only breakfast and lunch. Nice staff

Eagle Lake Diner is a wonderful place to eat. Good food, prices, service and atmosphere. Kept clean and have a wonderful buffet.
